In the dining room, a group of servants, including Laura and Annie, gathered behind Desmond. Ever since the incident at the shop, Laura had grown more reserved, only revealing her emotions in the presence of Desmond, especially when distress befell him. Her countenance mirrored that of Annie, who exuded an air of aloofness and detachment.

Desmond turned his attention to the assembled servants and inquired, "Has my parent sent a message yet?"

Laura stepped forward, her expression unchanged. "Not yet, young master," she replied.

A sigh escaped Desmond's lips as he observed the transformation in Laura's demeanor. "It's alright, Laura. Try to let your emotions show, don't be like Annie," he advised, casting a glance towards Annie, who barely betrayed a flicker of reaction.
