61 CHAPTER 61: EXAM PREP

Arianna finally realized that time doesn't really wait for anyone. To think that one day she was having the time of her life and the next she was buried under books in preparation for her first exam in what seemed like an eternity.

She was nervous and tired because she wanted to do her best and make her family proud. When it comes to studies, the predecessor truly left an indelible imprint.

Arianna used to be a child who believed that if she wanted something bad enough, she would get it. There was no point in her putting in the effort and making her life more difficult by studying if she was not going to use any of her education in the future.

Arianna was entitled to a trust fund as a Kendall, which she will be able to access when she is twenty-one years old, and the money was enough to last her a lifetime. If she has a family, she will be able to care for her children.

In other words, Arianna believes that focusing on her studies is a waste of her time. What mattered to her was how she would spend the rest of her life with Lucas if things didn't work out.

But this was the new Arianna, the soul who valued everything she did, and the opportunity to attend such a prestigious university and be among the best was something she didn't want to pass up.

She wanted to leave her mark on the world, and being a studious person can make others look at you favorably. Imagine she's walking down the street and these kids see her and burst out laughing.

"There you have Arianna Kendall. She was the top student; I can't believe the young lady accomplished so much!"

Arianna could feel the happiness coursing through her veins as she imagined how things would be in the future. Of course, she couldn't become a s=top student because there were better students than her.

She would be nowhere near the top 100 if it weren't for the memory enhancing pills and the system space where she studies on occasion, which is quite an embarrassment.

So Arianna decided to give it her all this time and shock the world once more. And the best way to do it was to study, which she had been doing constantly, but being a loner can mess up your head, which is why Arianna went a step further to achieve her dream and dragged Freya to a study group.

So, while she waits for Freya, Arianna was busy arranging the books on the desk in her study. The girls had decided to spend the weekend at Arianna's house and devote their time to studying because their exams would begin on Monday.

It wasn't the kind of studying that one does in the spur of the moment, but rather the kind that people do to keep things fresh in their minds.

Marylyn had given her all because Arianna was studying and didn't go out this weekend, instead taking it upon herself to help prepare nutritious foods for her baby to read.

Arianna had grown accustomed to her mother's eccentricities, so she simply let her do whatever she pleased as long as she was happy. It didn't take long for the maid to announce Freya's arrival. So Arianna went outside to greet the girl; it was Freya's first visit, and she didn't want the other girl to feel lonely and out of place.

Freya couldn't help but notice how lavish the mansion was as soon as she stepped out of her family car with her satchel full of books. This was her first visit, and she enjoyed it.

She was envious that her friend got to live in such a large and beautiful place, but when she considered how Arianna would be alone most of the time with her parents away, she was glad she lived with her family in their average villa.

She was a chatty person who enjoyed being around other people. So being alone in a room full of servants was not something Freya would want to do every day.

She smiled as soon as she noticed Arianna hopping out of the house like a child. She'd grown accustomed to Arianna's childishness, and Freya adored her for it.

This made her realize how much Arianna had changed and how similar she was to any other young girl out there. Seeing the other happy and enjoying her life made Freya feel like she had accomplished something significant in her life, and befriending Arianna was the best thing she had ever done.

"Come in, it's a little chilly out there!" Arianna shouted as she waved at her.

"I'm on my way!" Freya handed her satchel to the maid and ran up to Arianna, who hugged her.

Arianna dragged the other girl inside after they hugged for a while.

"Greetings, and welcome to our humble abode!" Marylyn appeared like a ghost and greeted Freya warmly.

Freya, who was seeing Marylyn up close for the first time, nearly fainted from shock, but quickly stabilized herself because she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of someone she admires.

"Thank you for having me," Freya said shyly, shocking Arianna, who was witnessing this new side of Freya.

Marylyn liked the young girl at first sight; it wasn't just anyone who could maintain a genuine friendship with Arianna. Marylyn had done her research and knew how the two became friends.

She was thrilled that her baby had finally found someone who wasn't afraid to tell it like it was. That tragedy could have been avoided if Arianna had had people like Freya before.

Marylyn quickly shook the crazy thoughts out of her head and replaced them with happy ones. Because the tragedy had already occurred, she decided to put it behind her and focus on the present.

"Just be free and make this your home. Arianna will take you to her study, and you girls should do something productive there, and if you need anything, just ring the bell," Marylyn said to the two girls.

"Mom, we're leaving, and don't bother us for nothing," Arianna said, sticking her tongue out at Marylyn before dragging Freya away.

Marylyn chuckled and shook her head as she looked at her running daughter. "Send them some snacks every hour and start with the soup now," Marylyn instructed nanny Juliet, who had been standing in the room.

"I'll get to it right away."

Arianna took Freya to her study and let her run wild, inspecting every corner of the room before settling into one of the chairs.

"I brought some old exam papers with me. Let's do those and see what we can come up with," Freya said as she pulled a stack of papers from her satchel.

"Sure, let's do it!" Arianna said, taking the papers from Freya.

The girls hadn't even begun their papers when nanny Juliet arrived with some filling soup. Arianna could only smile and thank her mother for her well-wishes. The girls ate their soup as quickly as they could and let the maids take care of the dirty dishes.

"This will be happening throughout the day, so if we don't start now, I am afraid we will just get bloated without studying a thing," Arianna warned her friend as she became serious.

Freya smiled as she listened to Arianna; she, too, was aware that the day would be long, so she, too, took her own set of papers and, after starting the timer, the two girls began to attempt their first question paper.

This was the start of the first day of studying at home; the rest of the day was spent doing more question papers and marking them, analyzing what went wrong and figuring out how to fix it.

The next day was the same, but unlike the previous day, Arianna completely barred her mother from coming near her because she didn't want to get stuffed like a pig and fill her head with only food and not her studies.

Everything went well, and with the help of more memory enhancer pills, the girls were more focused than ever before, and by the end, they both had faith in themselves that they could do it and produce better results than before.
