~Mash B. POV~

Waiting around I see a town at the distance away from the tavern. That must be the Dalmary Town.

I wasn't the only one to notice this as Meliodas soon called out to everyone with a grin on his face, "Alright everyone we made it to Dalmary Town! And that must be the Baste Dungeon up ahead."

*Rmbl*

Turning my view toward the Baste Dungeon I asked Meliodas the plan when Mama Hawk dug down hiding away from others, "Alright Bossman should we follow along with you guys?"

But to my surprise, though Meliodas shook his head as he explained with his arm crossed with a grin, "Nah. Me and Diane got this. Besides it would be bad if Elizabeth followed us willingly to a den of Knights. And facing a Holy Knight without having to worry about protecting you guys would be great."

Blinking at his genuine concern for us I relented allowing Meliodas for us to stay following his command wishing good luck in a knowing tone, "Alright then boss. I'll be sure to keep the Princess safe."

Meliodas nodded as he and Diane began to make their way towards the Dalmary Town. I know it's been a long while since I read or saw the Seven Deadly Sins and I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what is happening here…

Hmm… Meh. I suppose for now I should keep an eye on Elizabeth and Hawk for the time being.

Turning my head around I see that both are gone Elizabeth soon appears looking around to see where they both went, "Ah! Hello, Mash-san have you seen where Meliodas and Diane have gone?"

Nodding my head I explained to Elizabeth the news with Hawk coming out from his spot and informing them, "Yeah… both already left to fetch Ban. The Bossman said that it would be safe for us to be here not be in harm's way against a Holy Knight. Or worse uses us as hostages."

Elizabeth looked down with Hawk chiming understanding Meliodas's reasoning for taking this course of action, "SPOINK! Good call. I don't doubt Meliodas or Diane's strength. But if we interfere will probably get in the way or worst get our ass cooked."

Elizabeth understood what I was saying speaking out loud in a depressed but nodded understanding his call in a defeated tone, "I… I also… want to do something to help Meliodas-sama. It's because I wanted to stop the Holy Knights and find the Seven Deadly Sins that he pushed himself so hard and – "

She stopped herself before looking up at me in a defeated tone clenching her hand close to her chest, "I wish I had the strength to fight the Holy Knights. The power to protect people I care about with my own hands. Then I wouldn't have to be putting all this on them."

I sighed getting her attention as Elizabeth reminded me of Emilia. I asked in a curious tone wishing to help her out, "Sigh… if you're acting that pathetic you could just ask for my assistance in teaching you some Magic. I happen to know all Six Forms of Magic from where I'm from the Kingdom of Lugnica to help. If you wish to ask my lady?"

I grinned seeing that we had free time with Elizabeth blinking in surprise at the offer as I talked to Beatrice using [Telepathy] asking her an important question, 'Beatrice… can you study the curse radiating off from Elizabeth and Meliodas?'

Upon coming to this world, I noticed their curses using my [Eyes of Mana] leaking from their souls. I didn't want to bring this up considering the ones who cursed them are the pseudo-gods of their world.

But soon I got my answer from my loveable loli spirit answering my question with a doubtful tone surprising me, 'Possibly… these Curses are different from what the Forbbiden Library discussed and foreign to me in this world. I've analyzed it but it should be possible given enough time in theory it should be doable or at least try. I'll give you an answer when I've finished reading the curse I suppose.'

Good enough for me. At the very least it's a start in the right direction.

~Third POV~

While the Boar Hat employees Mash, Elizabeth, and Hawk were safe away inside the tavern a bug was spying on them providing info back to the Weird Fang. Another could be seen following Meliodas and Diane making their way towards their base.

The one spying on them is One of the members of the Weird Fang named Friesia laughed seeing their targets, "Dofufufufu. Found you. This is the perfect chance. Dofufufufu!!!"

Standing up from her spot she wore armor that her helm resembled a spider with 8 eyes, 8 legs, and a mouth. Her gauntlet has sharp fingertips and a piece that extends, resembling a blade. She also carries a bladed, dual-tailed whip.

Golguius wears his helmet and looks like a demon with slanted eyes, nine dots over each eye, a mouth with sharp teeth, and horns on the sides. His torso is covered with a metal breastplate while his arms are covered in chain mail. His upper legs are also covered by armor, whereas his lower legs appear to be clad in knee-length metal boots.

Jude has a helmet has metal vines covering his face, and his shoulder plates have a large spike on each of them. On his left hand, Jude wields a spiked shield that has a rose insignia carved onto the surface of it.

Friesia chuckles informing her comrades of the situation in a confident tone earning the other's attention, "Dofufufufu! It seems like two of the Seven Deadly Sins have decided to come towards here. While the others with the princess are left behind seemingly hiding away in a tavern."

Golguius understanding the situation stood up and responded in a serious tone crossing his arms together, "Hmm… in that case how about I go ahead and obtain the Princess? The Kingdom is after her. The Pig is no issue along with the other man. What can they do against a Holy Knight? Kill me? Ha!"

