70 - Auction 2

Victor's attention was also taken by his food but he still payed attention to the auction.

It was at this time the next item was displayed a small skinny purple and pink dagger.

[Purple Poison Dagger] (Iron Quality: Superior)

'It's enchanted.' Victor couldn't help but take a second look at the daggers information.

Iron level equipment having a enchantment is super rare as it's really not worth enchanting one.

So almost all iron gear with a enchantment are usually not crafted or man made, so seeing one was quite surprising.

As for getting a new enchanter to enchant your iron gear but... It completely wasn't worth it as not only was it expensive but all of the enchantments that you can get are just terrible...

So most people just waited until they got higher tired equipment that suited them, this was the same case even for rich kids.

But there was a exception like right now, when an excellent item is being sold.

So when everyone saw this dagger everyone thought it was worth purchasing, so the price grew rapidly from 6,000 Gold to 8,200 in just a few breaths.

And even then it still didn't stop as the price continued to increase but Victor noticed that none of the private rooms bided.

"Oh? A enchanted dagger.." the commotion caught Violet's attention, making her look away from her food.

"And it's not even a bad enchantment, Paralysis is usable for any class, not to mention it's a pretty useful one that's perfect for assassins. Hmm if this is the second auction item then there should be some good stuff this time." Violet said as she thought outloud but she still didn't care that much so she went back to her sweet treat.

Victor next to her absorbed this knowledge in thought though as he started to think about something.

He thought originally that it might be worth getting this dagger for himself as he personally doesn't have any close combat skills, so being able to paralyze an enemy with a quick attack would have a huge effect.

"If you want it get it but I would advise against it, as even though you've been trained in close combat you are now a mage so you need to start fighting like one. And yes I know it's hard but I can tell you after some time it'll be easier." Violet said looking out of the corner of her eye at Victor before closing her eyes and letting out a light sigh.

She knew exactly what was going through his mind after all she was once in the same spot with the same worries and helplessness.

It was her sister that taught her and helped her realise that all that previous hard work and training wasn't useless but the foundation for her growth.

Unfortunately she wasn't as skilled as her elder sister and didn't know how to help Victor after all even though she learned close combat as a kid as well.

It wasn't to the same level as Victor that combined with Victor's emotion problem made it even harder on him.

But what's worse is that even though his class is legendary there's no information about it, and it's of the death attribute that no one has ever advanced to tier 1 with.

So she truly doesn't know what to say over then this...

Victor looked down thinking about her words trying to found a answer to a unknown question.

"How do I fight as a mage?" Victor asked her wanting to know.

"Well there's many ways for a mage to fight, you could use powerful destructive spells to decimate your enemies, you could weaken them, curse them... There's as many was to fight as a mage as there are spells... And Only you can decide which path you'll take." Violet said with a deep gaze in her eyes as if she was looking into the past.

"A-anyway it's too early for you to think about this yet, wait until you've reach Tier 1 as that's when you truly have to decide..." Violet smiled awkwardly while scratching her head as she realised she's said to much.

Victor said nothing as he thought on her words, in deep thought Victor went over her words and decided that he'll have to create a whole new fighting style.

The auction continued while Victor was thinking of all the different fighting methods he's either trained in or seen.

All sorts of pieces of armour and weapons were sold, the huge variety of equipment was truly amazing.

It was at this time he was brought out of his thoughts by Michael next to him.

"Look at that sword!" Michael's suprised voice spread in the room.

Michael's gaze was locked directly onto the image of the one handed black longsword.

[Obsidian Steel Longsword] (Iron Quality: Excellent)

- Weapon Type: Sword -

- Weight: Light -

- Element: Darkness -

- Mana Conductability: 16% -

- Passive: Darkness Attack Bonus + 5% -

- Enchantment: None -

[Restrictions: Dark Classes ]

Victor immediately understood why Michael was so excited after all this was one of the best weapons he could wield right now.

Michael turned straight to Violet in excitement as he asked.

"Can I get it?" Michael asked also like a puppy that had seen a giant bone.

"Sure, I've already told you guys that you can get whatever you want." Violet said with her proud face slightly turned up before she took a sip of her pink vine.

"Thank you bid sister." Michael went straight in for a hug only to be pushed back by her hand.

"Sit down and behave or I'll take back what I just said." Her face darkened as she reprimanded him.

Immediately Michael sat down and behaved.

On the other hand the rest of the audience wasn't as excited, as there wasn't many dark attributed classes in the crowd.

So even though this was the best weapon so far in the auction it was far to limiting in restriction.

To the point that the crowd was quite disappointed.

"What a waste of Obsidian Steel, this much could have made a good quality silver or gold weapon." The crowd started to talk amongst themselves.

"The starting bid will begin at 7,000 gold..." Rose said ignoring the crowd's complaints as she knew there were a few people that would definitely want this sword.

In fact the first half of the auction has quite a few items of such type on purpose.

And she was right as immediately there were bids.

"7,100.."

7,300.."

7,800.."

The price grew rapidly in a back and forth between three people.

Michael watched on as the price grew, he would have bided already if it wasn't for Victor stopping him.

"9,300.." Finally the bids started to slow down as it drew closer to its market value.

Seeing this Victor finally bided.

"12,000 Gold from Room 3, is there any more bids?" Silence spread for a few seconds as Victor's bid set in.

"Oh! 12,100 Gold from booth 8, does anyone else want to bid!" Rose said trying to squeeze every single coin she could.

Which worked in her eyes as another magical projection appeared on Room 3.

"15,000 Gold!" Her eyes almost changed into money signs at the high price, a full 6,000 over market value.

"15,000 ladies and gentlemen, is there anyone else? If not this lovely longsword will go too Room 3! ... Well then congratulations to Room 3 for obtaining this beautiful sword!" Rose attempted to get someone to bid again but the price was already to high.

As soon as these words left her mouth Michael was jumping up and down in joy.

"So do we have to pick it up now?" Michael asked while rubbing his hands much like a fly.

"No we're going to wait for the end of the auction." Violet said not minding his weird position.

"As we've seen so many weapons so far let's switch it up!" Rose put her left arm udder her assets and held her right shoulder, her right hand playfully held her chin and bottom lip, she then winked at the crowd.

With her wing many in the audience had their eye's change as hearts appeared in them.

Michael wasn't a exception as his eyes also changed as he became hypnotized, but he was quickly brought out of it as Violet snapped her fingers breaking the spell.

"You really need to work on you mental strength." Violet shook her head as in her mind Michael should have impressive mental fortitude from the years of intensive training.

Victor on the other hand should've been more acceptable to mental magic in her eyes especially after what her father told her.

Her eyes couldn't help but narrow in thought.

'I'll need to inform father of this..' Violet made a mental note to tell him later as for now she wouldn't worry about it.

The next item completely caught Victor's attention while at the same time Michael lost his interest.

As this next item was a white and light blue spell book with a frosty air around it.
