chapter 1 the summon

(Athena lux was the name of our character, I was contemplating on another but this just came to me.)

I was practicing with my sword in the backyard of my house when I heard my mother call me.

"Sweetie can you help me move this please," she asked.

I walked over there and helped my mother carry the furniture to another room. I then looked at the clock and noticed that she only had thirty minutes before classes started.

I quickly grabbed my backpack and phone before heading to school. I arrived at the entrance and put my belongings into a cub so they could check it.

the metal detector didn't make a sound as I passed through so I grabbed my backpack and left.

I arrived at my first period, which also happens to be the most boring. math.

I zoned out and looked out the window. I watched as the cars drove by I would count the pigeons that landed on the electricity wire.

suddenly around our feet, a spell-looking thing appeared under our feet, while everyone was yelling or screaming their heads off I was sitting down drinking dr pepper. I figured if we were to die there was nothing she could do about it.

contrary to her belief her classmates and teacher were transported to a white room. they stopped running with their head cut off and looked at the woman who sat in front of them.

she was certainly beautiful however she didn't care about stuff like that. the guys in her class looked like drooling messes, while the girls looked jealous. the woman in question just looked at the class in front of her.

"Today I have summoned you to be heroes. you will be going to a different world to help the citizens of that world," she began. "the world is very different from your current world, there are many different races and there are many powerful people who can wipe you out.

today the gods have decided to give you each one superpower, however, the abilities will be limited to how far you are willing to take them. now make a single file line so you can make your wishes."

many of the boys rushed forward and so did a lot of the females. however, some stayed back and I was included In those few. most people wished for generic wishes like super strength or being able to cast magic.

when the other students and our teacher made the wishes that they wanted it was finally my turn. I was thinking long and hard about what I wanted before I finally thought of something.

I walked up and looked at the goddess before saying, "I want to be able to control and manipulate vectors with being able to summon any kind of food or drink."

"that's two wishes," she said.

"nuh-uh that was two wishes being used into one therefore it was still one wish," I said.

the goddess looked at me for a couple of seconds before stating, "well played. may I know your name?"

"Athena," I said. "Athena lux."

"congratulations Athena for adding the first rule in the wishes," she said as she wrote something on a paper.

the class was complaining about how the wishes were unfair to them, while I didn't care. I sat back down in my seat and drank my dr pepper.

"in about thirty seconds you will find yourself inside a castle that belongs to the king. I would say be careful however from what I see about most of you, it would only backfire. so good luck," she said with a wave of her hand.

I felt my vision go white and my feet leave the ground before I felt my feet land back on the ground again. I blinked and looked around only to find myself in a luxury room filled with my classroom.'

I could feel the vectors surrounding me, I looked over at my classmates still struggling on the floor. I looked at the people in front of me and saw a king and what I would assume would be a princess.

"Welcome dear guest to our beloved Knoxville," the guy with the crown said.

"ugh, where are we," I heard my teacher say.

"you are our guest in Knoxville," the king said. "you are here to help fight against the evil demon queen that has been plaguing our towns for centuries."

the kids with a hero complex immediately agreed, however, I knew there was something different going on. I have seen way too many isekai novels to know that there was something fishy going on with this place and I wanted out of this place.

"We can't send kids to fight a war," my teacher said.

"do not worry they will be trained and will receive the proper training," the king said.

"yes we could defeat this so call demon queen or whatever they call her," josh the jock said.

I rolled my eyes these guys had no idea what they were getting into. I knew that she was going to be extremely strong and will most likely kill all the people here.

while these people were going to get training for simple stuff I wanted to explore this new word. I have already trained in martial arts. I had weapon proficiency and I also knew how to create the essentials.

"what if I want to leave," I asked.

"why would you want to leave. we can train you feed you and shelter you," the princess said, although none of the others caught it I did. she revealed a little bloodlust behind that smile of hers.

"yeah no offense I don't need training, just give me some money to last me for a year and I will be on my way," I said.

"yeah let that loner be by herself," I heard one of the people say.

"well if you insist to go by yourself then I can't stop you," said the princess sweetly.

yeah my interaction with her is never going to happen, I will make sure of that.

