12 What?

(3rd Person Pov)

Goku, Vegeta and Trunks were surprised by the words the individual Jin Mori had spoken. He's the God Of Destruction? It was supposed to be Beerus wasn't it?

Goku nudged Vegeta as he whispered.

"*Whisper* Hey Vegeta, do you know this Jin Mori guy? He seems to know you."

Vegeta shook his head as he answered.

"I've most certainly never met someone who goes by that name. Not to mention, I certainly would remember someone who has such overwhelming God Ki."

Vegeta scruntinised Mori when he noticed something shocking.

"A tail?! You're a saiyan?!"

Goku surprised by Vegeta's yell took a look at Mori's waist, and indeed, he had a tail. Mori simply raised an eyebrow in surprise at Vegeta's words as he spoke sarcastically.

"No. I'm not a saiyan, I'm a monkey that evolved into this."

Both Trunks and Vegeta took notice of the sarcasm in Jin Mori's words, except Goku who looked shocked.

"Woah! You were an actual monkey and evolved into a Super Saiyan God?! That's incredible!"

Mori deadpanned at Goku before he sighed and shook his head as he spoke.

"Moving on, I am indeed a Saiyan. How could you not know that Vegeta? We were childhood friends afterall."

Vegeta shook his head as he answered.

"I've never met you in my entire life. Besides Kakarot, his children, and my son, I had believed all the saiyans were killed off by Frieza."

Mori looked shocked at Vegeta's words as he muttered.

"Planet Vegeta was destroyed?"

Vegeta nodded his head as he spoke.

"That's right. Frieza killed off the saiyans because he was afraid of the Legendary Super Saiyan."

Mori digested Vegeta's words before he questioned him.

"Vegeta, tell me on planet Vegeta, was there ever a female saiyan who went by the name of Ichigo? She was dubbed the strongest Saiyan at the time when I was young."

Vegeta shook his head as Mori sighed and spoke.

"I see. I now have a guess as to why that is so. Yourself and Goku are from a different timeline from my own. That's quite sad, I was really curious how my mom was doing after thirty eight years of training."

Vegeta seemed like he wanted to speak, but was cut off by Mori.

"Oi. You with the blue hair. I presume you are miss Bulma's Son?"

Trunks tensed up feeling Mori's gaze upon him as he answered.

"Yes!"

"Tell me, that machine behind you allows you the ability to time travel correct?"

Trunks gulped, but nodded his head as Mori continued.

"Time travelling is forbidden by divine law. And, I'm assuming this isn't the first time you've travelled back in time either?"

Mori's words caused Trunks to clench his fist, but still nodded his head as Mori raised his palm facing Trunks causing both Goku and Vegeta to immeadiately transform into their Super Saiyan Blue and get into their combat stance.

Their sudden transformation elicited a raised eyebrow from Mori before he shook his head and spoke.

"Stand down both of you. That boy has broken the divine law on more than one occasion. As the God Of Destruction, I cannot simply overlook his actions. But dont worry, I will make his death quick and painless. Though I will destroy his body, I wont destroy his soul. Allowing him access to the afterlife."

"Wait!"

All eyes fell to Bulma who yelled as she now stood directly in front of Mori's outstreched palm as she spoke.

"Listen please Jin Mori. We never knew that time travel was forbidden! When Trunks first travelled back in time, it was in the hopes that changing the past would fix the future. And the second time was because he needed to get help from Goku and Vegeta to defeat Goku Black! And besides, I'm the one who invented the machine in the first place. If you are going to kill anyone for breaking divine law, then kill me not my son!"

Trunks and Vegeta were horrified at Bulma's words as Trunks screamed.

"Wait no! Please don't kill her! We never even knew in the first place that time travelling was forbidden by divine law! You can't just kill us for not knowing these divine laws and our desperation to keeping the innocent people safe from all these threats!"

Jin Mori took a look at both Bulma and Trunks before he sighed and lowered his palm causing both Goku and Vegeta to let out a relieved sigh, and power down in the hopes that Mori might not think that they want a fight to happen as Mori spoke.

