8 CHAPTER 8: FUTURE PLANS

Arianna sat down at the table with the others, and her plate was quickly filled with food. Arianna showed no mercy as she gobbled each and every item placed on her plate. She'd lost track of how long she'd eaten meals that had been prepared for her by others. It reminded her of home and made her weep.

Marylyn watched with alarm as her daughter wolfed down food like she hadn't eaten in years. Paulo chuckled and comforted her by squeezing her hand.

"She just misses home-cooked meals, so it's a good thing she's eating now. Imagine what will happen if she goes on another hunger strike," Bethany said, and Marylyn's thoughts was cleared.

After some deliberation, Mary agreed with her eldest daughter. She remembered how, in the days leading up to Arianna's suicide, she refused to eat anything. She'll throw a temper tantrum, refuse to eat, and go berserk.

They should have suspected something was wrong at the time, but Arianna deceived them all by suddenly becoming a good child and eating. They were caught off guard, and by the time the nanny walked into her room to check on her, she was no longer breathing.

Everyone was scared, and Marylyn didn't want to go through something like that again. So she was disturbed to see her eating in this way; she had no idea what was going on in that little girl's mind.

Marylyn could only sit there and watch her daughter stuff herself with the food. At the very least, Arianna didn't have a troubled expression on her face, and she could tell that her daughter was happy. She wondered if Arianna had any other plans now that she was feeling better and able to walk again.

Arianna was overjoyed at how she was able to wolf down all of the food without her tummy bulging at the end of breakfast. She felt her entire system become much more warm every time the food reached her intestines, as if the energy in the food was being spread all over her body.

She had the notion that her body's physique had improved, and that she had obtained one of those mysterious corporal physiques as a result of this transmigration; if this was the case, she wouldn't have to worry about becoming obese again in her life.

Arianna wiped her mouth before turning to face the people seated next to her; she then realized she had caused a scene while eating. Her face flushed, and she noticed Bethany chortling. She just wanted to disappear completely, but it was too late.

"It's nice to see you eating so well. If there's anything you want to eat, let us know and we'll get it for you," Paulo said softly to his daughter, who smiled at him.

"I'll, Daddy."

What more could the family ask for than seeing the her so happy? Paulo left the table after a short chat with Marylyn after breakfast was served. Marylyn carried Arianna out of the dining room and outside once everything was done.

The mansion had two gardens, and Marylyn was leading her to the back garden, which was quite refreshing. Arianna inhaled deeply as she listened to her mother talk about the new flowers that the gardeners had planted while she was absent.

Arianna looked at her mother, pleadingly, and said, "I want to walk." When she could walk with her two feet, she felt quite suffocated being seated this way.

Looking into her daughter's begging eyes, Marylyn could only comply and consent to her wishes.

"I'll keep an eye on you, and if you become tired, you must tell me," Marylyn said. As much as she wanted her baby to be able to walk on her own, she was concerned that if she walked faster, she might go out and cause more problems.

She only wanted to keep her in the compound so she could keep an eye on her 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and this time she would not let anything happen to her again.

Arianna swore, "I promise I'll tell you if I don't feel okay," aware that it would take time for her mother to believe her again.

Arianna cautiously stood up from her wheelchair under the watchful eyes of her mother and sister, ignoring the many eyes of the maids who were following them, since Marylyn consented.

"Mom, I realize what I did was not the best decision. I tried to commit suicide for a guy who didn't even see or care about me. I really want to apologize for not taking my life seriously; I will not do it again," Arianna apologized, lowering her head to express her remorse.

Marylyn and Bethany were perplexed by Aria's sudden apology; they all knew how spoiled she was, and Aria was never wrong in anything she did. She was lovely most of the time, but she was the worst when it came to acknowledging her shortcomings.

"I know it's hard to believe, but I've been thinking about it for a long time and I've finally seen the light. It was just me and my wishful thinking; Lucas had never loved me or given me hope. I should have noticed it sooner, but I didn't want to face the truth, so I tried to end it in an effort to avoid it, but it failed. I will not allow a second chance in life go to waste because I have been granted one. I'm going to treasure my life from now on, study hard, and I promise you that one day I'll bring you a prince as a son-in-law because your baby deserves nothing but the best," Arianna proclaimed all at once, and she felt good expressing it.

She didn't think she'd be able to attract more a prince, but she thought she'd be able to attract some high-profile suitors, not just children of dukes or marquises, with the direction her life was being steered to.

When Marylyn heard the rest of Arianna's speech, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She wanted to reprimand her at first, but the more Arianna spoke, the more she realized that her baby had moved on, which was a great thing.

"Are you confident about bringing me a prince as a son-in-law?" Marylyn couldn't help but ask, as this comment made her laugh.

"Have faith in your daughter; I'll rope one in and make sure he worships the ground I walk on," Arianna confidently replied. She was quite confident that she would achieve anything she desired with the help of the system, and she couldn't wait to see where it would take her. After all, this system was also there to help her find a responsible man.

The mood changed quickly, and the ladies began to dive deeper into Arianna's words, making fun of her. It was a beautiful sight, and the servants were glad to see their Masters so joyful. It was nice to see the young lady back and safe at home.
