126 A Little Showcase Of Power!

That was an end of a beautiful series of misunderstandings. Saksham didn't dare look that teacher into the eye, and the invigilator felt sad because he felt that Saksham was feeling down due to him laughing so hard at his face. Both of them felt depressed but obviously out for different reasons. As soon as the bell rang, Saksham left the classroom under the unwilling eyes of the Invigilator. Saksham felt the "eyes full of desires" on his back and felt a chill run down his spine.

"Should I report him to the police…" Saksham wondered on his way out.

"What are you thinking?" Anitha suddenly appeared behind him.

Saksham hesitated a little before he said, "....I think…that invigilator took advantage of me…"

Anitha heard this and her eyes widened. She couldn't understand what Saksham was talking about. So, Saksham told her his story of "Suffering from success" or maybe "Got taken advantage due to Handsomeness". When Anitha heard the whole matter, she burst out laughing. Saksham was speechless. Here he was feeling traumatized and Anitha was laughing so hard.

But at this time, Anitha somehow controlled her laughter and said, "First of all, I didn't blush. And I am pretty sure the girl in front of me wasn't blushing either. It's just that we couldn't believe there could be such an ugly face in this world."

Saksham knew the face he made was ugly, but being said like this from Anitha made him depressed. But in all of this, he still couldn't understand the reason for that invigilator's weird behavior. Even after wasting almost all his brain cells, he couldn't find any reason. In the end, he just concluded that Invigilator had a screw loose.

Though even after coming to this conclusion, Saksham didn't feel better. He felt really embarrassed by the face he made. Not just the invigilator laughed at him, even that girl and Anitha laughed at him. He wanted to dig a hole and jump in it.

Seeing Saksham so depressed, Anitha smiled and held his hand silently. Saksham felt a soft hand slip into his and was surprised for a second. He lifted his head and looked at Anitha. Anitha also looked back at him and gave him her sweetest smile. Saksham felt his heart melting with that smile. Unknowingly, his face had also bloomed with a smile of his own. Both of them smiled at each other and walked silently back home.

Along the way, Saksham suddenly remembered what he was going to do that day. He suddenly said, "Anitha, I have something to tell you today."

Anitha looked at Saksham with a puzzled look. Saksham didn't give her a chance to say anything and continued, "This has been my biggest secret that I have hidden from everyone. But today, I lay everything open in front of you."

Anitha unconsciously tightened her grip around Saksham's hand. Saksham also held her hand tighter and said, "I…have superpowers."

Suddenly, it felt as if everything went quiet. Anitha looked at Saksham as if she was waiting for him to say "April Fool!". But seeing him still looking at her seriously, Anitha realized that he was dead serious about it. She opened and closed her mouth but couldn't find any words to speak. She took a few seconds to organize her mind and ask, "What…sort of superpowers?"

Saksham sighed with relief internally as he saw Anitha being really calm at this moment. He said, "I…can actually do a lot of things. I can be called an Unusual among the other people with superpowers or Awakened."

Anitha heard this and silently digested the large amount of information that she got. If Saksham wasn't lying about the superpower matter, then he wasn't the only one who has them. And whoever they are, they are not in small numbers either. Anitha opened her mouth slightly and asked, "Can…you…show me a little bit of your power?"

Saksham knew this question was coming, so he looked around and found a small alley near him. He took Anitha's hand and walked towards the empty alleyway. As soon as they entered the alley, Saksham said, "Hold onto me tightly."

Before Anitha could react, Saksham wrapped his arms around her gently and pulled her as close to his chest as he could. She suddenly heard a small explosion underneath her feet and all of a sudden winds roared past her ears rapidly as they hit her face. Her eyes got teary as she forgot to close them. The next thing her brain processed was a wide-open sky with clouds underneath her feet. She could see dreamlike clouds as well as the small city beneath her. In all this, she didn't realize when a black and aesthetic-looking battle-suit had wrapped around her body as well.

At this time, she looked up and saw Saksham's handsome angular face smiling at her as the sun shone brightly on him, making him seem like an angel. Anitha almost forgot to breathe at that sight. But before she could say anything, she suddenly had a feeling of weightlessness. She realized that…she was freely falling from that high up in the sky. She suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs in terror. Seeing this, Saksham couldn't help but smile. He once again wrapped his arms around her as they slowly fell down on an open wasteland.

Before jumping up, Saksham had decided to put the [Overlord Battle suit] on Anitha so that when he suddenly got so high up in the sky, her body doesn't get crushed to death. The helmet had also covered her head when she was in a daze. But when he reached the highest intended point in the air, the helmet opened back up and went away. That's when Anitha reacted finally.