"Very well. I understand that you weren't aware of the severity of your actions, and in a desperate attempt to seek help from stronger allies you time travelled. I also wont kill either of you two as it's unfair of me to when it was the lack of action from the former God Of Destruction Beerus that caused all this unnecessary and tragic events."

Everyone present released a relieved sigh as Mori huffed and muttered.

"I swear that useless God. His slothfullness has caused so much problems for this timeline."

Now that everyone had calmed down, Bulma questioned Mori curiously.

"Excuse me Lord Jin Mori?"

Mori looked at her and nodded his head allowing her to speak.

"I'm kind of curious why is time travelling forbidden by divine law? Is it because it end's up creating different timelines?"

Mori nodded his head as he spoke.

"Yes. So you were at the very least aware if that and still decided to do it anyway? Your lucky that because of Lord Beerus's lazy and slothful personality that caused so much harm to this timeline that your both not being sent to the afterlife."

Bulma chuckled nervously as Goku spoke up.

"Hey Jin Mori! If your the current God Of Destruction for this timeline, does that mean you killed the Lord Beerus of this timeline?"

Mori shook his head as he spoke.

"That lousy God died in his sleep when the Supreme Kai was killed in the fight against this timelines Babidi."

"What?!"

Mori looked at them all confused as he spoke.

"What's so surprising about this news? Surely the fact that you two can use God Ki means that either one of you are candidates to be the next God Of Destruction? And even as candidates, you should be made aware of the fact that God's Of Destruction and the Supreme Kai's of each universes share a life link? If either one dies, the other follows."

Witnessing their dumbfounded expressions, Mori was genuinely surprised. The silence was broken as Goku spoke.

"Hey Jin Mori. After witnessing that bolt of lightning you summoned, I can tell that your very powerful. Mind if we have a little spar?"

Seeing the excitement in Goku's eye's Mori shrugged as he responded.

"Very well then. However, after the fight is over the two of you will return to your timeline and destroy the time machine. Should either of you ever come back to this timeline without a proper reason, I wont be so merciful."

Goku laughed at Jin Mori's words as he responded.

"You got it!"

As the two walked away Bulma, Vegeta and Trunks watched from the sidelines. As both fighters faced each other, Goku got into his fighting stance whilst Mori stood still with his arms behind his back not taking Goku seriously.

"Before we begin, I will set up a barrier to prevent any damage from our spar causing any more destruction to the surroundings."

Goku looked surprised at Mori's words but still nodded his head in agreement. Mori snapped his fingers as a barrier enclosed around the two of them as Vegeta looked shocked and Goku muttered.

"Isn't this barrier similar to the one Whis makes?"

"That's right. He was my mentor for the past thirty three years of my life, as I began my tutelage under him at five years old."

"Oh wow! If you've trained under him for that long, I don't doubt your strong. But that doesnt mean I'll back down!"

Goku rushed Mori reaching him seemingly in the blink of an eye and threw a punch at his face as Mori calmly watched him. The only thought going through his mind was.

'Slow.'

Mori took one step backwards, and Goku's punch stopped in front of him by a hairs breadth as the wind pressure from his punch caused Mori's hair to flutter slightly. And then, in the next second Goku clutched his abdomen and fell to the ground coughing out spit shocking everyone watching.

"What happened?! All Jin Mori did was take a step back and Goku's already on the ground?!"

Trunk's exclaimed in shock. Even Vegeta and Bulma were the same. Mori stared Goku down calmly as he spoke.

"Already defeated?"

Goku grunted before a smile spread across his lips as he responded.

"Not yet! AHHHHHHHHHH!"

From his base form, Goku transformed into a super saiyan intriguing Mori slightly but that was all. Goku tried upper cutting Mori only to blink as Mori was gone.

"Kakarot! On your back!"

"Huh?"

Goku tilted his head only to see Jin Mori sitting on his back. A bead of sweat trickled down Goku's forehead as he didn't even feel Mori's weight on his back. Mori jumped off his back as Goku immeadiately sent a round house kick and he thought that Mori wouldn't be able to avoid his kick mid air.

"Gah!"

