1 CHAPTER 1: MYSTERIOUS SPACE

She'd lost track of how long she'd been locked in that immovable, unchanging area. It could be a matter of days, weeks, months, or even years. What she did know was that the location where she was confined offered her with everything she desired.

She had plenty of food, clothing, and entertainment. What was even more annoying was that there was a library that required her to read every day, but she learned a lot as a result.

She had no idea why someone was pulling such a trick on her. She could vividly recall the day she suffered a heart attack in her cramped flat.

She was alone, sitting in her cheap chair, typing her most recent book in preparation for uploading it to the website. Her movements were severely constrained as a result of her obesity, and she despised exercise because it didn't benefit her in any way.

Who knew she'd be attacked at that very moment, resulting in a painless death? She found herself in this realm when she thought everything had ended, and she wondered whether this was either hell or heaven.

But so far nothing has happened in such a long time that she was beginning to doubt what was really going on.

Irene was an only child who wasn't particularly brilliant compared to other children but adored her parents. Her parents' relationship was not as peaceful as other couples', which resulted in their divorce and the realization that neither of them wanted her dawned on her.

Irene was entrusted over to her grandmother for custody, and the couple would send her some loose money once a month. Irene began working at the age of fourteen to supplement what was missing in the house as her parents concentrated on their new families.

Following the death of her grandmother, Irene became stressed, which led to her being overweight. She felt embarrassed to interact with others in the end. She made the decision to earn money and support herself through using her creativity.

Irene lived in a fantasy world where she could only have crushes on handsome males she saw on TV, in magazines, and in novels. One of her greatest regrets was that she never had the opportunity to be intimate with a man.

When she died, she expressed a strong desire to be born as a beautiful young lady, to have a loving family, and it would be a bonus if her family was rich.

It wasn't a crime for her to think that way; she'd gone through a lot in her past life and simply hoped for the best in this one. As if the heavens above had heard her prayers, they led her to this place, where she obtained practically everything she desired, but being alone again drove her insane to the point where she began to doubt everything.

Irene took a seat on the plush queen bed, which was draped in bright pink sheets. Her heart swells with emotions every time she walks into the bedroom, which was decorated in a princess style. The pink wallpaper had flowers and butterflies drawn on it, and it was plastered on the wall. The walls appeared to be somewhat real, which made Irene respect whoever designed or painted the wallpaper to bring them to that godlike level.

"Is there anyone arround here?" Irene shouted, this being her first shot at something like this.

She was getting a glimpse of what this may be as anexperienced author and someone who had lived through characters in a book. This may be described as the "dimensional spaces" by other novelists, and it was usually available for a transmigrator or someone about to experience a rebirth.

It was something Irene kept thinking over again and over. Irene was happy, as if the secret passage to a mountain of treasure had just been opened. She felt as though she had finally grasped the answers to all of the questions she had been contemplating for some time when she stumbled on the answer she had been seeking.

[Congratulations, host, on your rebirth!] said a mechanical voice, startling Irene.

"Damn, you're freaking me out!" Irene complained as she searched the room for the fluffy ball she had read about in some of the books and even written about.

[Host, there is no need to keep hunting for me because you will not find me. The host was granted a vacation to have some fun and be worry-free. I am a system that was created as a result of the host's unresolved regrets. I'm here to help you fulfill some of your wishes, but there will be a price to pay,] said the artificial voice, and Irene was thrilled.

Who cared if she had to pay a price if she could have the opportunity to have all of her dreams come true? She'll even sell her soul to the devil in order to witness their fruition.

"I don't care about the cost; tell me what I can do to regain my life back." She wasn't going to waste time or complicate the situation now that she'd been given a chance.

[Host will be reborn in a different world from the one in which you were born. The host will take over the body of another person and live her life. The host will have to fulfil that particular individual's wishes while at the same time living your life. You will be unrestricted in any way, and it doesn't matter how long it would take the host to accomplish the task as long as everything else is done.]

"How about you?" asked Irene. "When I complete my mission, what will happen to you?" This piqued Irene's interest. Despite her willingness to sell her soul to the devil, she was well aware of how cunning these systems were, and she didn't want to shoot herself in the foot with the gun she had loaded herself.

[The system will not interfere with your life, and the host can unbind with the system once your mission is completed.]

Irene felt at peace after hearing that. She'll simply make sure she completes the tasks as quickly as possible in order to regain her independence from the system.

"All right, I agree. I'll seize this chance; let's have a pleasant collaboration," Irene said.

[Then get ready, since this is going to be a rough process.....]

"A little what...?" She couldn't continue her question because she was hit with an excruciating agony that caused her to pass out.
