Chapter 1 The Phone Call

Scene 1

Theodar is sitting with his wife Valcey in his drawing room and suddenly a phone bell rings. Theodar gets up and walks forward and picks the phone up.



*A man on phone*: what have thought that you will be able to hide from us. No, we are coming (dangerous laugh) and (phone cuts).

Theodar came back to the room and sits on the cair with a terrible face.



Valcey: who was on the phone honey.

Theodar: I think it's time to leave this place.

Valcey: but why what happened.

Theodar: cause.....

Valcey: cause what! Say.. say why have you stopped.

Theodar: cause they are coming.

Valcey: Oh my god! Where will we go now and what about Axtan, he is grown up now, what answer would we give to him for going from here.

Theodar: Don't worry my company is opening a new branch in a small town Madripoor which is far from here so they will not be able to find us there.

Valcey: ok but what about Axtan. Will he go from here, leaving his friends?

Suddenly Axtan arrives.

Axtan: hi mom hi dad, I m home.

Both at the same time: Hi son

Valcey: (clears throat in the way of indicating Theodar to talk to Axatan).

Theodar: Hey, son come here, I want to talk to you.

Axtan: yes dad coming.

Axtan goes and sit with his dad.

Theodar: listen son my company is transferring me to a new branch which is in Madripoor. So, we have to leave this place.

Axtan: (in sad tune) but dad I can't leave my friends.

Theodar: please son understand it's about my job.

Axtan: ok dad. When will we leave this town?

Theodar: as soon as a possible son.

Axtan: ok dad.

Valcey: ok now both of you come let's have dinner.

After that they all have dinner and everybody goes to their room.

*Theodar and Valcey's room*

Theodar on phone: yes sir I m ready to go there. Ok, sir. Ok. Ya fine. Ok, sir bye thankyou.

Valcey: what have he said.

Theodar: he said that we all must be left in three days to Madripoor.

Valcey: ok.

After that, they go to sleep.

                         Scene 2

The next morning Theodar, Axtan, and Valcey are doing breakfast, sitting on the dining table.

Theodar: Axtan I have talked to my boss yesterday night about my transfer and he told me that we have to leave this town day after tomorrow. So, today I will come to your to pick you up and to talk to your principal as well.

Axtan: to talk to my principal? For what dad?

Theodar: son we have to do some formalities so that you can leave that school.

Axtan: ok dad.

After that, they both leave the home.

In the evening Theodar goes to Axtan's school and talks to his principal and after that returns home with Axatan.

Theodar: Valzy we are home.

Axtan: Mom where are you?

After that, they started finding Valcey. They both were very tensed.

Axtan found Valzy in the kitchen. She was lying on the floor.

Axtan:(loudly) dad.....dad comes fast.

Theodar arrives

Axtan: dad mom.....mom.

Theodar: no no no no she can't leave me like this. Valzy gets up get up please, please.

Theodar finds a letter near Valzy.

*Theodar reads the letter*

We warned you we are coming. This is a gift from us to you. Enjoy it dearly.

After that next day, they did their funeral. And after that, they come back home.

*At home*

Axtan: dad are we going to Madripoor now.

Theodar: yes son.

Axtan: but dad.... after mom's death.

Theodar: look son we need to go there what happened is just an accident and we can't stop anybody to go. Right?

Axtan: yes dad.

Theodar: so, now go and pack ur important things which you want to take with you.

Axtan: ok dad.

The next day, they leave early morning to Madripoor. And arrived there at night.

Axtan: dad is this our new home.

Theodar: yes son.

After that, they have dinner and goes to sleep.

                            Scene 3

In the morning Theodar and Axtan are sitting at the dining table having their breakfast.

Theodar: son after having your breakfast get ready fast we have to go to your new school to meet your principal. Ok?

Axtan: ok dad.

After that, they both get ready and goes to Axtan's school.

*In principal's office*

Principal: welcome welcome Mr. Theodar Kodiak and you to Axtan. Nice to meet you both

Theodar: thank you, sir. Nice to meet you too.

Principal: So, Mr. Kodiak says how may I help you.

Theodar: sir we have talked about Axtan's admission to your school on the phone.

Principal: ya, ya right. I remember and you will be happy after hearing that Axtan's admission is passed in our school.

Theodar: oh thank you, sir. Thank you very much.

Principal: Oh it's okay. A..... Mr.Kodiak if you don't mind can I ask you something.

Theodar: ya, ya sure sir.

Principal: why have your son is wearing that eyepatch on his right eye.

Theodar: a..... Sir when he was 8 years old he was caught by a major accident in which he lost his right eye. So that's why he wearing an eyepatch on his right eye.

Principal: oh sorry to hear that.

Theodar: ya that day was just like a black day to us. We'll leave it, sir, it was a past, let's talk about the present, may I send him to the school from tomorrow.

Principal: ya, ya sure Mr.Kodiak, okay Axtan see you tomorrow.

After that Theodar and Axtan leave the school. And arrives home soon.

Theodar: come son let's have lunch.

Axtan: ok dad

Theodar and Axtan sitting at the dining table.

Theodar: look son now from tomorrow you are going to start a new life from tomorrow in a new city, a new school and with new people. So just forget about your past. And think that if your mom sees you like this will she be happy?

Axtan: no dad

Theodar: so just smile and be happy. okay.

Axtan:(happily) yes dad.

After that, the day passed by easily.
