7 New Character Devi

********************************************************************************************************

Devi sprinted through the forest, his legs pumping furiously as he weaved between the towering mutant trees. With each stride, he leaped onto a nearby trunk, using its gnarled branches to propel himself higher into the canopy. He flipped and twisted through the air, his body a blur of motion as he navigated the treacherous terrain. Despite the obstacles, Devi maintained a speed of 5 m/s, his determination pushing him ever forward.

His technique was just so good that it was as if he raced on a plane surface.

"Devi..… Do you read me?..... Mayday….. Are you in the required location…" The General said from a communicator, but there didn't seem to be any response.

"Sir, I read you loud and clear…" Devi replied as he was running.

"Secure the packages…. I repeat…. Secure the packages….. They are the only lead we have on the new breeds…." The General ordered.

"Affirmative Sir….. On the job….." Devi said through the transducer in his ear.

At the moment he was in another dimension. This plane's atmosphere was similar to Earth, so there was no need for an oxygen tank or space suit.

Devi was already at the Combat Intensifier stage.

"Devi! Get to the command station in five minutes... If not, you will be surrounded by the Flesh eaters….." The General ordered from the Earth Command Center.

Every movement Devi made was clearly shown on the visual display,

"Hear you loud and clear, General …." Devi replied. He quickened his movements on the mutant trees. He fluently danced on the treetops, as he accelerated.

With a final burst of energy, Devi propelled himself upwards with a quick flip, soaring through the air towards the Command Center's wall. He extended his legs, using them to absorb the impact as he landed gracefully on the wall, ten meters away from the mutant tree. He paused for a moment, to catch his breath and surveying his surroundings.

Looking from the high city borders, he could identify the bodies of soldiers, Doctors, and other individuals, who were all dead.

Devi's heart sank as he surveyed the wreckage below him. "Shit!" he muttered under his breath. "No one made it."

"Okay," the General's voice crackled in his ear. "We'll send you the perimeter details. Follow the directions carefully to reach the facility."

Devi nodded grimly, his mind already racing as he prepared to embark on the dangerous mission ahead. "Copy that, General," he replied, his voice steady despite the weight of the situation.

"Yes sir…..", He replied. A few seconds later, the map arrived.

"I Have seen the map, sir…. Now reporting for duty…. Scanning the perimeters…. No sign of flesh eaters….. I'm about to fall into the building… in 1….2….3….."

In a jiffy, he dived straight into the facility's courtyard, at full speed.

Getting closer to the ground, he made an acrobatic flip, landing on the ground with a swat. He continued his journey, looking from left to right, all around him were dead bodies which were all littered around.

Devi grimaced at the gruesome scene before him. Bodies lay scattered about, some missing limbs, others with crushed skulls. It was a pitiful sight.

It was an awful scene to behold. He ran as he stared at the building he was about to enter.

The building was like a hundred-story building. It looks vague of life.

He checked his watch, he had three minutes left for the flesh-eaters to attack.

"I got to spend my time wisely," he said to himself

He entered the building, inside the building was a spacious reception hall.

He rushed straight to where the staircase was.

The funny part of everything was; how the power outage managed to survive the disaster.

He didn't take the elevator, of course, it could lead to a dead end. All of a sudden, his quantum watch started sounding an alarm…

"Multiple flesh eaters seen on the radar," His AI said out loud.

"Damn it!" Devi growled, frustration evident in his voice. "I thought the area was clear. Now I'll have to take care of those freaky monsters before I can retrieve the package."

"God's Eye! How many are we talking about" he asked his AI?

"A lot! An estimated amount of two hundred! Or even … more" God's Eye responded.

"Sir….. The flesh eaters have surrounded me…. I think it was a trap…." Devi reported to the headquarters through his transducer.

At the Command Center, the radar showed tiny red lights, gradually approaching a blue light; Devi.

"SHIT! It was a fucking trap. I doubt that the mission would be a success. They're fucking too much. MT (Monster Trackers)! What was your fucking job!

You were to provide feedback on the monsters! Now what is this!" The General shouted.

"Sir, we checked the surroundings, and there aren't any signs of them." The MT team responded as their hands were moving rapidly as they typed in codes trying to launch an attack on the monsters.

"Now, fucking do anything possible to get rid of those monsters," He said,

"Yes! Sir" they all responded.

"Sir…. Something is wrong with the MD missile machines, they are not connecting" An MT member informed, as he tapped his holographic keyboard, however still no response.

"Sir, me too…." Another added,

"Sir, we're losing control.....".

"Sir, all the systems are not connecting"

"What the fuck are you all talking about? An agent is there! We can't lose him?" The General roared out.

