130 A New [Tree of Life]!

Saksham prepared himself to give Anitha the powers she wanted, but suddenly he stopped. He had just asked the system to give Anitha the healing powers she wanted, but instead of asking for confirmation for the use of EP, the system asked back something. Saksham heard it and he was taken aback. He didn't know if that was possible but he still agreed to the idea proposed by the system. If you are curious as to what happened, let's go back to a few seconds ago.

"Give her the powers she wants," Saksham said in his head.

"If she wants the power to heal, giving her normal powers would be alright, but there is another alternative too. If you choose that, her healing powers would be at least 10 times stronger than the normal powers you are about to give her. So, what do you think?" The System said.

Saksham heard this and he was surprised. Just the '10 times stronger' caught his attention pretty strongly. If he could, he would give Anitha the strongest powers in the world so that there would be nothing in the world that could harm her. But he knew that's impossible with his current state of powers. So he just wanted to give Anitha the powers she wanted at least. If he could somehow give her stronger powers, he would not hesitate to do so. So without even a shred of hesitation, Saksham agreed to the system's suggestion and asked it to elaborate further.

"Healing powers are rare from the very start. And usually, they are weak at the beginning, and rarely do people with these powers are able to fully awaken these powers. People with these powers are basically normal humans with powers to heal others or themselves. If that's what you want her to be and have, then you can go ahead and use your EP to give her these powers." The system said nonchalantly.

Saksham heard this and understood what the system meant. Even if he gives Anitha the powers she wants, she will still be the average human with no way to protect herself from harm. She will age and she can die too. And not just that, her powers might even be weak at early stages and rarely anyone can reach its full potential. Although his [Blessing of The Lord] can help her absorb [Aura] at a much faster rate, Saksham still wasn't satisfied with it. He asked, "Then what do you propose? What else can I do?"

"My proposal is that you use your EP and graft a branch of [Tree of Life] into Anitha. If the grafting process is successful, you only need to use a little more EP and grant her the ability to be able to freely use the vitality she would gain from the [Tree of Life]. As for why this is a good idea, let me explain. How do you think the healing powers of a person work? How can they heal someone? When they use their powers, the [Aura] in them is converted into vitality which is then transferred into the other person's body. Now, this vitality is used by their body to regenerate the wounds and other injuries."

"Now, what if someone already has a huge amount of vitality which is so pure that there is nothing like that in this world? What if that person can use that vitality and guide it out of their body and is able to use it for healing purposes? If this is done, Anitha would get the powers she wants but at least 10 times stronger with the help of [Tree of Life]. And not just that, due to the overwhelming vitality that single branch of [Tree of Life] will contain, it will slowly nourish her body and strengthen it in the process."

"Her powers will grow as she absorbs the [Aura] as it will be used as 'water' to grow the grafted branch of [Tree of Life]. This way, a new [Tree of Life] grows in her. The more it grows, the stronger vitality her body will hold. And of course, the stronger her healing powers will be. Maybe she can do something more with those powers as well. It will depend on how well she learns to control it. But except that, everything is a plus point."

Saksham heard all this and he paused for a moment and digested the information given by the System. The more he thought about it, the more he realized how amazing it was. If he did that, Anitha would get the powers she wants. And it will be many times stronger than anything she would expect. And not just that, she will even get stronger physically slowly as she the [Tree of Life] grows and nourishes her body. It was like a win-win situation through and through. He couldn't find anything that could be better than this.

But suddenly he skimmed over a part of the thing the system said in his head and suddenly he realized a problem. He asked, "What do you mean by 'if the grafting process is successful'? You mean there are chances that the process can fail?"

"Yes, indeed there are chances. Grafting a branch of [Tree of Life] is not something that can be done easily. In fact, there are basically no records of such things happening because of how extremely rare it was for anyone to even witness one in their entire lifetime. And the [Tree of Life] growing inside is a unique case as well. No one has ever heard of such a thing happening. And now grafting it into a normal human is something that's never heard of. That's why there is no guarantee if it will really work or not. But you can try to use your EP to do something about it."

