24 The wrong weather forecast

Yan Shu suavely walked up to the stage. She gazed at Li Qiuqiu deeply. Li Qiuqiu shivered slightly and passed the mic to Yan Shu.

"So, you want me to perform? Do you know how many people are lining up for me to perform?"

Everyone present were speechless including Old Master Su except Morgan who was actually cheering inside excitingly.

"Before this, let me clarify, I have already rejected to the offer of participating in the event. Didn't I?" Yan Shu directed her raised eyebrows at Li Qiuqiu. Although she didn't reject Li Qiuqiu directly, but Xin Bai was Li Qiuqiu's right hand. So how could she possibly not tell her!!

"Back to the point. Since you all are so eager to see me perform, let's have a deal." Yan Shu smirked at the audience.

"Mo Ran, it's just a performance. You don't have to be so serious about it." Li Qiuqiu said in a pleading tone pretending to ease the situation.

The place turned into an uproar.

"Exactly, who does she think she is? It's just a performance."

"She could've just said that she doesn't have talent in any extra curriculum. Why is she trying to act so mighty?"

"I used to think she would be a happy-go-lucky person but who knew she was full of arrogance! I can't believe I fell for her beauty and voted her for campus belle."

"I think she's pretty cool. Didn't you see how she was sleeping in the back seat? Even our Principal won't dare to sleep infront of Old Master Su and Morgan."

"Huh!As expected. She is just so full of herself. Look at Li Qiuqiu; she is so kind trying to ease up the situation everytime Mo Ran mess it up."

"Well, let's just wait and hear her first. Don't jump to conclusions so fast. We don't know about her that much anyway."

"How can she be so smug? People are dying to see her perform! How come we've never heard of it?"

The students present there couldn't help but discuss their opinions among them. 

Unbeknownst to the chaos, people kept entering from backdoor one after one and sat in the last row where they can't be seen but they can see everything clearly.

"That's right. It's just a performance but you wanted to make tonight's event little bit different from the previous year celebration. How will it be any different if I just give a performance!? So, let's spice it up like our host of tonight said and trust me I can guarantee you, the thing I am going to do has never happened in any event before." Yan Shu slyly smiled.

Seeing her, Old Master Su was stunned. He started to doubt if the person on stage was really his granddaughter or not or if she is a doppelganger?

In The Back Row

'So, boss hurried over to watch Miss Su perform!' Assistant Su shook his head sitting beside his Boss.

Si Junyan was in the middle of a meeting discussing the project for tomorrow's tender to decide for the final one. His phone suddenly lit up and unlike other times, this time he picked it up and who knew what he saw or what someone said to him that he walked out of the meeting room in a dash. Assistant Hu had no idea of what happened, so he just followed behind his boss hurriedly leaving the others in the meeting room without any direction.

Si Junyan leaned back comfortably in the seat, his crossed legs were elegantly placed as he put his right elbow on the armrest holding his chin in between his two fingers. He seemed to be in a deep thought, his eyes never leaving the short haired girl on the stage.

On the vertical opposite corner, another person who just arrived not long ago was giving off worried aura as he tapped on his phone and put it by his ears seemingly calling someone.

"Grandpa, shouldn't we stop it?" Su Jiacheng hurriedly asked over as soon as he heard the other person pick up not giving the other party to even speak first.

"I wanted too but Mo Ran said she will handle it. Let's trust her for now since she's been improving these past days." Old Master Su answered in a low voice that is even inaudible to the two persons sitting beside him.

"But, Grandpa, last time it took her almost a month to recover." The former didn't want to back out.

"Ah Cheng, in worst case scenario we both are here to protect her. Next, if she really overcomes this time, it's a huge moving step. Remember what Dr. Yu said the last time?"

"I do. But triggering her up might either cause worst scenario or good scenario." He paused and heaved a helpless sigh then continued, " Okay, Grandpa, as you say. It's not like I can convince her not to do anything neither can persuade you to convince her. Show some pity to this worker of you two stubborn folks."

"Ha.. Just don't let the matter spread outside and keep the whole area in check. You never know who's lurking." Old Master chuckled at his grandson's words. However as soon as he was reminded of something his eyes turned gloomy and dark emitting an aura saying, "come near me and you shall die". 

Beside him, Principal Liu snorted. He had read the weather forecast today before coming out which specified that today will be a hot and sunny day, but he was shivering and feeling cold suddenly to the point that if he moves now, he might break himself.

"All in point. How can I afford to make a mistake in this case, Grandpa. Its something that I won't ever forget doing even after I die." He answered solemnly. He was speaking the truth. Everything in the world was second priority to him, even his parents where Su Mo Jiaran, his cousin sister has always been the first priority of him even if he gets to deathbed.

"I know." Old Master Su then hung up the phone and shifted his attention to his granddaughter.