"Just give me a sword and money and I will be fine," I said.

"then let us explain your classes at least, there are many classes ranging from (hero, assassin, mage, archer, healer, and the "weakest necromancer.")

I looked at my class that showed [necromancer]. I mean it could have been worse, I could have gotten mage. that wouldn't have helped at all.

she looked at the skills and they looked pretty good to her. She didn't know why people called it the weakest class when all she had to do was find strong enemies and have them as soldiers and she will be overpowered.

however, she didn't say anything about this skill as she was leaving this place anyways. She had planned it all out, take the money and explore the other regions.

she was tempted to head to the land that held demi-humans so she could see if she could snuggle into their tails.

"Alright now that we got that out the way can we please get my money and sword so I can leave," I said getting impatient.

"look the loser got the weakest class and she was a loser in this world too," Josh said.

"tough talk for the guy who had half the football and all the soccer players inside him," I said.

the class looked at him in shock. especially the boys, never would they imagine that he would be actively engaging in that kind of affair, especially when he has a girlfriend.

the knights finally came in with a bag of money and a sword. I walked up and grabbed both. the bag was filled with what looked like 50 platinum and a sword that came with them.

I nodded my head when looking at them. they looked in good condition so I attached the sword to its hilt and walked out the door.

I summoned a Dr pepper and made my way out of the city. I looked around and found the air full of life, whether it was the trees or the grass. they all smelled rich of life.

she headed in a random direction while developing her vector manipulation. she first created a barrier that would reflect any attacks.

now she looked at a small city in front of her and headed towards it. she approached and looked around, it was nice enough. she looked around the city and found a slave trader, she was also tempted to kill him then and there but decided against it.

she entered his little shop, she was surprised to find it full of herbs that can be used for healing. she approached the desk and looked at the man.

"what type of slave would you like to buy, or do you have a preference," he asked in a monotone as if he spoke this line thousands of times.

"fox woman preferably between the ages 18-26, or wolf woman between 18-26," I said.

She could have taken this place to herself but she wanted a companion that would stab her in the back, like the princess.

He went out back and picked a girl with my qualifications. I looked around the room and found a chair, so she sat on it.

he came out with a girl that met her qualifications to a T. she was in-between 17 and 26, she was a wolf girl and she was cute.

"she's the only one that fits your requirements," he said.

"perfect how much will it be," I asked.

"fifty copper," he replied.

I gave him one platinum and waited for him to give me my change back. he looked shocked before looking at the girl next to me.

"your lucky it was somebody wealthy who took you," he said before turning around to get my change.

(a platinum coin is 10 gold and 1 gold is 10 silver and 1 silver is 100 copper)

he came back with 9 gold, 9 silver, and 50 copper. I took my change happily before looking to find an inn. I noticed that I could read the language of this world pretty easily so I didn't have to ask ... I never asked her name.

"So may I know your name," I asked?

"Nero," she said quietly.

"alright Nero comes on, we're sleeping in a hotel," I said.

she didn't move so I grabbed her hand and pulled her inside the inn that I found. the woman looked at us before looking at the mark on her chest.

"I would like a room for two," I said.

"ten copper," she said.

I gave her the copper and she gave me a key. I took it and went up the stairs to find our room. at least the room number was acceptable, room number 69.

we entered the room and noticed that it was in good shape. "sadly" it only had one bed. I looked over at Nero and saw her standing there... menacingly.

"come on let's sleep we will have a busy day ahead of us," I said.

I went to the bed, I looked over at Nero going to sleep on the floor. I quickly put an end to that, I made her sleep with me on the bed.

I saw this as a win-win situation. I sleep with a wolf girl and she doesn't sleep on the floor. plus I got the better end of the deal because I felt her tail wrap around me protectively.

I put my face in her chest and slept the night out. I had dreams about the supposed demon queen. she was extremely beautiful but that wasn't what got her to stare, no it was the two horns on her head. however, before she could think about them she felt something kick her out. she awoke still in between the breast of Nero. she didn't have a problem with it so she went back to sleep.

just like that day one of my many journeys was at an end.
