Chapter Ten

After Luke told Alex who he worked for, Alex knew instantly who it was as it was his main enemy who keeps trying to get his vampires to turn against Alex but none of them will turn against him as they are all loyal to Alex. Once Luke told him that Alex told Josh and some of the other vampires that they could feed on him and kill him whilst Alex tried to figure out what would the hound want with humans as he always hunted vampires. Back at the den Lily stayed in her room for the majority of the time that Alex was gone but once she got bored of staying in her room, she decided to wander through the park for a bit. Lily walked out of the den and sat on a bench whilst thinking where was Alex and what was he doing. After sitting on the bench for a good twenty minutes Lily went back through the park and started to make her way back into the den but when she was near the den she heard a rustling noise near a bush, so she turned around as quick as she could but the person that was behind the bush came in front of her and Lily screamed as loud as she could.

" Ahhh!" Lily screamed as someone came in front of her.

" Lily shush stop screaming!" Alex yelled at her while trying to hug her to stop screaming.

" I thought you were someone else Alex don't do that ever again." Lil insisted whilst hugging him back.

" Why were you out here?" Alex asked her whilst letting go of her.

" I was bored of staying in my room and the den so I decided to go for a wander through the park." Lily explained whilst they both sat down on a wall.

" Oh right okay." Alex replied feeling relieved.

" But where did you and the other vampires go Alex?" Lily questioned him whilst looking up at his face.

" If I tell you will you promise not to get mad at me I only did it for your safety and to find something out." Alex asked her with guilt in his face.

" I promise I won't get mad but  it depends what it is." Lily told Alex whilst smiling at him.

" Well you know how Luke kidnapped you?" Alex asked her with concern in his voice.

" Yeah what about him.?" Lily asked him while the smile was fading from her face.

" Me and the other vampires on my command captured him and questioned him and then the others killed him once we got the answers we wanted."  Alex explained to her whilst looking down ashamed.

" So your telling me that my brother had information that you wanted and once you got that information you just killed him for real this time." Lily asked him whilst trying to hold back her tears.

" Um, yes that's basically it." Alex told her with regret.

" So he is really dead this time or are you just saying that, Alex please tell me he is dead." Lily pleaded with him.

" Yeah he is dead but why do you want him to be dead." Alex asked her with sympathy.

" Well he wasn't exactly the greatest brother and he was gone for most of my life i was on my own for five years until about two years ago he begged me to let him be a part of my life." Lily explained to him whilst a tear dropped off of her face.

" But why do you not care he is dead?" Alex asked her whilst hugging her.

" I do care just not as much." Lily told him.

After speaking with Alex, Lily made her way back into the den and made her way to her room and just sat on her bed thinking about her brother. Back with Alex he made his way into the hall and sat down on the steps and started to think about how was he going to find the hound and what was he going to do with Lily and whether she would stay with these vampires. Once it was morning Lily decided she was going back to school as she hadn't been in a few weeks and decided it was time to go back again, once she was ready she started to make her way out of the den and towards the school. Back with Alex he decided to go to Lily's room to check if she was okay but when he got there Lily wasn't there and he started to wonder where she was but then he realised that she must've gone to her school as it was a Monday. After making it to school Lily made her way to her first lesson, she went into the classroom and sat down in the back so no one could hear or see her but someone did and it was the teacher who asked her to come outside the classroom to talk so Lily followed the teacher outside the classroom to talk.

" Where have you been Lily it has been three weeks, nearly a month since you've been in school." The teacher asked her sounding concerned.

" Um...I don't really wanna say why I haven't been in sir." Lily replied with hesitation.

" But we need to know why you haven't been showing up." The teacher told her firmly.

" I know but I'd rather not right now but I will when I am ready." Lily explained to her teacher whilst trying not to sound sad and upset.

" Lily that's not how this works, if you don't want to tell me then got to the principle's office and I will tell them your coming, off you go then." The teacher explained to Lily.

Once she finished the conversation with her teacher Lily made her way to the principle's office after going back into the classroom to get her stuff. After waiting outside the office for ten minutes the principle invited Lily into her office while she was looking at Lily with concern and worry.

" Lily your teacher explained to me that you won't tell him why you haven't been in, so you can tell me." The principle explained whilst Lily sat down in the chair opposite her.

" I haven't been in school, well because..." Lily spoke but got interrupted with the door opening.

"Lily do not tell them!" Alex shouted to her whilst opening the door.

"But Alex they need to know why I haven't been in." Lily told him whilst tears started to make their way down her face.

" I will explain, you wait outside." Alex told her aggressively.

Once Alex told her to wait outside while he explained why she hasn't been in school, she made her way outside to wait and closed the door behind her and sat down in the chair outside the principle's office. Lily waited nervously while she could hear Alex shouting at the principle but couldn't hear what he  or the principle was shouting at each other.