He slammed his fists onto the desk, shattering it into pieces. His overwhelming aura filled the room, spreading like a dark cloud, making everyone feel uneasy."

"Devi…....." The General called out.

"Yes sir…." Responded Devi.

"Stand down… and report to headquarters… the mission is aborted… I can't lose an agent as good as you are....." the general commanded Devi.

"But…. Sir…. Lives depend on this mission…" He argued.

"There is no room for buts….. It's an order….. ABORT! REPORT TO THE HEADQUARTERS THROUGH YOUR TELEPORTATION DEVICE!" The General shouted,

"I'm sorry Sir, but I will have to disobey….." Devi removed his quantum teleportation tracker. He wanted to refrain them from having access to automatically bring him back.

Now, he can only go back home to his volition.

The General quickly tapped the Auto Quantum Teleporter, but it didn't work,

"No, Devi! you're making the wrong decision… COME BACK! We will still complete the mission, but we would foremost make certain preparations….. Devi!… Don't do this on your own!.....", The General tried advising Devi.

"Sorry….. Sir…. However, I have made my decision" Devi concluded.

All of a sudden, the power outage in the hall was cut off, immediately Devi was surprised, he tried communicating on his transducer,

"Mayday…Mayday… Command center….. Do you read me….." it was quite unfortunate that there wasn't any feedback from the headquarters.

Back at the headquarters, they lost visual and audio from Devi

"Hey! You guys fucking do everything to get a visual or an audio? Devi is an important asset, we can't lose him, make sure he comes out alive" The general said, raging looking at all his subordinates. Devi looked all around and told God's eye,

"Now, get ready for battle, we are going to strike at all costs. We need to retrieve those mutant species".

Devi didn't know the floor on which the paraphernalia could be. So, he ordered God's eye "Search the entire building for any biosignature within the range of 50 degrees"

"Yes, Devi. On it" He responded.

Devi waited in regard to God's eye search. he suddenly heard noises and screeching sounds of the flesh eaters, they were coming towards his direction. Devi had a very heightened sense, he detected they were 5-meter apart from him.

"That's one… two …four…ten" he counted ten on the first floor. He couldn't see them, but his ears were so sharp that the slightest fly was unable to make a move without him hearing.

"God's eye. Hurry while I take care of these bitches"

"Ten isn't worthy of even amusing me." He sounded as he swiftly launched an attack on the first flesh eater.

The flesh eaters had huge, ugly fangs that extended out of their mouths. Their mouths were not big enough to cover their fangs, so they drooled a green-like liquid from their mouths.

As the first flesh-eater charged towards him, Devi sprang into action, delivering supersonic kicks that shattered the creature's bones with ease. The force behind each kick was incredible, and one could only imagine the sheer power Devi possessed. He had fought flesh-eaters before and had become adept at identifying their weak points. The only way to kill them was to shatter their chest bones, where their Monster essence was housed. Devi knew this all too well, and he made sure to strike with precision and deadly force.

Dealing with the first in just 10 secs wasn't much for him.

"I thought you were going to make an interesting spare partner, but too bad you didn't last long."

"Alright, you, you, and you," Devi commanded the flesh-eaters, addressing them as though they were normal humans. "I want each of you to come at me, one at a time. It'll be much more fun that way," he added with a hint of amusement in his voice. The flesh-eaters growled in response, their eyes gleaming with hunger and malice.

He knew that their intelligence rate was very low. All the flesh eaters on the ground floor immediately attacked together.

They moved in a zig-zag manner, they were nine in total. Devi jumped in the air propelling him 3 meters above the ground surface and he landed with a destructive punch on the ground.

As he landed, it was as though everything was in slow motion. The whole building shook slowly by the overwhelming momentum and disrupted the flesh eaters. The flesh eaters were taking off balance in a slow momentum.

Devi was the only thing that moved at a normal rate while every other thing moved slowly.

it was as if he had slowed down time. Now he had succeeded in taking them off their guard, it was time to make his death move. In that same second, he caught the first flesh-eater by its neck and he used his devastating hands to get rid of it.

He sang rhymes "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall…. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall…."Devi moved to his next victim and instantly gave it punches exceeding hundred, and it didn't take up to a millisecond.

The fast blows shattered its bones. He sprinted and used his right hand to sustain his body on the ground as he dished out a sidekick on the face of his third opponent.

"Eight green flesh eaters standing on the wall... eight green flesh eater standing on the wall…. If one green flesh eater accidentally falls… There would be seven green flesh eaters standing on the wall….".

To him, the fight was like a children's game.
