Aileen clasped her hands together while her expression turned stern. She ignored the strange stares given by the other demons in the diner and seriously pondered over the question of her morality.
Aileen, who was still a human two weeks ago, now turned into a demon, in more precise words, a succubus.
Aileen Mandez was her previous human identity, the only daughter of a rich oil business couple in R City. Aileen Mandez always wanted to be a background character rather than a protagonist that was always surrounded and watched by people. She always hated to communicate with people except for her family members. As Aileen began to dislike such a life, one fine morning at breakfast took away Aileen Mandez's life, she was poisoned to death.
That's how the human Aileen life's ended. But at the same time, it was also when a named demon, a succubus was born.

In the demon realm, there are seven types of demons corresponding to the seven sins. And a succubus falls under the category of the Lust-type demon.
There are three domains in the demon realm. The high domain is where the elite demons lived, the middle domain is where the strong demons lived, and the lower domain is where those with lower strength, mana, or intelligence were placed.
The succubi and incubi race was placed in the middle domain. As succubi were lust-type demons, they are more attuned to mana and had countless illusion spells. But then, they were weak when it comes to physical strength. And so, the succubi race can only be placed in the middle domain, only when a succubi/incubi turned into a devil or became a high-level succubi/incubi can they move away from the middle domain to the high domain.
As succubi/incubi were weak at physical fights, they established associations to help the almost dying succubi/incubi and the newborn ones to stave off their hunger by providing sufficient essence. Only when a newborn/dying succubi/incubi was capable of finding their essence provider would the association retreat from its duty.

"Aileen." A slender and white hand tapped Aileen's shoulder, waking her up from herself-moral questioning. Aileen turned to look at Crestelle who was holding a cylinder cup.
"Hi there, Crestelle." Aileen gave a small smile and replied curtly. Crestelle, who already know the nature of this named demon, smiled brightly.
"You didn't visit Lilith's Association today so I took the liberty to deliver your food," Crestelle said and stuffed the cylinder cup in Aileen's hand.
Lilith Association is an association made up of succubi that provided essences to the poor and newborn succubi. The food that Crestelle mentioned was 'essence'. It was produced by collecting the s*men after sex with any creatures. And Aileen refused to feed at it.
If she had been a demon without memories, maybe she would have feed at it already, but Aileen has memories of being a human, therefore she refused (she knows some old drivers on the internet and novels that swallowing s*men was part of a sex play! But she's an NBSB!) But how could she say this at full-fledged succubus Crestelle?
"Thank you. I will eat it when I'm home." Aileen wanted to eat it since her body was really hungry but her human rationale was preventing her!
Crestelle looked at her thin body and shook her head.
"I thought being born a named demon was a good thing but having no parents to provide you food is pitiful! You can't eat until you're full." Crestelle lamented and took another careful look at Aileen. Succubi were always born beautiful but even for a succubus, Aileen's beauty will enter the top five in Lilith's Association. It was a pity that Aileen looked so thin.
Aileen's pink lips twitched and she stood up from her seat. She bade goodbye at Crestelle and leave for her house. Aileen thought about her situation.
She was born a named demon.

There were two types of birthing in the demon realm, the first is a reproduction that Aileen is familiar with, and the other is mana converging birth, it was when too much mana gathered in one place and created a lifeform, the race the demon was birthed by this mana converging were random.
Mana converging births were rare but not that uncommon, but what was special about Aileen was she was a named demon. And just like it meant, she was already named even before the Demon temple can name her.
The Demon temple kept records of demon newborns and deaths. They also named newborn demons birthed by mana converging and raising them until their adulthood. If Aileen wasn't a succubus, the Demon temple would have already sheltered her instead of Lilith's Association.

So, what makes a named demon so special?
Those born from mana converging have high mana capacity, simply because they're born with it. Named demons were also different, they were born stronger and more adept at mana sensitivity. Named demons can also evolve into devils much faster, so, being born a named demon was like a privilege. And Aileen happens to be both.
If Aileen was simply birth by mana converging, it wouldn't be too uncommon, but she was also born a named demon. If this was a game, the character Aileen would be blessed by a mana and strength buff from the very start, and it will also accumulate as time pass.
It was both a gift and a curse for Aileen. A gift of strength was the most needed by her to survive here, as some weaker demons can be devoured by others. It was also a curse because she had the attention of the higher-ups in Lilith's Association and the Demon temple.