When his kick connected, it passed right through Mori as if it was all an illusion and then, Goku found himself crashing into the barrier as Jin Mori landed on the ground.

"Increadible."

That was all anyone of the spectators could say as they witnessed the one sided spar between the two of them. However, Jin Mori looked confused.

"Why do you not fight using your God transformation?"

Goku laughed as he replied.

"Hihihihi. It's cause I'm trying to gauge how much more powerful my opponent is to myself. After all, where would all the fun be if I fought every battle at one hundred percent?"

Mori shook his head as he responded.

"I can understand where your coming from, but sometimes, dragging out a fight would cause you more nuisances to deal with later on down the line. I have a lot of work to be done, so please do go all out."

Goku sighed dissapointed, but stil nodded his head as he stood up and took a deep breath before transforming into his Super Saiyan Blue form. The ground trembled beneath the might of Goku's ki as Mori nodded his head in approval.

"Truly, quite the massive power boost. But is this truly all you can do?"

Goku smirked as he answered.

"Not exactly. I do have a secret trump card, but I can't use it for too long or else I might kill myself."

Mori tilted his head as he spoke.

"A technique that places your body under immense stress I presume?"

Goku nodded his head as Mori spoke.

"If it's just that, then I can counter it's effects. So just go ahead and use it. Show me beyond one hundred percent of your strength."

Goku took a deep breath as he roared.

"KAIOKEN TIMES TEN!"

Instantly, Goku's entire physical attributes increased tenfold and his physique bulked up as well as he smiled in excitement before charging Jin Mori.

"*Sigh* Don't you ever learn?"

Goku charged directly towards Jin Mori, but when he was a few metres from striking him, he vanished appearing behind him as he tried to sweep Mori's legs.

(Boom!)

Only to once more find himself crashing into the barrier. The others watching from the outside couldnt help but watch in awe at how even in his Super Saiyan Blue Kaiyoken form, he still couldn't touch Jin Mori.

Goku stood up groaning as he took a deep breath.

"KAIOKEN TIMES TWENTY!"

Goku's muscles bulged even more as he grunted begining to feel the strain on his body. Goku suddenly felt the strain on his body lighten as he looked at Mori gratefully.

"That technique is one that belongs to a Kai am I right?"

Goku nodded his head as Mori looked intrigued.

"To think you could stack such a dangerous technique with your transformation. I must admit I am quite impressed."

Goku gave him a grin as he replied.

"This might be the highest I've ever gone with the Kaioken. Anymore, and I'm sure my body won't be able to handle the massive strain it'll be put under. Well then, are you ready? Cause here I come!"

Faster than anyone could react, Goku cratered the ground and vanished with not even Vegeta capable of tracking him with his eyes. Mori hummed in amusement, his eyes could still track Goku easily seeing him still moving slowly. But instead of tracking Goku with his eyes, he closed them with an amused smile as he spoke aloud.

"This match is over. You've had your fun, but it seems like Vegeta also want's a shot at me."

Goku rushed Jin Mori and as he appeared in front of Mori he threw a punch with all his strength. As his fist was an inch from striking Mori's face, it froze as Goku's transformation dissipated and he fell to the ground unconcious. And when he fell, Mori smiled as he spoke.

"That was fun. Vegeta, I take it your up next?"

Vegeta frowned as he questioned.

"How did you knock Kakarot unconcious?"

Mori smiled as he answered.

"When his fist was an inch away from my face, I struck both his kidney's, his liver, and chin all at once."

Vegeta looked sceptical as Mori deadpanned and gave a much simpler explanation.

"I hit him really, really, really hard."

Vegeta deadpanned, Trunk's sweatdropped, and Bulma giggled. Vegeta shook his head as he approached Mori and stood directly outside the barrier.

"Just come inside."

Vegeta nodded his head and walked inside of the barrier managing to enter without any resistance. Meanwhile Mori wrapped his tail around Goku's arm before flinging him out of the barrier before healing him causing Goku to awaken.

"Huh? I'm outside the barrier? Does this mean I lost?"

Both Bulma and Trunks nodded their heads as Goku looked excited instead of being discouraged.

