15 A Forced Ally

(3rd Person Pov)

Android 18 froze at Jin Mori's words as she questioned.

"May I ask for what reason do you ask me that?"

Foggy memories from his previous life played in his mind as he barely remembered a clip of the tournament of power that he had watched, and how one of the fighters was a young blonde woman who looked exactly the sane as the one befire him named Android 18. Mori sat upright as he spoke.

"After I had killed Goku Black, I asked Trunks and Bulma about the existence of the dragon balls to resurrect everyone he has killed. And they told me that the dragon balls are no longer available due to the fact that two Androids had killed off the entire species that were known to create the Dragon Balls in the first place way before Goku Black ever arrived."

Android 18 stayed silent for a bit before she spoke.

"And your suspecting me of being one of these androids."

Mori nodded his head as he spoke."

"That's right. Your lack of an actual name, and instead calling yourself number 18 sounds alot more logical to assume your an android then one of those forever eighteen girls."

Android 18's eye twitched in annoyance at Mori's words whose no doubt wearing an irritating smirk on his face. He coughed into his fist becoming more serious as he questioned.

"Anyways. Who was the other android, and what happened to them?"

Android 18 remained silent for a few seconds before she let out a fristrated sigh as she answered.

"His name was Android 17… He was my brother…. And he's dead. He was killed by Trunks."

Mori raised an eyebrow at her words as he questioned.

"I'll take a guess and assume that the reason you're still alive is because of android 17 sacrificing himself to allow you the chance to escape?"

Android 18 stayed silent for a few seconds before she nodded her head. Silence enveloped the room, before it was broken by Mori who spoke.

"I see. Then Android 18, I will give you two choices."

Mori's tone was cold as Android 18 shuddered and Mori continued.

"Either I destroy you now for all the lives you've taken. Or, I give you a second chance by having you help me improve the mortal level of universe seven."

Android 18 was shocked by Mori's words. And though she was frightened by the idea of dying, she remained calm enough to question Mori.

"Say I accept to help you improve the mortal level of universe seven, what exactly will I be doing?"

"You will be trained to grow stronger, and will also be entrusted with working alongside me as an assistant similar to the late Kaioshin's to maintain life in the universe."

Android 18 frowned listening to Mori's words. She really didn't want to work with a God Of Destruction, but at the same time, she didn't want to die. She asked him a different question hoping it could possibly help her to not work under him and maybe even keep her alive.

"What about Trunks? Surely he would make a far better assistant than me since he's obviously much stronger and much more heroic."

Mori nodded his head in agreement as he spoke.

"Though that maybe true, Trunks would most definitely not agree to the work because he has friends and family on this planet that he simply can't leave. He has attachments that would prevent him from willingly joining me. While you on the other hand, have no one. No friends or family, no attachments on this planet making you the better option. Especially when you consider the fact that you are currently the second strongest individual on this planet, with an endless quantity of Ki."

Hearing his words, Android 18 felt her anger rising but she wisely kept it to herself. She gritted her teeth before she exhaled and questioned.

"Is there truly no other way for me to stay alive without becoming your assistant?"

Mori shook his head as he replied.

"I don't think you understand Android 18. You have no other choices than what I've given you. Either perish or work alongside me to improve the mortal level of the universe."

"But why do you even need an assistant in the first place? Weren't you trained as God Of Destruction to manage the universe you rule over by yourself?"

"That's not entirely accurate. We God's are supposed to destroy uninhabited, barren or stagnating worlds to produce raw materials for the Kais to then use to cultivate new life forms. In addition, the Kais are meant to guide and advise mortal civilizations without interfering too heavily in their politics. While the Destroyers eliminate beings that threaten the viability of life in an entire galaxy or universe. And since the Kai's of Universe Seven are unfortunately dead, I will have you temporarily take over their role."

Android 18 was shocked by the information shared. However, she pointed out to Mori that she wasn't capable of creating new life forms like the Kais he mentioned.

"Of course you can't. What I'm asking of you is to help guide and maybe advise the mortals of universe seven. However, that's all you will be doing. And of course you will be trained and taught by Whis on how to properly guide, advise and remain as a neutral entity in any of the planet's political situations. Similar to the jobs of the Kaioshins."

Android 18 pondered over his words before she asked.

"And what do I get in return for doing the job of the Kais?"

Mori deadpanned as he responded.

"I wont kill you, and you get to grow stronger. Have you already forgotten that you only have two choices to choose from?"

Android 18 clicked her tounge hoping he had forgotten about his earlier words. After pondering over for several more minutes, she sighed and answered though very hesitant and reluctant.

"I… I choose to live. I accept to fill in the role of the Kaioshin temporarily."

Mori nodded his head as he responded.

"Then rest up and mentally prepare yourself. In one weeks time, we shall head over to Beerus's planet to officially begin our new roles and help improve the mortal level of this universe."

After Mori had finished speaking, he laid back on the ground and closed his eyes to try and get some rest. Meanwhile Android 18 silently watched him for a bit before she sighed and laid back on her couch her forearm covering her eyes as she contemplated the possible future consequences of the role forced upon her. As her eyelids began feeling more and more heavier, she couldn't help but call out to her late brother. Remembering how he sacrificed himself to trick Trunks and allow her escape.

"17…. Have I made the right decision by choosing to follow this God Of Destruction?"

(An: "RIP Akira Toriyama. Also, sorry it took so long. Was kinda stuck on what to do with 18. I've decided after deep contemplation that she will be taking over temporarily the role of the Kaioshin.

Also! I'm going to make a little edit in one if the previous chapters bcs i just learned that apparently future Zamasu killed all the Kais of the other universe thus making all the universes Godless.

This will all be explored later on though. And any questions asked, I'll answer to the best of my abilities.")