Saksham once again fell into contemplation. The system's points were pretty valid. He really can't say anything about it at all. He knew that he was different than any usual person. His powers are different than any usual Awakened or Unusual. The [Tree of Life] that's inside him is really incredible. The boundless vitality pulsing inside him clearly shows how amazing and strong it is. In fact, Saksham's first thought when the system suggested this idea was that can she handle all the vitality in her body from the branch of [Tree of Life]?

But from the looks of it, it shouldn't be dangerous. Though, he still asked the system once again, "Will the process of just the grafting be dangerous for Anitha?"

"The process, in general, won't be dangerous. But just in case, keep your eyes open and be ready to use your powers to stop the process anytime if you find any problems. Except that, when the branch is grafted, you won't have to worry about dangers. The boundless vitality of [Tree of Life] is indeed strong but not harsh, instead, it is the gentlest force in this world. So, it will not harm her at the very least. And as it will flow through her body, it will be absorbed partially by it as nourishment. This way her body will get stronger with every cycle of vitality inside her body.

Saksham nodded and asked his last question that he had been meaning to ask for a while. He asked, "Will removing a branch of [Tree of Life] affect the vitality I receive from it? Will it affect me or my [Tree of Life]? If yes, then how much?"

"It will indeed affect you. How much? Well, let's take an example. If you remove a bucket of water from the ocean. There will indeed be 1 bucket of water less in the ocean. And that's how much you will be affected. As for the [Tree of Life], it will just have 1 less branch. It will grow another one in no time."

Saksham nodded and finally felt relieved. Since there were no dangers, and his own [Tree of Life] will not be affected in any way, then he had decided to just use his powers to try and graft it. He opened his mouth and said, "Anitha, I will start now. If you feel any pain or something in the process, tell me immediately. Alright?"

"Mhmm! I will!" Anitha nodded.

Saksham nodded too lightly and said in his head, "Graft a branch of [Tree of Life] inside her."

"Are you sure you want to use 70 EP?"

"What?! 70?? That's freaking expensive!!" Saksham almost shouted out loud in anger.

He shouted in his head for the system but no one replied. The system was tired of Saksham's nagging so it just didn't bother replying at all. In frustration, Saksham had to just press [Yes]. As soon he did that, he felt a little change inside him but then the feeling disappeared. He understood that it must have been the removal of a branch of [Tree of Life] from inside him.

He closed his eyes and looked into his heart and he found that yes, a branch from his sapling had disappeared. But suddenly it grew it back as well. Seeing this, Saksham felt relieved. He opened his eyes and started observing Anitha for any sort of the change in her body or expression. Even after 5 minutes, Saksham saw there was no change whatsoever, but he still didn't drop his vigilance.

After a while, a window popped up in front of him, which said [Grafting Successful!!]. Saksham saw this and finally took a breath of relief. He looked at Anitha who was slowly opening her eyes in a confused manner. As soon as she opened her eyes, she said, "Uhm…I feel as if there is something warm in my heart. And something is flowing from it around my body making it super warm for me. I don't know what it is, but it feels really warm and comfortable. What did you do Saksham?"

Saksham nodded and said, "Congratulations Anitha! I have successfully grafted a branch of [Tree of Life] inside you. All I need to do now is give you ways to control it and absorb the [Aura]."

Anitha didn't understand a single word but she still happily nodded and said, "Alright!"

She once again closed her eyes patiently waiting for Saksham to do his thing. Meanwhile, Saksham smiled slightly when he saw Anitha closing her eyes. He said in his head, "Give her the ability to control [Tree of Life]."

"Are you sure you want to use 10 EP?"

"10 EP? Finally, Something cheap!" Saksham sighed with happiness in his heart.

With that, he pressed [Yes] without any hesitation and waited for Anitha to finally digest the information she would be getting next. Meanwhile, he silently calculated the rest of the EP left with him. He used 60 for his [Shadow Clone] and 80 for Anitha. Now, he was left with exactly 60 EP before he bottoms out. Suddenly he felt extremely broke. Just in the morning, he had 200 EP. It hadn't even been a complete day before he was almost broke again. He wanted to curse but he just silently gritted his teeth and decided to go ahead and do the last thing he had planned before leaving for the mission.

He said in his head, "Make the new Hyper Occulus."

"Are You sure you want to use 60 EP?"