"Man, he's really powerful. I dare say he might be even more powerful than Lord Berrus!"

Goku watched in anticipation as Vegeta stood before Mori.

"God Of Destruction or not, don't expect me to fight like Kakarot."

Jin Mori smiled as he replied.

"I'd be more surprised if you did."

Vegeta got into his fighting stance before he transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue state.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

He roared before charging Mori. But he didn't even get the chance to charge him any further when he coughed out spit as Mori's fist found itself lodged into Vegeta's abdomen. However, Vegeta gritted his teeth as he threw a punch at Mori's face only to find himself flying backwards as he heard Mori's voice.

"Hwechook."

Mori's leg was outstreched showing that he had used his martial art's technique against Vegeta.

(Boom!)

Vegeta crashed into the barrier, but stopped himself from falling to his knees as he rushed Mori. He threw hundreds of punches and kicks all of which failed to even touch Mori who dodged them all with extreme ease.

"Arang."

An elbow strike to Vegeta's solar plexus almost knocked the prince out. But through sheer force of will, he forced himself not to pass out and instead send a straight jab only for Mori to appear behind him shaking his wrist boredly before punching Vegeta's head into the ground.

(Boom!)

Mori's tail wrapped around Vegeta's leg lifting him up as Mori began raining down punches onto Vegeta causing his face to swell and blood to drip off his entire figure before he fired a ki blast at point blank range of Vegeta's stomach as his tail released him sending Vegeta flying and crashing into the barrier as a massive explosion was witnessed by the others.

Bulma, Trunks and Goku watched in surprise at how harshly Jin Mori was with Vegeta in comparison to when he fought against Goku as the smoke of the explosion cleared revealing a badly beaten Vegeta who miraculously is still maintaining his Super Saiyan Blue form.

"Why is he so harsh on Vegeta? Did he do something to offend him?"

Bulma questioned in worry as she witnessed her husband from a different timeline struggle to stand up. He was breathing heavily with his entire body littered with bruises and blood. He clenched his right arm as he glared at Mori who looked back at him indifferently as he spoke.

"Your about as strong as Goku. However, unlike him you don't have much of a trump card to aid you like his kaioken."

Vegeta looked irritated as he answered.

"I don't need a technique like that."

Mori sighed as he spoke.

"Mastering the Kaioken would be extremely helpful to one such as yourself. However, you are too prideful to use a technique that your rival uses as well."

Vegeta said nothing at Mori's comment, making him sigh as he spoke.

"Very well then. Do as you wish. I won't stop you from doing what you want, but this fight has shown me something interesting."

Vegeta was surprised as he questioned.

"And what might that be?"

Mori looked at the beaten up Vegeta calmly as he responded.

"That should the time come for the two of you to learn and master Ultra Instinct, Vegeta you would not be suitable for said technique."

Everyone looked confused as they muttered.

"Ultra Instinct?"

Mori nodded his head as he explained.

"Goku and Vegeta. Surely you must have noticed how when your sparring against Whis, you are incapable of touching him unless he choses to block your attack willingly?"

The two nodded their heads as Mori continued.

"The reason for that is because of a technique that all angels have a high degree of mastery over. It's called Ultra Instinct, and it basically allows them the ability to subconsciously move their bodies to attack and evade. However, such a technique better suites Goku then yourself Vegeta."

Vegeta looked insulted as he questioned.

"And why's that?"

Mori pointed to his head as he spoke.

"Vegeta. Ultra Instinct requires your heart and mind to remain calm at all moments. However, my fight against the two of you showed me that Goku is best suited to learning the technique because unlike him Vegeta you think too much."

Vegeta nodded his head in understanding as he questioned.

"I take it that the silver glow surrounding your body is this Ultra Instinct?"

Mori nodded his head and raised his palm as he explained.

"That's right. But don't let me using this technique fool you. It has a massive stamina toll, and is easily lost if your heart and mind doesn't remain in a state of tranquility at all times."

This time Trunks questioned.

"But wouldn't that be a massive disadvantage if the technique is so easy to be dismissed?"

Mori nodded as he replied.

