Chapter 3: Bugs

In this dead forest of a place there was no sounds except for Xian talking to his system but to anybody else it might seem like he was insane. The cold reality of the situation Xian was face with was the fact that he had to eat to survive and the only way he thought he could get power quickly was to eat tiny bugs ones that were much smaller than he. He thought this nature was akin to those bullies in his past life but what did he know.

To be fair things had changed and the wanted to live if not for the fact that he would have see that goddess again if he didn't. So he ate bugs for the first three days he was in Akimbo he ate bugs off the ground. Things like cockroaches and non poisonous spiders were a delicacy to Xian. He had no other food source and the only other monster he's seen was a Great Black wolf the size of at least 2 vans tall and It's teeth were something not to be scoffed at. So he kept eating bugs until he got ten biomass enough to get a few upgrades. He didn't learn any skills from the bugs except for Hide and it was only level 1.

"System what Mutations can I learn."

All of a sudden a long list of Mutations showed up they were only things that affected the body. the ones that drew his attention.

Wings - Level 1 - 5 Biomass

Dense muscles - level 1 - 1 biomass

Strong bones - Level 1 - 1 biomass

Tail - Level 1 - 3 biomass

Seeming as Xian had enough for all of them thankfully he didn't skimp on eating all of those bugs. He hit accept and then he felt 4 different stages of pain. first he felt his wings come out from his back it was like nothing he had ever felt. Maybe like being stabbed with a hot knife. Second he felt his spine start to grow and with it the nerves grew as well and that made him stop moving for a while. The third set of pain was a melting sensation all over his body. It was like falling into a lava pit. The fourth and final set was his bones. He felt them reinforce and fix any bumps or ridges on his bones that he might have had this one did not hurt nearly as much as the others.

He looked at himself in the pond where he was getting his water. It was very weird seeing himself with extremely vibrant red skin, a tail which looked pretty okay the wings though that's where the glory was they were something else. you could tell just how powerful they were just from looking I guess 5 biomass well spent.

Xian could feel how his body was reinforced it felt great the new sense of power flowing through him.
