17 First Day Of Work

(3rd Person Pov)

Sitting at a large marble table was Mori and Android 18 with Whis standing besides Mori who was rubbing his forehead in disbelief as he questioned Whis.

"Whis, this must be some kind of awful joke right? How does Universe Seven only have 28 Planets with mortal life?! Just how bad was Beerus and the late Supreme Kai at managing the universe?!"

Mori wasn't the only one shocked by Whis's revelation. Android 18 was just as shocked by what she heard as Mori was. How in the world were they going to increase the mortal level of universe seven with just 28 planets with life on them?

Mori frowned tapping his finger on the marble desk repeatedly before sighing as he spoke.

"I had assumed that the number of planets inhabited by mortal life were still in the ranges of several hundred at it's lowest point. At the very least then, we'd have a decent hand to start with."

Whis nodded his head as he kindly explained.

"Universe Seven once had planets numbering in the tens of thousands. However not only was this millions of year's ago, many planets had the unfortunate fate of being destroyed, devoured, colonised or just the mortal inhabitants going extinct with the passage of time."

Android 18 looked surprised by Whis's words as she questioned.

"There are creatures that can devour entire planets in this universe?"

Whis shook his head as he answered.

"Not so much devour entire planet's. More like the ability to devour an entire planet's vitality, and convert it into raw power."

Mori frowned hearing Whis's words as he questioned.

"And is the entity that possesses said ability still alive?"

Whis shook his head as he tapped his staff on the ground revealing a goat like figure chained up in a prison cell who looked like he had died of starvation with how skinny he looked. Whis then went on to explain.

"This is Moro. A powerful wizard who used his magical abilities to drain a planets life force and use it to grow stronger. However, 10 million years ago, the Grand Supreme Kai alongside the South Supreme Kai battled Moro after he destroyed the Iragi Star System and brought about the mass extinction of life on 320 planets. By giving up most of his godly power, Grand Supreme Kai was able to seal Moro's magic power, and together they were able to defeat and imprison him."

Mori's gaze watched the unmoving form of Moro before he nodded his head at Whis's explanation and spoke.

"Is there any more entities similar to Moro?"

Whis pondered for a bit more before answering.

"I wouldn't exactly say that this being is on par to Moro. It's name is Majin Buu."

Mori raised an eyebrow as he remembered a clip of a fat pink looking alien as he spoke.

"Sounds familiar. But do go on."

Whis seemed slightly surprised by Mori's answer, but nodded his head and continued.

"Majin Buu is a genie-like magical life form awoken by the evil warlock Bibidi that terrorized the universe millions of years ago. It one day appeared on the planet of the kaioshin and absorbed three of the four Kaioshin including the former Supreme Kai. Because of that, the only survivor ended up elevated to the position of Supreme Kai without any formal training. However, we needn't worry about Majin Buu as it is currently sealed."

Mori nodded his head as he spoke.

"Then if thats the case, as of right now, we prioritise the remaining planets in universe seven with mortal life and help them prosper. Once they've start flourishing with more life, we can move some willing inhabitants to another planet."

Android 18 hearing Mori's plan blinked in confusion as she questioned.

"So your plan is to interbreed creatures from various planets to form new hybrids of species life?"

Mori nodded his head as he spoke.

"As of right now, this plan is our best option to go with. It may take centuries or even millenias for this plan to really be feasible, but if nothing goes wrong, we should be able to see life flourish and prosper once more in Universe Seven. After all, you do not have the abilities of the Supreme Kaioshin to create new life, so this is the next best way to create new life."

Android 18 couldnt say anything to that. It was true she wasn't a Kaioshin nor did she have the ability to create new life. But knowing that he still chose her for the position of Supreme Kai must mean that he has some use for the infinite amount of Ki she possesses.

"And what about the consequences of potentially breeding different races without knowing the possibility of what negative side effects each race might bring to the other when having kids?"

Android 18 spoke pointing put the massive risk of breeding completely different species together.

Mori nodded his head understanding what Android 18 was getting at. However, he crossed his arms and replied.

"I'm sure Whis should be able to help deal with any abnormalities the hybrid children may face if this plan does go through. However, if we find a way to create our own set of Dragon Balls, then this first plan of ours can be scrapped without any issue."

