1 The beginning

"How many times do I need to tell you! I don't need or want a woman!" I yell slamming my hand on the desk. "Okay. I understand, but what about your son?" Dani asks. "What about him?" I ask. "He's only what? Two? He needs a babysitter. Dallas can't watch him because she's still thinking about what had happened through her head." he said. "Fine. If I say yes, will you leave me alone?" I ask. "Yes." he said. "Okay. Set something up."

I should start from the beginning. I'm Diablo King. The oldest out of four brothers and am a mafia leader. Six years ago, the most beautiful women came into my life and made me fall in love with her. Val. I thought that I would love her till the end, but she crossed the line when she hurt someone that was close to me.

At first, she was just Dallas babysitter and nothing to me. But when I fold out that she had saved my family, I felled in love with her. I found her family, married her, and had a son with her. And yet I thought what could go wrong. But years later, I soon regretted everything. Val had sold Dallas to the Spanish mafia. The people that killed my parents and the same people who messed up mia's life. After everything I've done for her, she ended up using me.

My family and I never saw that coming and Dallas was still hurt from what val had done.

"Dallas?" I ask opening her door. "Come in." she said. "how are you feeling?" I ask. "not so good. My sugar was low again." she said eating a candy bar. "oh. Well, I just came in here to tell you know that I'm going to find someone to watch dan." I speak. "more like john is." she said making me smile. "yeah, well I have to do work. Do you need anything?"

"yes. Two things." she said. "okay." I say listening. "I know that we've talked about it, but I'm old enough and I want to meet mom." she said. "as much as I hate it, I'll have john find her" I say. "Okay. Now the second. Don't get mad, but I set up a blind date for you."

Trying not to get mad, I close my eyes. Count to ten. Take a deep breathe in. Deep breathe out. Open my eyes. And see my beautiful angel sitting in front of me.

"fine. When and where?" I ask. "when, this Friday. Where, at the café we always go to. I think you'll remember her." she said. "and why would that be?" I ask. "you went to school with her." she said as dani calls. "we'll talk about this later." I say answering the call.

"you need to come to the dock. Now." he said. "okay. On my way." I speak. "don't worry about calling Diego. I already called him." he said. "okay. Well, like I said, I'm on my way." I say hanging up.

As soon as I get out of my car and onto the dock, I see what dani was talking about. The shipment that we got last month, was being pulled out of the water. The boxes that held guns, were busted, and half of my men were dead.

"what happened?" I ask. "I was on my way to the house, when one of the guys were saying that there was a war going on. When I got here, it was like this." dani said. "do you know who did it?" I ask. "Its personal." Diego said. "to whom?" I ask. "you."

The only person that I know that could have done this is vai. She has a mafia family. She had the help. She's getting back at me. But why? What she did was her fault. I just have to move the shipment into the house until I have a place to move them.

After I gave the order, dani tells me about the babysitter for dan.

"what is it?" I ask. "I set someone to come to the house Friday." he said. "at what time?" I ask. "6:30. You plan something to do?" he asks. "yeah. Dallas set up a blind date for me on that day. She said that I went to school with them." I say walking into my car. "Okay." he said. "and before I forget, I need you to find eve" I say. "Um, okay." he said. "Thanks. See you later."

From the things that I've been through, I really need a break.
