THE THREAT

"Now we have no hope of getting to them," Shelly's father said angrily. "Sir we are trying our best," the principal said. "Just shut up, you were there when they were telling me that all my private planes stopped working and as you said all airports are closed," Shelly's father said raucously.

"Our children better be safe" John's father said. "How could you be this careless" the president said. "There can still be a way out," the principal said panicking. "Which way! which way! answer me" the president shouted.

"I'll make sure your children return in safe hands," the principal said in an assuring voice. "Stop giving us false hope," John's father said. "I'm tired of this nonsense, see Mr. principal I give you three days, three days to bring them back home safely, if not, you know what I can do," the President said angrily.

"We'll make sure they're back by then," the principal said on his kneels. "Three days, three days is all I give you, now leave my presence," the president said. The principal slowly stood up and left without looking back. When he came out of the compound he was rather confused.

"The President just threatened me, this is beyond my power. The school is on the line and the proprietor is doing everything but all our effort seems fruitless and we can't travel by land" he thought deeply. "The only option we have now is to pray that they're safe because that was a serious threat," he said as he entered his car and zoomed off.

The president and Mr. Williams we're still in the sitting room. "Were you serious about the threat," Mr. Williams asked. "Yes, I was" he answered. "How did it even happen, how could they be so careless and the most surprising part of it is that no plane is working and all airports is closed," Mr. Williams said. "Only God would save them, my one and only daughter, how would she survive," he said sadly.

"Don't worry my son can take care of her" Mr. Williams said. "Your son," he said as he laughed slightly. "Yes, he was trained for a situation like this, he is a fearless young man," he said. " I hope they are both alright," he said.

John Billion was tired of waiting for Shelly, he had not heard anything from her. He has tried calling her severally but her line was not going through. He decided to go see her at her place because he could still remember where he dropped her the last time they went out. He was standing in front of a big gate. He pressed a button and someone spoke from inside.

"Who is this" the voice asked. "I'm here to see Shelly, I'm her friend," he said. "Sorry there's no one by that name in this residence," the voice said. "But I dropped her here the last time we went out," he said. "Sorry, Mr. but there's no one by that name," the voice said.

"Young miss" he heard a voice say. "What is going on here," the voice said. "A young man is saying he's looking for Shelly" the voice that has been talking to him said.

"Let him in," the other voice said. "Yes, miss" the person answered. "Young man, you can come in," the voice said to John Billion. "Thank you," he said and the gate was opened. He went in and a maid took him to the sitting room where he sat down. Soon Rita is seen coming down the stairs, she was wearing a tank top and high waist skirt.

She came down to the sitting room and was shocked to see John Billion in her house, she wanted to freak out. "Oh my God, John Billion what are you doing here," she said to him.

"You must be the young miss," he said. "Yes, I've told Mr. Rex the gatekeeper to stop calling me that but he won't listen," she said and sat down opposite him. "Is Shelly around, I guess this is her house, and are you not her friend Ri....." he said as he kept forgetting her name.

"It's Rita and this is not her house," she said. "What do you mean, the last time we went house, it was here I dropped her," he said. "To be honest, she does not like people going to her house because of some certain factor" she explained. "Oh, so can you take me to her house," she asked.

"Sorry but she's not yet back," she said sadly. "But she told me she would be back this week and you were also with her," he said. "Yes, but she was forgotten at the venue for the Night camp," she said sadly. "What do you mean forgotten," he asked also sounding worried.

"They were left there," she said almost crying. "Don't cry, what do you mean they?" he asked. "She and John one of our classmates," she said. "So it's a he," he said. "yes but trust me they're rivals, I don't know how they'll cope but she likes him," she said rather unconsciously. "She likes what," he said. Rita realizing what she has just said did not know what to say. "um, maybe," she said not knowing what to say.

"Hum," he said. All this while he could not take his eyes off Rita and she noticed it. They talked about themselves and got to know about themselves. When he was leaving they exchanged contact. As soon as he left, she was happy and went to her room.

"Thank you Shelly" she whispered as she sat at her reading table. "I think he's into me," she thought again smiling but soon the smile faded as she remembered her friends. Rita refused to go to school reason being that her friends were not there. Peter tried to convince her but to no avail.

She told him that until they return, she's not going to school. Through the class group chat, she got to know what was happening in school. She found out that the whole school has known what was happening, it spread like wildfire, from one student to another it went around the school.

Everyone knew that the parents of the students would threaten the school, the vice principal was still handling the school while the principal and the proprietor were running around looking for a solution.

On the evening of that day, Mrs. Bill called Diamond and Jessy and told them what was going on and they told her that they would come as soon as possible, probably the next day.

Mrs. Williams also called Joan and Jimmy and explained to them the situation at hand. "Which explains why I've not been able to reach her," Joan said. " I pray they are both okay," Jimmy said. "We're coming back first thing tomorrow morning," Jimmy said and their mother agreed.

Shelly and John were still wandering in the forest. Shelly knew her father would threaten the school but she prayed her father should not do anything.

Surprisingly the airport was open for planes coming in that morning. Diamond and Jessy arrived in the country before Joan and Jimmy arrived.