Whis hummed as he spoke.

"My Lord, this vision you have for the future of universe seven could work, however. Miss 18 is still a mortal, and I dont believe her lifespan will be able to last for longer than two hundred years, and thats if she isnt one day killed in combat or assasinated."

Mori waved his hand as he spoke.

"That's quite alright. Two hundred years isn't something that will pass by her in the blink of an eye. It will be a long and arduous journey. And as for her possibly dying in combat or being assasinated, that is not an issue to worry about as you will train her to grow stronger to assure that she wont be useless."

Whis nodded his head, whilst Android 18 merely stayed quiet. Mori stood up from his seat as he spoke.

"Now that we have a general understanding of the current situation of universe seven, let's visit each of these planets and start improving their prosperity starting with Earth."

Finishing his words, Mori began walking out he paused in his steps before looking back at Whis as he spoke.

"Whis. Are you capable of ressurecting the dead?"

Whis blinked in surprise at Mori's words, but nodded his head and answered.

"So long as they werent killed by Demon's, I can indeed resurrect them."

"And is there a limit to the beings you can ressurect? Such as them being dead for a long period of time? Or having died more than once?"

Whis shook his head and answered.

"No. The only limitation I have is not being able to ressurect anyone who has died to the hands of a demon."

Mori grinned as he spoke.

"That's excellent. There's been a change of plans both of you. Whis, find the location of the dead namekians in the afterlife. We will resurrect them and use the Dragon Balls to fix this universe."

At Mori's words, Android 18 couldnt help but ask.

"And what happens if the Dragon Balls are unable to fix all the damage to the universe?"

"Then I'll have them teach me how to make my own set of dragon balls."

Whis hummed in understanding before he raised his sceptre and looked into the orb in search of the namekians in the afterlife.

"My Lord. I have found them. Two of them are on the North Kaioshin's planet alongside this timelines version of Goku and Vegeta."

"And the others?"

Whis looked up from his sceptre and answered.

"The rest are just relaxing in the heavenly realm."

Mori nodded his head as they all arrived outside of Beerus's castle and Whis spoke.

"Now then, as before, the two of you please hold onto me lest you wish to fall into the infinite void that is space."

Mori nodded his head as he placed his palm on Whis's left shoulder, with Android 18 placing her palm on Whis's right shoulder.

Whis tapped his staff on the ground twice, before a rainbow light engulfed them and all three dissapeared from Beerus's planet.

(Scene Break)

[Other World: Planet Of The North Kaioshin]

King Kai sat on a chair in front of his small abode. He was drinking some tea whilst watching several individuals sparring against one another. All of whom were his students. Having been training alongside each other for decades, they have all grown alot stronger than they've ever been.

And yet…

"Somethings not right… It's like this foreboding feeling thats creeping up my spine for some strange reason. Could it maybe have anything to do with that new destroyer that showed up out of nowhere?"

King Kai remembered how no more than a week ago, a massive quantity of God Ki just suddenly appeared in their timeline shocking him greatly. And as if that wasn't bad enough, this new God who was also apparently a saiyan! Had also lost control of himself and even required the interference of the Grand Minister himself! He nearly had a heart attack upon witnessing the Grand Minister appear in their universe.

"Hrrm… Something really, really doesnt feel right."

The Z fighters who had just finished their training for the day, took notice of the distress coming off of King Kai. They all looked at one another before Goku approached King Kai and called out to him.

"Hey King Kai."

But the Kai didn't seem to have heard him. Goku looked surprised, and so he stood next to the Kai and yelled in his ear.

"Hey King Kai!"

"AH!"

The Kai jumped from his seat spilling his tea on the ground as he angrily glared at Goku from behind his glasses and yelled.

"Goku you idiot! Why would you go and scream in my ear when I'm right in front of you?!"

Goku scratched the back of his head as he answered.

"But I did try calling you normally though. You didn't seem to hear me calling you, so I yelled to grab your attention. What's wrong? You looked extremly worried about something."

King Kai sighed as he replied.

"It's nothing Goku. I just had a bad omen, and got lost in thought over it."

