Commander Has Touch Some Grass

And now his final paper has been finished. He slowly puts his writing pen on his desk and breathes.

*Breathes in*

*Breathes out*

"FINALLY I CAN TOUCH SOME GRASS FOR F*CK SAKE!"

As he was cleaning the office he got out and locked the door. He is carrying what looks like three pairs of pencils a sharpener, a ruler, and a sketchbook.

Having so much free time before, he had learned very much anything. This is the upside of doing something in your free time. And what he is doing now is his other hobby. Drawing.

He had several drawings on the book, but most of the contents are modern warships like the RF Pyotr Velikiy, USS Gerard F Ford, and the HMS Queen Elizabeth, THE CARRIER ELIZABETH not THE battleship Elizabeth.

Though Yamatomo is having a hard time picking the right spot to draw until he finds a hill with a Sakura tree on it. He knows he is trespassing into Sakura Empire's "borders" but is a must!

So he ran up to the top of the hill and as he got there, someone already got there.

That person has fox ears like most of the Sakura Empire ship girls do, but this one is lightish brown and wears a Kimono.

She then spots Yamatomo who spoke.

"Guess I'll draw somewhere else then. Sorry for disturbing you, lady."

"No wait. It's OK. You can sit here all you want." The fox girl said.

"Really? Well, let me just sit here if you don't mind."

As he sat on the grass, the social distance between them was six feet. He just sat northwest of her.

Well, not to waste time on chatting he starts to draw. Whatever he is drawing.

Not just 30 minutes after the fox lady who sitting there got curious so she got near Yamatomo and saw what he was drawing. Note that she didn't make a sound when she moved.

After she was in conversation distance she spoke.

"Can I ask what are you doing?"

"WHOE! JESUS!" he immediately closed his book and got startled. Crawling back 3 feet until he stopped as he got scared by that woman who had been sitting next to that tree half an hour ago.

"Oh, I'm sorry that I scared you." The fox girl apologizes to Yamatomo.

"Hoh, Jesus you scared me. I haven't had a good scare in my life. *Pant* How did you not a make sound while you tried to sneak up on me?" He asked her.

"Just a "special technique". I specialize in nature so every time I walk ground it doesn't make a sound, even if I step on a branch." She said.

"Well, you did scare me so I congratulate you for it. Also, wait." He then bangs his chest and coughs "OK, as for your question, I'm simply drawing because I have nothing else better to do."

"What are you drawing?" She asked.

"Well..." He then shows her the drawing "It's just a simple horizon drawing. Nothing too much about it." He then nervously chuckles.

"You have good hands to draw this accurately. I compliment." She said.

"Thanks." He then fixes himself and sits down where he is supposed to, now he sitting beside her not minding her watching him draw.

"Say, may ask your name? Other than shikikan?" The fox girl asked.

"Well, I have given everyone my name only Mazuhashi. But not my full name so what the hell. My name is Yamatomo Mazuhashi. But people call me just Yamato Mazu because it's a mouthful of a name but because they removed my "Mo" and "Hashi" they officially gave me a middle name called Mohashi." He said to her.

"How about you? What's your name?"

"Fufu~, My name is Amagi, a Battle Cruiser of the Sakura Empire." And thus his mind went.

"F***ck! Why did I ask her name?! My vibe has been ruined! F****ck! You're a tragic one! Now my motivation for drawing has been gone!" he internally screamed from inside.

He already knows the tragic backstory of this battle cruiser.

If anybody doesn't know the backstory. Here is a quick lesson.

Nature just said "f*ck you!" to her while in the process of building her by doing a little shakey shakey earth-style jutsu for some reason.

"Aye, I heard about you." "Yeah! F*cking great! Start off with that you stupid c*t!"

"Oh.."

"Well, that doesn't matter now. Just enjoy the time of life. Relax a bit. Remove all the negative stuff in your head. Think of relaxing stuff like taking a good solid nap. Just like you did a while ago. Relaxing next to a tree." (Yamatomo)

"What about you? What relaxing time do you like?" Amagi asked.

"Well while I'm drawing, I like to listen to the ASMR of the pencil drawing and the breeze flowing through the air. That's my relaxing time. Though I'm half city boy and half country bumpkin. So I can easily relax to any noise as long it isn't loud as an alarm siren."

"I have a weird Hobby, to be honest, but most people don't mind. I just wanted to enjoy." He then starts to continue drawing.

"Hey, Mazu-kun. I know you can accept most requests from us but can I ask you a request?" Amagi asked.

"Sure, what is it you want to request?"

"Can you make a drawing of me?"

Yamatomo is speechless.

"I don't see any complaints. Yes, sure. Just position yourself how you want and I will start drawing." He then stands up.

Amagi then picks a spot and then positions herself.

"This is good."

"OK then, hold still for half an hour or more maybe. Don't worry I will put this drawing to heart."

Amagi sweetly smiled "I'm ready as you are, Mazu-kun."

Time skip

"There." He then stands up and shows her the drawing.

"It ain't much but it's honest work."

Amagi is surprised yet happy with joy. Seeing such a perfect drawing.

"I like it." She said with a smile.

"Well I think it's getting la-" As he was about to finish a stray plane hit him in the right rib, and after that, it exploded on impact.

It wasn't a lethal explosion but it was enough to knock him back and fall down on the hill.

Amagi looked at who had summoned that plane and it was none other than Kaga.

"Get away from Onee-san!" She shouted with a growl.

"Kaga-san!" Amagi then calmed her down.

Meanwhile, Yamatomo had landed on the ground level.

"Fuck! *Cough* *Cough* *loud Cough* Shit! Hoh! Other than they successfully jump-cared me, they even managed to destroy my ribcage! Great! *More coughing*"

As he crawled on the ground and grunted in pain he then leans to a nearby street lamp.

"F- fu- misunderstanding..... misunderstanding everywhere!" As of now, he passed out.

Yeah having "strong physique". It's half true. False because it can be turned down by him, true because he can truck through rugby players like it was nothing but only he is in a "working situation" in order to trigger his strength.

And tomorrow morning he found himself in the base's hospital.

Yeah, he saw himself in a hospital bed. His chest literally bandaged up, and his head is also bandaged.

And then 30 minutes later Kaga then barged into the room and did a kowtow as she almost banged her head on the floor apologizing profusely.

It's kinda ironic that Yamatomo realized she used a Kamikaze plane on him.

Yeah a JAPANESE KAMIKAZE PLANE targeted a JAPANESE MAN because of a cliche misunderstanding.

Yup, he did touch some grass AND cement and dirt.

He isn't even mad, he is just vibing and relaxing.

After tomorrow he seemingly got back up on his legs and he is walking perfectly like nothing bad happened. But his bandaged head, right arm, and ribs are still visible.

Yeah, he is now given the name of "Tough Commander" by the ship girls. Because they knew that Kaga's Kamikaze plane attack could kill a person even if it was not "lethal".

What an eventful week for the commander.