"That's correct. That's why when training Ultra Instinct, you must learn to always keep your heart and mind in a state of calmness."

Goku looked confused as he questioned.

"Wait a minute. If all your saying is true, how come Whis is capable of sometimes looking annoyed, angry, and happy. Wouldn't that make his Ultra Instinct stop working?"

Mori nodded in understabding as he helpfully explained.

"Just because someone is happy, annoyed or angry doesn't mean that their hearts and mind will always be clouded by the other emotions. You could express genuine animosity against anyone, but that doesn't mean that your heart and mind can't still remain calm."

Goku looked enlightened as he responded.

"Oh! I think I get it now."

Mori snapped his fingers healing Vegeta as he spoke.

"Now then. Since there seems to be no more issues for the time being. The two of you will now return to your own timeline. And I do hope you two heed my warning of coming back to this timeline. Now that I'm here, I will take over as the next God Of Destruction and undo all the death and destruction that this timeline's universe seven has faced."

Vegeta nodded his head as he asked.

"I'm assuming you plan on using the Super Dragon Balls to fix all this damage?"

Mori looked rather surprised that Vegeta knew about the existence of the Super Dragon Ball's, but still nodded his head to confirm Vegeta's words. However, their conversation was cut short when an unknown voice spoke.

"If that's your plan, then I'm sorry to dissapoint you. But that won't be possible."

Everyone's gaze instantly fell onto the unknown voice as everyone came face to face with a purple-skinned male with red eyes and white hair with pointed ears. Mori was the first to speak.

"I'm surprised you were courages enough to show yourself before me again after interrupting my fight with Lord Beerus and sending me to this timeline."

The purple skinned young man raised his arms in surrender as he spoke.

"I'm terribly sorry for that. It's just that I couldn't bear watching the people of this timeline dying at the hands of Zamasu and Goku Black. And with the Destroyer Beerus dead, I had to find someone to replace him and beat both Zamasu's."

Mori exhaled and everyone shuddered. But Mori didnt do anything, and instead questioned the young man.

"Tell me who in the world are you and what did you mean that my plan to use the Super Dragon Balls won't work?"

The purple skinned individual bowed as he introduced himself.

"A pleasure to meet you. I am Fu. My only goal in life is to help others instead of causing meaningless destruction. And what did I mean by my words you may ask? Well, you can't use the Super Dragon Ball's because the Dragon has killed itself."

Everyone froze at Fu's words as Vegeta exclaimed.

"What do you mean the Dragon of the Super Dragon Balls has killed itself?!"

Fu smiled wryly as he responded.

"Exactly as I said. Zamasu used the Super Dragon Balls to grant himself true immortality. And then after another year, he used the Super Dragon Ball's to have the Dragon kill itself to prevent anyone from ever using it to stop him."

Mori closed his eyes allowing Fu's words to sink in before he opened them as he spoke.

"That is extremely unfortunate. However, as the saying of the God's Of Destruction goes. Before creation there is destruction. Even if the Super Dragon Balls are gone, that doesnt necessarily mean my job going further will be impossible. A lot more difficult no doubt, but I will ensure that the mortal level of this universe will increase to prevent the Omni King from erasing it."

Mori sighed before he addressed Fu.

"Fu was it? I will choose to believe in your words about the reason you brought me here. And I will forgive you for your actions. However, if it's at all possible I'd like you to bring my mom into this timeline. Her name is Ichigo and she is from the timeline you kidnapped me from.

Fu remained silent for several seconds as he gulped nervously and responded.

"Unfortunately, that won't be possible."

Mori raised an eyebrow in confusion as he questioned.

"Why not? You were able to bring me here, and surely my mom's power hasn't far surpassed mine that you can't even bring her here?"

Fu shook his head as he answered.

"The reason I can't bring your mother to this timeline Jin Mori, is because your mother Ichigo is already dead."

And with just that single sentence, the entire atmosphere changed instantly. And it was brief, but Jin Mori's silver glow fluctuated slightly before stabilising itself. The only thing Jin Mori managed to blurt out at the sudden revelation was.

"What?"