The other Z fighters hearing the Kai's words looked confused. However, before anyone could ask anymore questions, a rainbow pillar of light descended upon the Kai's planet as three individuals appeared from the pillar. And yet of the three individuals, the one all the Z fighters recognised was the young woman Android 18.

They all immeadiately got into their combat stances preparing to fight against the android. But were stopped by King Kai who angrily yelled.

"STOP! STOP! YOU IDIOTS ARE GONNA GET US ALL KILLED!"

King Kai approached the group of three and kneeled respectfully towards them shocking all the Z fighters as he nervously spoke.

"W-Welcome Lord Destroyer and Lord Whis. T-T-To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Mori gazed at the kneeling Kai before he spoke.

"It's alright North Kai. You may raise your head. I came here to meet both the namekians under your care."

At Mori's words, King Kai looked at both Picollo and Dende with a gaze of acusation as if asking them what they did. The other Z fighters also looked at both Picollo and Dende who wore expressions of surprise.

Mori approached the Z fighters as he spoke.

"Calm down all of you. Firstly, let's get some introductions going. My name is Jin Mori. I am a Saiyan, and the temporary replacement for this timelines God Of Destruction. The two behind me are my assistants. My angel attendant and mentor Whis, and temporarily taking the position of the Supreme Kaioshin, Android 18."

"WHAT?!"

The scream surprisingly came from King Kai who gazed at Android 18 and spoke.

"B-But she's a mortal! The Kais have always been chosen from the Core race."

Mori's eyes gazed at the North Kai who realised what he had just done as he slammed his head into the ground begging for forgiveness. Mori shook his head as he spoke.

"I understand your concern North Kai. However, it would take far too long to wait until a new Supreme Kai is born, so I chose her to take over the role. With the infinite Ki generator she posses, she is useful to my endeavors."

King Kai said nothing but just nodded his head as Mori's gaze fell onto both Namekians who took a step back and gulped under his intense gaze as he spoke.

"Tell me, between the two of you namekians, who is capble of creating the Dragon Balls?"

The first to speak was Picollo.

"What do you want with the Dragon Balls?"

Mori looked at Piccolo and answered.

"To restore the universe."

Picollo didn't say anything for several seconds before someone else spoke.

"You said you were a saiyan correct?"

All eyes fell onto Vegeta as he walked towards Mori and continued.

"Considering the fact that I have no recollection of ever having met a Saiyan who's Ki I cant sense. I take it your from a different timeline?"

Mori nodded his head as he spoke.

"Unfortunately, that is as much as I am willing to answer right now. I came here for one reason, and one reason only. The namekians and the Dragon Balls."

Piccolo spoke up at Mori's words.

"Well unfortunately for you, neither Shenron, nor Porunga would have the power necessary to revitalise all the planets destroyed in the universe. "

"Then, teach me the way to create my own set of Dragon Balls."

Piccolo shook his head as he answered.

"Not possible. Only a dragon clan Namekian has the ability to create a set of Dragon Balls. No other race has been shown the ability to create their own set of dragon balls."

Mori raised an eyebrow at Piccolo's words as he replied.

"That's fine. I can simply wish to be able to create my own set of Dragon Balls. Now then, onto more serious matters. I take it that the young looking namekian is one of the Dragon Clan side of the Namekians you spoke of earlier?"

Piccolo stood infront of Dende protectively as he spoke.

"Unfortunately, due to being dead, the dragon balls cant be used. And thus meaning that theres nothing that can be done. Since your also not a Dragon Clan namekian, you also cant make your own dragon balls. I also dont trust you when you say you want to fix the universe. The Dragon Balls is a powerful tool that in the wrong hands would only bring harm and chaos. And the fact that you've given an authoritical seat to someone as evil as Android 18 makes me not trust a single thing you say."

Mori's gaze remained indifferent as he spoke.

"It doesn't matter what you think or feel. Trust me or dont wont change the fact that I'll be borrowing the young Namekian. And as for the namekian being dead. Whis, ressurect the young namekian."

Whis bowed as he answered.

"By your will milord."

Whis's sceptre glowed brightly as he pointed it at Dende's direction, and the halo floating above Dende's head dissapeared shocking everyone.

"Now then young namekian. If you'd be so kind as to follow us to summon the wish granting dragon."

