Letter From Academy

"Are you sure?" Aunt Evelyn asks.

"I am, like I said I don't care about rumors. It's just that I thought I disappointed you two, which is why I came home late," I say with my head down.

Aunt Evelyn lifts my head and hugs me. "You didn't. Okay, but if you want, you can drop out of the academy anytime. Also, if anything happens at the academy, you have to tell me."

"Okay." Hugging her back, I say. Those rumors aren't something I worry about. In my last life, many times people looked at me with disgust, hate, beat me up for no reason, and sometimes I almost died. Compared to that life, in this life, I have Aunt Evelyn and Emily, and the power to change things.

After this talk with Aunt Evelyn, I waited for a letter from the academy. For a week, I don't need to go to the academy, as they are going to check all students' performance to assign them classes.

During this week, I had all nine remaining Mana Pills. I advanced from 6th Low Grade to 6th High Grade, and in one more week, I will be 5th Low Grade. With the consumption of nine Mana Pills, I can even beat the person who is 4th High Grade.

In this week, I also did some combat training against Aunt Evelyn and Emily. They are strong and taught me basic combat training. This also helped me learn Basic Movement Skill and Basic Fistfighting Skill.

My Mana capacity also increased, and I can use Mana Manipulation even better. Although I still haven't found a way to use Mana Manipulation in battle, I can use this skill to recover my mana ten times faster.

After a week had passed,

I'm sitting on the sofa, with Aunt Evelyn in her bathrobe leaning against me on the left side. I can feel her warm skin and the smell of shampoo from her hair.

On the right side, Aunt Emily is also wearing her dress, covering everything, and leaning against me.

The two of them are looking at my hand. In my hand, I have a letter from the academy. This letter is going to tell me whether I'm going to study in the academy or not.

Although I was absent from the combat test, I did well in theory, so there is still a chance that I will be accepted into the academy.

In the academy, only 200 first-year students can study. There are around 231 students present, so 31 students will have to go back home.

Because of my theory test, there is a high chance that I'm not going to be among those 31.

Still, there are also negative feelings in my chest. What if I'm one of those 31 students?

So nervously, with my aunts beside me, I open the letter and read the line that says, "Congratulations, you're selected." Just reading this line makes my body feel lighter, and laughter escapes from my mouth.

Aunt Evelyn hugs me from the side, her cheek touching mine, and she says.

"Devin, Evelyn, hurry up and look at this."

Both of us hear Aunt Emily's excited voice. We look at her, and she points at a letter.

"What is it?" Aunt Evelyn asks as she takes the letter in her hand. I also look at it.

"What?" I exclaim, taking the letter in my hand. I look at the name on the letter, and it's indeed addressed to me.

How am I in S-Class? How?

"This is strange," Aunt Evelyn says as she puts her hand on her chin and thinks deeply.

"Yeah, it's strange," Aunt Emily also calms down from her sudden excitement and starts to think deeply about it.

The three of us think about it and can't come up with a reason why the academy would place me in S-Class.

"Well, I will go there tomorrow and I will find out the reason," I say.

"Yeah, there's no other way to know," Aunt Evelyn says, then she jumps from the sofa and turns towards me with excitement, causing her bathrobe to fall and her nude body to be in front of me showing me everything.

"Kyaa," she lets out a scream, catches the robe, and quickly wraps it around herself.

"I'm going to make a delicious meal to celebrate your admission to S-Class," she says and rushes to the kitchen.

"It's her fault for going around in those clothes," Aunt Emily shrugs. She then talks to me about the academy as she was once a student there. She tells me about all the teachers that the academy has and how to behave with them.