Now, Saksham controlled his body and landed gently on the empty wasteland. He looked around to see if someone saw them or not. Finding no one, Saksham finally opened his arms and let Anitha stand at her place and scream as loud as she could.

"Uh,..you might wanna open your eyes now, Anitha. " Saksham said as he smiled at Anitha.

Anitha also heard Saksham's word and realized that she was not free falling anymore. She mustered --and feeling the solid land under her feet, Anitha sighed with relief and finally opened both her eyes. As soon as she opened her eyes, the first thing she noticed was that she was somehow wearing a black and shiny battle-suit around her body. A worn-out-looking cape hung from her back. Before she could observe more, It disappeared from her body.

"That…" Anitha looked at Saksham and pointed at herself.

"That's the battle suit that I gave you to wear. It protected your body from the sudden acceleration and the g-force your body would bear. You and I are both Physics students. You know what would have happened to you if you weren't wearing that thing." Saksham explained.

Anitha heard that and nodded. Indeed, she knew how dangerous it was for her. After landing down on her feet, her brain had started to function properly again and she felt terrified, now that she thought about it. If Saksham had not let her wear that Battle-suit or whatever it was, she might have died a horrible death.

Anitha shook her head and looked at Saksham speechlessly. She had hundreds of questions to ask but at the same time, she was not sure how to ask them. So much was spinning in her head at the same time that she felt a little dizzy. Saksham saw her state and immediately came in front of her and held her soft hands. He gently looked into her eyes and comforted her, "It's alright. You don't have to be scared or confused. If you have any questions, you can ask. I will answer them all."

Anitha locked her gaze with Saksham's gentle ones and immediately felt all her panic and confusion settling down. She took a deep breath and asked, "Was that...your superpowers? Flight? And what was that suit?"

"Well, as I said. I can do many things. But basically, I am just super strong. Stronger than most of the people you will come across. As for the upper limit of my powers, well, I don't even know myself. That black suit is something I made myself."

Anitha nodded and asked, "How did you get this superpower?"

Saksham scratched the back of his head and said, "Even I don't know that. One day, I randomly got these powers."

Anitha nodded once again and asked, "Are there others like you?"

Anitha knew the answer but she still wanted to know more. Saksham heard the question and nodded. He said, "There are not just "more" like me. They are basically everywhere but hidden from normal people. You can already imagine the chaos it would ensue had a sight or information of such extra-ordinary people reach normal civilians. This is why the government does everything in its power to keep things like that hidden from people who do not belong to this 'extraordinary world'."

"Every country has their own association which controls these things. Our country has IOEA or the Indian Organization of Extra-Ordinary Affairs. If there is something related to the "Awakened" people, or the people who have Awakened their superpowers, it's IOEA that takes care of it. Be it an evil troublemaker who is using their powers for bad, or a newly Awakened who doesn't know what they should do, IOEA is the one who reaches to catch or help them, depending upon the situation."

Anitha put a hand on her chin as she fell into thought. So, she wasn't wrong. But she didn't think things would be like this. She felt as if she was a frog in the well. But at the same time, everyone else was a frog in a well too. IOEA hid everything so well that normal people could comfortably sleep in their homes with no tension about people with Superpowers.

Anitha suddenly thought of something. She quickly asked with concern, "Is it forbidden to tell about the extraordinary world to a normal person? But you have told me already! Will you be fine? Will IOEA catch you? But they won't know if I won't spread it, right? That's a relief. Don't worry, I will keep it all a secret. You won't be punished either."

Saksham saw Anitha patting her chest in relief and he smiled wryly. He didn't even get to answer any of her questions before she answered it herself and even thought of a solution to her own "problem". But in all of that, Saksham once again realized how cute Anitha could be. He wanted to laugh but he held it in and said, "Don't worry. IOEA won't punish me. Though, it would really be better that you don't tell anyone else. Not because you might be caught by IOEA, but no one would believe you. They will just look at you weird."

Seeing Anitha roll her eyes, Saksham laughed and said, "it is not forbidden to tell other people about it. The bottom line is that it won't create mass panic. If that can be achieved, then it is not really a big problem. In fact, I have had some dealings with IOEA and even worked with them. They are pretty good people."

Anitha finally took a sigh of relief and said, "Alright, I won't tell anyone. It's better that way."

Saksham nodded and said, "So, what else do you want to ask?'

"Why did you suddenly decide to tell me about this?" Anitha asked with a serious face.

"It's because…. Soon, something big is about to happen. And I am still not strong enough to protect everyone. That's why today I decided to tell you about this and to give you a choice to make." Saksham replied with a deep voice.

Anitha was puzzled by the reply. She asked back with a confused look, "Choice? What choice?"

"If I tell you, that I can help you awaken your desired superpower, what would you wish for? What is it that you want?" Saksham asked with a serious face.