All of them laughed at the idea with Ruin standing up preparing for battle ahead in a serious tone, "I agree. But we can't leave this base undefended. Jude, you stay and guard in the unlikely chance we fail. I and Friesia shall go against the Sin of Envy and Wrath. Golguius you secure the Princess. Do you have your objectives clear?"

They all nodded as they began to make their work known preparing their own battles ahead of them…

Meanwhile, Mash was teaching Elizabeth how to perform Magic from the Re: Zero world to his knowledge crossing his arms, "… And comes the Gate. It's something everyone has invisible and unknown to others but that's where in theory the Mana passes through. You got it memorized yet?"

Elizabeth tries to understand but unfortunately, her airheaded naivety nature is impeding his instructions sighing in a defeated tone, "Sigh… seems like my words are going through deaf ears."

She soon looks down her head quickly apologizing in a defeated tone, "I'm sorry…"

Hawk listening frowns at Mash's impatience making a comment earning his attention from his words, "Hey Mash buddy I know you teaching the princess how to use Magic or Mana whatever but… you do realize it's only her first time knowing this right?"

Mash curtly nodded his head understanding crossing his legs as they sat down in a knowing tone, "I know. I know… I thought it would be a bit easier for her to grasp. But I can slow down if you want or…"

Pondering on the idea Mash places his hand under his chin thinking of an idea just occurring inside his head, 'I wonder if I can use my [Gluttony] skill to 'share' my experience and knowledge easily with Elizabeth to immediately get the idea in her head. It worked for me 'sharing' Roswaal methods.'

Just as Mash was pondering on the idea but soon stopped Elizabeth apologizes for being so poor in Magic in a defeated tone, "I'm sorry Mash-sama. But I don't think I'm good at magic despite giving me your time to teach me. Perhaps I'm a burden –"

Before she could finish her words Mash stopped her interrupting that sentence in a serious tone, "No you aren't."

Elizabeth stopped her gaze that was on the ground to Mash filled with determination pointing out her good traits to uplift her spirits grinning at her, "I know what a burden is Elizabeth. And you ain't one. Your selflessness and bravery could be seen as recklessness… but often, your determination acts as an inspiration to others. I mean it certainly inspired me to help you out."

Mash grinned causing Elizabeth to smile at his kind words in a thankful tone, "… Thank you Mash-sama. I think I'm feeling better from your kind words."

Hawk grinned seeing Elizabeth feeling better as he knocked on Mash's leg seeing his sweet talking to her, "Heh. And here I thought you were just a good cook. You're a sweet talker huh?"

Jabbing on his leg Mash embarrassingly laughs it off any claims Hawk has on his mind explaining himself, "Hahaha… I guess so. But I have no interest in Elizabeth in a romantic sense if that's what you're implying Hawk. Besides she seems to love~ the bossman. Right, Elizabeth?"

Wiggling his eyebrows to prove the point Elizabeth's face turned beat red out of embarrassment trying to deny his claims. She was failing to show her emotions stuttering like a maiden in love.

This caused Mash to laugh at her embarrassment before his [Instinct] skills started activating immediately switching to [Eyes of Mana]. Hawk noticed the change in Mash's attitude by his facial expression.

Elizabeth also noticed a serious change of expression asking in a concerned tone, "Mash-sama what's – "

Pointing his finger directly at Elizabeth he cast a spell power radiating heat from his finger, "[Jiwald]!"

*PEW*

"ACK!"

Suddenly using [Jiwald] a spell that fires a heat ray from his finger he landed on the target behind Elizabeth startling her and hearing another sound.

Quickly turning around and getting behind Mash along with Hawk a person suddenly appeared out of nowhere clenching at where his body was pierced through the shoulder from his [Jiwald] groaning in pain, "Fucking shit! That burned!! Damn it I thought you would be a – ack!"

Suddenly the Holy Knight Golguius started choking feeling an unknown force grab ahold of his neck, hands, and legs Mash explained his Magical Power much to his shock, "Holy Knight Golguius. Magical Power [Transparency]. Just as its name suggests, is a power that turns the user transparent, thus making him or her essentially invisible to the eyes of the opponent. What the hell are you doing here?"

Golguius severely underestimated Mash in front of him thinking to be a weakling clenching his teeth in pain refusing to answer.

This caused Mash to frown as he sighed forcing him to do drastic measures making the Holy Knight pale from what he said, "Sigh… you forced my hand Golguius. I prefer to not use [Telepathy] to rip your mind apart but… drastic measures call for drastic times. I do apologize in advance for any brain damage."

Golguius's eyes widen feeling a foreign force his way into his mind quickly realizing the threat in a scared tone pleading, "No! Wait we can –"

Soon he fell silent as Mash began to read through his head of the prior events occurring making me frown informing the group expressing worry, "Tch. Seems like the Holy Knights made a trap for Meliodas and Diane using Ruin's [Hallucination] we better –"

*BOOOOOM*

Before he could finish a loud booming sound could be heard at the far distance making Mash click his teeth, "Tch. Seems like we're too late. Both already began fighting each other."
