9 'I am ready'
"May I know the reason?" Lu Lan asked in a calm tone, although she already knew the reason.
Lu Lan knew these people when she was in Tax advisory. When Si Li offered her Tex Corporation's proposal, the first thing she did was, she contacted these people. These people were from the nearest village, who had talent but due to lack of knowledge, they didn't know what to do.
"We are not capable." The leader of labourers lowered his head as if he was ashamed of something.
"I never expected that all of you would betray me at the time when I need your help." Lu Lan was sad that after putting so much efforts, she left with nothing.
"That's not... we mean…" The leader of labourers immediately tried to explain.
"If you don't mean that, then don't abandon me, I need your help." Lu Lan said helplessly.
"But..."
"Give me time till tomorrow morning, if I am still not able to solve this problem then you can leave as you please." Lu Lan said and left without further discussion.
Rest of the day, Lu Lan continued with her work till late at night.

After Elder Lu adopted Lu Lan, he never differentiated between Lu Lan and Lu Xuelon. However, Madam Lu never considered Lu Lan as a daughter and deep down inside even Lu Lan knew that irrespective of whatever she would do, she wouldn't be able to make a place in Madam Lu's heart and so eventually she gave up.
When Lu Lan had stayed in Lu Mansion, she met Si Li because of Elder Si, however, she never had the guts to chit-chat with him like Lu Xuelon. Lu Lan also knew that Lu Xuelon had feelings for Si Li, however, because of Si Li's cold nature, he never considered her feelings.
Afterwards, because of Xuelon's tricks, Lu Lan decided to leave Lu mansion and she shifted to her parents' house since then she never met Si Li.

Back to the present….
Lu Lan came back to her senses and sent a text to Si Li 'I am ready.'
When Lu Lan left from the office she saw Si Li's car was waiting at the corner. On seeing Lu Lan, Mu Che came out of the car and opened the back seat car door for her.
Lu Lan straightaway went to Si Li's car and sat beside Si Li.
Then, the car drove off.

Next day
Both, Lu Lan and Si Li reached the Civil Affairs office and half an hour later, Lu Lan held marriage certificate in her hands.
