40 - Combat Exam 7

"Dammit ." Michael's annoyed voice spread as he grabbed his shield off the ground.

Michael was wondering why he hadn't come across a Mini Boss yet, and now he knew why.

It wasn't a scream of pain or anger, no it was a call for help and what came to help wasn't a group of Horned Rabbits.

[ *Double Boss* Twin Horned Rabbit (Rare) - Lvl 15 ]

No, it was a second boss that entered the boss room, what was even worse was that it has the same as the last.

Knowing that if both attacked him at the same time he would lose, Michael didn't even hesitate.

He ran forwards towards the injured boss but he kept his attention on the new Boss.

And just as expected the new Boss attacked trying to stop him, but this made Michael smirk.

{ Throw }

As he threw the dagger in his hand out, which caught the male rabbit off guard, allowing the dagger to stab straight into it's right eye.

Not missing this chance Michael changed his target as he unsheathed his sword and dropping his shield to increase his speed.

Like a demon Michael appeared in front of the new Boss, with a glow in his eye Michael raised his sword ready to cut down the boss in front of him.

{ Death Slash }

Mana flowed from his hand into his sword shown by a black shadow, the black shadow covered the blade of the sword giving it a slightly dangerous arua.

Using its now large blind spot Michael attacked, in one swift slash the blade cut into the rabbit's hide.

Michael's eyes narrowed at the lack of sharpness of his sword, so he gritted his teeth and cut down with more technique.

The change of cutting angle made a huge difference as the blade cut cleanly through the rabbits neck.

[ *Twin Boss* Twin Horned Rabbit (Lvl 15) Killed + 650 XP]

Michael stepped on the cut off head boss before pulling his dagger out and wiping the Blood Off and putting it away.

While feeling his sore arms get better as he absorbed a soft black mist from the dead boss, through the use of his passive class skill Death Drain.

Violet's gaze was narrowed in thought since she saw the black mana that covered Michael's sword, but she let it go and refocused on Michael.

"Your buddy is dead, so let's get this over and done with." Michael turned to the last boss who was struggling to stand on its injured leg.

Unbothered Michael walk over to his shield and picked it up, but quickly took a large step to the left as something flew past him.

Michael dodged the bosses sneak attack while slashing along its body before the boss crashed into the ground, rapidly losing strength as it bled out.

"Sigh, you couldn't wait ten seconds." Michael shook his head before finishing the poor thing.

"Sigh, a skill book just why couldn't it have been a class skill book, you know what it doesn't matter." Michael lighty complained.

The reason why was because most skills that could be learnt for warrior type classes from skills books were... Well let's just say lackluster if we're being honest.

This is because what you learn is base abilities like Block, Slash, Parry, stab and so on. If you want something cool or powerful like Blazing Blade, Shield Wall or Ultimate Block.

Then you need to practice the base skills to improve them or combine different skills together.

Which takes a lot of work and effort to achieve, it's basically the same as how magic users need to learn about magic and the spells before using them.

That's why most Warriors class holders stick to their class abilities, as it's just quicker to master and get results.

For this reason after getting all your basic abilities, Warriors don't really use normal skill books anymore as the chance to get a good skill while in Tier 0 is just abysmal.

Of course there are amazing skills that you can get or the potential to evolve your current skills but considering the prince of a skill book above Tier 1... Yeah not many people can afford it to get every skill.

At the same time Battle Arts are like high Tier Magic for Warrior type Classes, as they allow you to learn/use some of the strongest techniques or fighting arts and combine them with your skills.

But not caring to much Michael decided to save it for Victor, as currently he had a pretty good skill arsenal at his disposal.

"Now let's get to the next dungeon after all, I can't rest now." Michael made his way through the portal that appeared, existing the dungeon.

"Now which dungeon should I do now? There's the Earth Lizard Cave, Wolf's Field, Slime Forest and Wild Boar Territory.

Oh and Victor did mention a area full of monsters around here..." Michael tried to remember all of the dungeons Victor had told him about on the buss.

"Let's go for the lizards as it'll be good to train against different monsters." Michael checked which direction he had to travel in before leaving, while of course eating.

Violet seeing that Michael was on the move turned to the principal and asked for him to put Victor up on the screen for her.

"Oh, yes no issue, I'll get the sorted for you now." The Principal smiled as he asked a teacher to keep both Michael and Victor on the screen for her.

Which upon changing everyone was actually greatly suprised as instead of finding Victor fighting they found him... Well relaxing.

Victor was slowly moving in the direction of the Slime Forest Dungeon, the reason why he was moving slowly was because he would clear out all the weak Monsters in each area before moving on.

So right now he was resting and recovering his mana while controlling his weak skeletons to bring over monsters.

But to on lookers Victor was just laying down in the grass taking a nap, as he was protected by a wolf skeleton and a skeleton that was constantly slashing a black dagger.

"What is he doing?"

"He can't be having a nap at a time Like this right?" They were originally expecting something exciting like Michael's battles.

Violet on the other hand was lost in distance memories from a long time age, upon seeing Victor laying in the cool green grass.

The principal couldn't help but compare Michael and Victor, where's Michael was fighting challenging monsters by himself.

Victor was sleeping..? Through everyone did become interested in Victor's Summons.

As they've never seen or heard of anyone summoning or controlling undead before.

"Undead? He can control undead?" The Principal couldn't help but say.

"Aren't undead of of the weakest Monsters? Doesn't that mean..." He stopped his line of thought remembering that Violet was sitting next to him.

"Yes but your forgetting one thing, we know next to nothing about Undead, we don't even know how they work, so who's to say they're all weak?" Violet said making everyone agree with her but they still remained unsure.

Violet on the other hand couldn't help but think back to Victor's Familiar and it's infinite possibilities and the potential it could reach in the future.

Feeling his mana fully recover, Victor got up right in time for the next group of monsters.

Raising his new staff in preparation too kill a Wild Boar that was accidentally drawn over.

{ Bone Fang }

A dot of black mana appeared above his staff before it began to grow larger before stopping when it reached the size of a fist.

[ Wild Boar (Elite) - Lvl 14 ]

"Pew!" The Darkness Bullet shoot out heading straight for the unaware Boar.

It hit the boar on the side of its body, making it squeal in pain as it's hide was corroded.

Before the boar could recover a sharp object stabbed straight into the same spot the Darkness Bullet hit, stabbing right through the weakened defence of the Boat and into it's heart killing it.

{ Darkness Bullet }

[ Wild Boar (Lvl 14) Killed + 300 XP ]

Having killed the only real threat too his Summons, Victor allowed his summons to fight the remaining monsters.

Seeing Victor Easy take out a tough enermy with just two spells supprised them, as they thought he was a summoner.

Victor turned to his Familiar that was standing in a certain stance as it kept slashing the dagger like a sword.

Victor had the thought that if his Familiar could learn skills, then he might be able to train it to acquire a skill.

In a way this was a test too see how long and hard it is for it to learn a skill or even if it could.

So when there wasn't any monsters to fight he ordered it to just keep slashing in this stance.

As his familiar was the only summon that could grow through battle and training, Victor let it finish off and monster his weak skeletons were fighting, while at the same time fight monsters by itself.

And so far it has grown in strength through this method.

But his familiar wasn't the only one training as Victor did his best to understand his skills and advance them.
