13 THE DREAM

A man is seen in a surgical room, and the person on the bed appears to be in a deep sleep. It seemed like surgery was being performed. There were some doctors in the room assisting him.

The people in the room were discussing while doing it but it was impossible to hear. Their voices were heard all at the same time. It made it look like an incantation. The atmosphere all of a sudden felt cold and the activities began to occur in reverse. It was as if all of a sudden they were going to the past.

The man who was performing the surgery had now appeared in a local environment. It was a little familiar though. It looked like Edmund's. He looked at his hands and noticed that his body had begun to be decreasing in age. The man in his 50s had all of a sudden become as young as a 40 years old man. He returned his attention to the environment. He saw a group of guys particularly five in number.

One of them had been stabbed by the other who was now on his heels. Surprisingly the other boys didn't seem affected, they just stood still like tall trees.

Dr. Dante walked up to them and asked what had happened but there was no response. He turned his attention to the injured man and offered to treat his would but it was too late Edmund was dead.

Surprisingly he was quite affected by the young man's death. He wasn't going to let such a handsome young individual die like that. He looked around and spotted a familiar herb, so he ran and plucked some of it. He squeezed it and applied its juice to the man's injury. He then tore a piece of his white clothing and used it to cover Edmund's injury.

After waiting for some minutes, he checked the body and didn't get a pulse. He then laid his head on the dead body realizing that the man had been long gone. He turned to the other men and was about to rant at them for their indifferent attitude but they were also gone. They had vanished into thin air.

Dr. Dante then returned his gaze to Edmund. He was frightened by the eyes of the man. Edmund had woken up from the dead with his eyes having a different appearance. His pupils were white and had circular rings in them. The more Dr. Dante looked at them, the more they became larger and he was now totally engrossed in them. He stared at them till all he could see was darkness.

"Argh!" Edmund woke up from this nightmare. He was quite frightened by the dream he had just had. It didn't make sense to him and had no meaning. He looked outside through his opened window. It was sunrise already. He got up from his bed and put on some clothes. He was about to head out when someone walked in.

It was Ayan.

"What are you doing here by this time?"

"Hope you have washed your mouth?" He asked, he waited moved away from him not wishing to perceive anything offensive.

"Haha. Very funny."

"I washed my mouth already" Ayan moved closer and breathed some air into Edmund's mouth.

"What did u do that for!" Edmund used one to cover his nose while the other pushed him away.

Ayan sat on Edmund's bed and began to look around the room. The atmosphere was filled with silence.

"What's the weirdest dream you've ever had?" He asked Ayan who seemed lost.

"Why'd u ask?"

"Just curious." He replied.

"Well, I hadn't told you this one but when I was a kid. I'd have dreams about some animals talking. Sometimes it would go as far as me seeing myself in that dream." Ayan wasn't even done when Edmund burst into laughter.

"If you were going to laugh at my dream then maybe you shouldn't have asked." Ayan turned and was about to leave but Edmund held him back.

"Okay, your dream's great." He faked a smile which eventually turned into another round of laughter.

"Seriously! Tch…." Ayan looked at Edmund and not long later he also began laughing.

"Well…. I had a similar dream just that mine's weirder" Ayan raised his head and turned his attention to Edmund who now had a serious expression on his face.

"Just that.. Mine isn't funny like yours."

These words took out every bit of laughter from Ayan's face. He also now had a serious look on his face.

"In my dream, I had died and resurrected." Ayan was shocked on hearing this. Only one man had ever resurrected and it had happened a few centuries ago. He didn't know the man though but he had heard stories of him. People called him JEŚUS DÉ NAZARET.

Edmund narrated all that had happened in his dream and as he went on Ayan could only get more aghast.

"Don't worry yourself about it too much. It was just a bad dream." Ayan got up from the bed and looked at his friend.

"Get up. Let's go." Edmund got up and they both left the room. Midway to his exit he turned and saw something. It was a white cloth. He blinked his eyes multiple times and didn't see it again.

'It was his hallucination'

"Comon! let's go." Edmund returned his gaze and left the room.
