Madison & Reinhart vs Subun

{Back To the Fight with Madison and Reinhart vs Subun.}

Both Madison and Reinhart watch as everything around them gets covered with darkness as Subun puts his hand on the ground and speaks.

"Come to me, my children and defeat my enemies for me."

 As spirits start to come out from the darkness, that's around Madison and Reinhart. Reinhart takes his sword and tries to hit one of the spirits, but his sword just goes right through the spirit, like it is a shadow. After Reinhart's sword goes all the way through the spirit, the spirit makes a spear out of the darkness around it and stabs Reinhart in the leg with it. As Reinhart gets stabbed, he puts his sword in the ground and tries to remove the spear with his hand, but when Reinhart tries to grab the spear, his hand phases right through the spear. 

"Do what. How does that make any sense?"

Madison stands there watching very closely to how the spirit could touch Reinhart, but Reinhart couldn't touch it. Madison looked forward and put his hand on his chin and started to think.

("How did the spirit touch Reinhart but he couldn't touch it? Could it be a spiritual thing, or maybe…")

Madison pulls out an arrow and starts to spin it around his fingers as he nods his head up and down, as Subun looks at both Madison and Reinhart as he speaks.

"Can you see it now? No matter what, you can't defeat me and my spirit army. As long as there is darkness and shadows. My spirit will continue to come until you all die."

As Subun was talking, a spirit came out of the darkness behind Madison to stab him in the back with a spear. As the spirit goes to attack Madison from behind, Madison spins his arrow even faster and throws it behind him, hitting the spirit in the head with the arrow. Madison then looked at Subun with a smile.

"Is that so?"

Subun looked at Madison and gave him a little smile then spoke.

"It looks like one of you has great knowledge and talent. But that also means that you must die first."

"You have a point there. It is best to kill the one that has the highest chance of winning. But the one downside for you in this position, is that I am not the only one here that understands your spirits and how they work now."

Subun looks at Madison for a second then starts to look around.

"It's fun that you say that, because I don't see anyone else in here but you two."

"You are correct. We are the only two here."

Subun stands there for a minute confused, but then releases what Madison mint, as Reinhart grabs his sword and stabs it through the spear that the spirit is holding on to, as Reinhart's sword goes through the spear he takes a step back, as the spear is now phasing through him. The spirit sees that Reinhart is trying to get away and tries to grab him, but Reinhart sees this and takes his sword and cuts off the spirit's head in one strike.

"You see, your spirits are quite the hassle to deal with, if you don't know how they work. At first the spirits seem to be living or a physical object that could be touched, but they are about to phase through things at any time, but they have one downside. When they want to touch something, they must become a physical thing, making them touchable."

Subun starts to clap for Madison.

"Well done. I see that the archer is good with his bow and is quick on his feet. But can you stop over 1,000 spirits from attacking you at once."

Subun lifts up both of his arms as hundreds and spirits come out of the darkness and they all start to run at Madison and Reinhart. Reinhart looks at Madison then back at the spirit.

"Madison, we need to run."

"Not yet Reinhart."

"Why not."

"Because we can win."

Subun starts to laugh.

"But can you win? With only one shot."

"You shot is all I need."

Madison aims his bow at Subun and before he shoots the arrow at Subun, Madison aims the bow up and shoots the arrow into the air.

"You're going to try to escape and leave your friend here to die."

"No, just the opposite."

As the arrow only gets 20 ft in the air, it explodes into a bright light, as all the darkness and spirit disappear, as Madison starts to walk towards Subun. As Subun looks at Madison with fear in his eyes, as Madison spoke.

"Oh, yeah I almost forgot to tell you that I know about the other little secret that your little spirit army had."

"And what is that?"

"Well, it is simple really. Your spirits need darkness or shadows to come out of, so if there is a bright light or just light in general, they will not come out. Or am I wrong?"

Madison gives a Subun and smiles as all the darkness disappears from around them and all the hundreds of spirits that were coming at Madison and Reinhart just vanish right in front of them. Subun watches with disbelief as all of the darkness has gone away from the bright light, as he tries to use, shadow step but couldn't find a shadow to escape in, as Madison aims his bow at Subun, and speaks.

"What is wrong? Can you not escape in any shadows?"

After Madison finished speaking, Subun looked at both Madison and Reinhart, and snapped his fingers and a dagger appeared in the back of Madison's right shoulder. As Reinhart turns to see what just happened, he sees that Subun is now behind Madison.

"How did he get behind us?"

Reinhart charges at Subun, forcing him to back away from Madison, as Madison is unable to move his right arm.

"Damit. He used Illusion Magic on us. I forgot he had that, I got too carried away, and left me guard down."

"We both did."

Reinhart looks back at Madison and sees the stab wound.

"Are you able to use your bow anymore?"

Madison shakes his head.

"Understood. Sit this one out, I will finish this fight."

Subun starts to laugh, after hearing that Reinhart wants to fight him by himself without Madison's help.

"Hahaha. You want to fight me without your archers' help. That is a good you, but."

Subun looks around for a second before he continues to think.

("Their reinforcements are on their way, and by the looks of it. Maho is out of the fight for some reason, and on top of that I am running low on my mana. If I keep trying to fight them, I will lose. So, my best opinion is to leave like Ranperuji did.")

Subun gives Madison and Reinhart a wave as he speaks.

"Well boys it is your lucky day, because I feel like living a little longer. Consider this a draw."

"As if."

"Reinhart."

Reinhart looked back at Madison again, as Madison spoke.

"Just let him go. We will lose if we keep fighting like this."

"Yes, but we can't just let him leave."

Reinhart turns to look back at Subun, but to Reinhart's eyes, Subun is already gone.

"Damit, he got away."

"That is probably for the best. Because the real fight is happening now in the castle."

"What do you mean?"

Reinhart walks next to Madison and starts to work on his wound in his shoulder, as they both can see that a part of the castle was destroyed by someone fighting inside of the castle. As the far side of the castle falls in, leaving a giant hole in the castle. Reinhart can hear swords clashing together and objects flying into walls as he speaks.

"What is going on in there?"

"It is simple really. Tristen is fighting both Alek and Malos right now."

{Flash Back 5 minutes}

Tristen stands up from the punch that Malos landed on him and looks at both Alek and Malos and speaks.

"So, the Monster and your flashy friend want a 2 v 1. If so, bring it on."

Malos smiles.

"Did he call me, monster?"

"Yes, he did, Malos. Whatever you do, don't hold back."

"I am going to crush him."

"Crush me? Do try to amuse me for the time being."

Alek took a step and spoke.

"You cocky little ass. I am going to kill you."

"Then quit talking and do it already."

As all three of them charge at each other.