Dende nodded his head and reluctantly walked forward only to be stopped by Piccolo. He looked up to Piccolo and shook his head and spoke.

"Piccolo. It's not wise to ignore what he's asking. He said it himself, he's a God. And King Kai's reaction more than confirms that. I would much prefer just listening to him than angering him. If he kills any of you, not even the Dragon Balls will be able to ressurect you all."

Piccolo's grip on Dende's shoulder became stronger before he sighed and allowed the young Namekian to walk towards Mori. When Dende stood next to Mori, he spoke.

"What is your name?"

Dendei looked into Mori's eyes before he answered.

"Dende. My name is Dende my Lord."

Mori nodded his head acknowledging the young Namekians name before he spoke.

"Then lets get going."

Mori turned around and approached Whis and Android 18 as King Kai sighed tiredly, but stood straight as Mori spoke.

"One more thing. And let this be my first and last warning to all of you."

Mori's intense gaze landed on everyone who tensed up as Mori continued.

"The next time you try stopping me more than once just because you dont like or trust me, then I wont hesitate to kill you off understood?"

Everyone remained silent, but nodded their heads. Mori looked to the North Kai and spoke.

"I shall take my leave now. Apologies if I had disrupted any plans you may have had."

King Kai looked unsure how to respond. But he managed to give a reply.

"I-It's alright. I didn't have anything really planned for today."

Mori nodded his head as Whis spoke.

"Where shall we head to my lord?"

Mori looked at Dende, who upon noticing Mori's gaze spoke.

"Planet Earth. At Kami's lookout."

Whis noddded his head and tapped his staff before all four individuals dissapeared in a pillar of rainbow light. Once they were all gone, King Kai slumped onto the ground looking very tired. However, when his gaze fell upon his students, especially Piccolo, he lost his cool as he yelled.

"Piccolo you idiot! Why in the world would you not listen to the request of the God Of Destruction! If he wanted to, he could have killed all of us without any consequences! Do go acting all high and mighty just because you've grown a little stronger!"

Piccolo watched the Kai nagging him with irritation as he answered.

"He wanted the Dragon Balls, and he was allied with Android 18. I dont think you couldnt see why I wanted to keep Dende as far away from him as possible."

King Kai hearing Piccolo's words sighed as he responded.

"Well, theres nothing you can do about it. He said it himself that he chose Android 18 for the position of the Supreme Kai. Thus by technicality, she has the second highest authority over everyone in the Universe."

This time the one who asked a question was Yamcha.

"Maybe Android 18 seduced him to get that position?"

Everyone deadpanned at Yamcha's words as Gohan responded.

"Unlikely."

At Gohans words, all eyes fell onto the one armed young man who gave his reasoning.

"If she had seduced him, she would have acted smug or even more arrogant than she was before. But instead, she looked resigned. As if she was given something because of an impossible decision she was faced with."

Gohans words sounded logical, however they were still curious about this Supreme Kai position that King Kai spoke of.

"Hey King Kai. Why does Android 18 holding the position of Supreme Kai make her the second most authoritive person in the universe?"

Krillin asked King Kai curiously. The Kai merely sighed as he responded.

"The position of the Supreme Kai is one of a creator God who uses their abilities to create new life. And if the Supreme Kai deems it necessary, they will inform their universes God Of Destruction that there is a planet that is stagnating, or that is deemed not maintaining their mortal level, and the Destroyer will destroy all life on the planet to allow the Supreme Kai to use the raw materials of said planet to help new life to flourish."

"It should be obvious that the android has no ability to create life. Perhaps its because of the infinite Ki generator she posses that could maybe aid him in some way."

Vegeta spoke voicing his own opinion.

"Regardless, lets simply hope that Jin Mori doesnt wish for anything bad. Or to bring harm to Dende."

Krillin spoke before looking at King Kai as he asked a question.

"Hey King Kai. Couldn't you spy on Jin Mori from here?"

"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! DONT EVEN DARE HAVE SUCH A THOUGHT! I DONT WANT TO ANGER HIM!"

Everyone was baffled at King Kai's words before they noticed King Kais antennas twitching as his face grew solemn and he spoke.

"Shenron has been ressurected and summoned."
