19 HE DESERVES TO DIE!!

Noises of people were heard, and three men were in a discussion as they walked. Drax, Skurt and Akima were on their way to the bush, not to farm but to hunt.

"So what do you think you will catch today?" Skurt asked Akima who happens to be an excellent hunter. He had invited his friends to accompany him.

"Well, maybe a deer this time." In his left hand was a bow as he kept his quiver tied around his shoulder.

"Okay but, I get the head this time." Drax added with a wide smile on his face.

They walked for a bit and spotted two men approaching. It was Ayan and Edmund who were returning from their farms.

Ayan spotted Akima and tried to convince Edmund to avoid making eye contacts with him but Edmund simply ignored. Soon they had come closer and were directly in front of the duo.

"Hey Ed, Ayan! how are you doing? Akima asked but his greetings were rebuffed by Ayan who gave him a stern look.

"We are fine." Edmund quickly answered on realising Ayan's look.

"Oh… yes I heard about Drax and all that."

"Yh.. what's up?" Edmund replied. He was proud of what he did but always felt kind of uncomfortable when ever it was brought up.

"I really have to say. You are amazing man. How did you do that?" Akima added

"Nothing really, just grabbed a leaf and just… you know… squeezed it man."

Akima didn't like Edmund's expression neither did he like Edmund. In fact, he had tried to kill him severally but it seems the earth's bad luck lived with him. But not this time, he was going to finish Edmund for good and watch him die.

"So err.. we were going hunting wanna come along?" Akima asked Edmund. Ayan tapped Edmund on the leg gesturing at him to decline the offer. Akima saw this but simply smirked.

"Oh… Cool!"

"Hey wanna join?" Edmund asked Ayan who nodded his head, declining the offer. He couldn't stand Akima's presence talk less of watching him kill some foolish animals who he couldn't defeat without some bows and arrows.

Edmund handed the hoe in his hand to Ayan and joined them.

"So, let's go!" He said and the four of them walked away leaving Ayan who simply watched in disgust.

"Hey kill it!" A voice yelled beside him was Akima. There were two other people by the opposite them also making a crouching position trying not to alert the deer they had surrounded.

They crouched in the bushes covering their skin with leaves and shrubs and very soon Akima had gotten a good view of his prey. 'Edmund'

He stayed motionless and positioned the sharp edge of his arrow at Edmund's forehead waiting for his opportunity.

"It is time. You have to pay for all you have done." He said silently not wanting to catch Skurt's attention who was just beside him.

He drew the arrow backward and released it.

'PEUWWW'

The arrow went straight into the animal's abdomen forcing it to release a loud cry.

Akima had changed his direction upon realizing how compromising it would be if Edmund dies by his arrow in front of them.

"Wow!!" Skurt let out his excitement interrupting Akima who was lost in his thoughts.

The four of them went to the animal and Akima finished it off with his knife. He looked at the blood dripping from it and gave Edmund a stern look. He noticed this causing Akima to change his expression and smile back at him.

Drax lifted the deer and put it around his neck reason being he was the one getting it's head. They all begin to laugh at Drax's behaviour as they walked back home.

"I have to go somewhere guys!" Edmund suddenly remembered, he needed to buy something.

"Where?" Drax asked him.

"Nowhere serious. I just want to get new cutlass." He replied him instantly and ran off.

The market wasn't as crowded as he had expected. There were a few people buying things around. His eyes began to search for the blade sellers and soon he found one. The man was attending to two females who seemed to have also come to purchase some blades.

"Oh...Finally!" He said as he immediately rushed to the blade seller's shop.

"Do you sell cutlass!" He asked the seller and noticed the presence of a stunning blonde haieed lady beside him. What drew him to her was her curves.

"Hello!" He greeted the lady still keeping his gaze fixed at her behind.

Verola ignored him maintaining her serious look.

She followed the direction of his gaze and gave him a stern look.

Edmund didn't notice this as he still maintained his gaze on her behind.

She immediately picked up a blade from the shop and placed it against his neck.

"Uhhh!" He finally woke up from his slumber to the sword on his nape. Then, to the beauty weilding it.

It brought back some memories. He looked at the shape of her face, then to her blonde hair.

"Warrior princess!" He yelled.

Verola was confused at first and slowly withdrew her blade from his nape.

"Oh my, it's really you!" He continued.

Verola had a sharp memory and was good at remembering. She looked at his eyes and remembered the same eyes she had been thinking about. Those eyes which had peeped at her during her combat with the thugs at the tavern.

Her eyes got widened upon realising who he was and Edmund only gave her a wide smile.

But not long after he felt a dagger behind him. It was Miller's.

"If you say another word, it might be your last." She whispered silently to his ears not withdrawing her blade from him.

Based on what he saw at the tavern and the less populated environment, he knew it wouldn't take them a second to end his life. So he kept mute and followed her orders.

Verola instantly paid for the sword she purchased and rode away. Miller did the same and Edmund and the seller were left speechless at what they witnessed.
