MOON KINGDOM

Mooners Pov: 19 ECLIPSE BEFORE

The mooners residents of the moon had gathered earlier within the moon's hidden chambers surrounded by the Council of Elders, these were known as wise and ancient beings convene to guide the destiny of both earth and moon. When important decisions arise the council gathers in their crystal lit chamber as their voices resonate like distant chimes echoing through moonstone corridors.

"It's almost the 20th eclipse we soon have to arise the new leader of the moon" Nocturna the keeper of Dreams one of the council elders reminded having seen from the future that the prince would never come back.

The mooners looked displeased with that but no one, absolutely no one can question the council's decision even during the residence of the king and Queen they seeked out the council for advise because they believed they knew better and were wise amongst any other.

"Let's not forget, we had the deal with the Suryans, they will only join forces with us if we emerge the new leader it's almost up it's now or never" he added, everyone fell silent because what could they say. The war had took a toll on them the once bright Kingdom of the moon was now darker even the stars were brighter than the moon could say hell looked fine than it.

The council elders could not wait to elect a new leader for the moon people but the residents didn't like the sound of that not that they didn't want a new leader they just didn't want anyone because their late King and queen were one of the kind, they still had a little hope that maybe deep down there they would come back or at least there would be someone from their blood line they wished!

Just as everyone was falling dejected and the new idea was getting finalised one of the mooners spoke up.

"How about we come to conclusion on the 20th eclipse?" everyone looked at him even the elders were abit surprised someone actually spoke up. "Wasn't that the idea, that on the 20th eclipse we would decide the new leader if we dont get any response from the Lunar" that got everyone whispering and chattering because true that was the plan all along but the council couldn't wait any longer yet the eclipse was a few days to happen.

The mooners agreed to that point and turned to look at the elders. One rule about the mooners is that they never turn back on their word they'll keep their promises and this was one of them, all they needed was assurance.

The council discreetly discussed among each other and turned to look at the mooners "Fine the final decision would be made on the 20th eclipse and if there is no hope we elect a new leader and to our liking weather you like or not" it sounded more like a threat than assurance but what could the moon people do, they were hopeless at this point but at least not completely. With a wave of wind and a strong light almost blinding everyone the council elders were gone as everyone walked away to get back to work.

.

.

In the silver-hued craters of the moon, sea of Tranquility the mooners, a mystical race forged from Lunar dust and startlight, built their Lunar heaven veiled from human eyes and unfolds like a celestial sonnet.

The moon kingdom had existed since ancient times and so were the mooners with a lunar civilization. Their homes nestled in craters, domes glinting like dewdrops. The mooners had pale silver skin reflecting starlight absolutely born from stardust. Their wisdom ancient as the craters and know secrets of tides, dreams and forgotten constellation.

It wasn't until everything took a drastic turn that no one not even the council could have seen it comin, a war.

A war with absolute zero knowledge on what your actually fighting back from.

The 'curse' as it was known as, clung like a shadow to it's victims weaving it's malevolent threads through their life. More like a whispered incarnation that echoes in the darkest corners of existence leaving behind a trail of misery and despair.

The war had left a very big impact onto the moon kingdom, the once beauty of the moon and it's ecstasy had been burnt down to ashes and crambling bit by bit.

The crater had jugged trenches, shattered rocks and pockmarked landscape where once pristine regolith lay.

The beautiful cities crumbled the once proud structures reduced to rubble, castles razed and villages erased. Therefore the moon had symbolized both hope and tragedy.

Starting with the tragedy of the unknown death of their one true leaders Mr and Mrs Park who was soon to present them their new prince. Everything was in happiness and harmony they were in peace with everyone, the moon kingdom would never have had any enemies before them, or was it??

Everything happened so fast before anyone could actually make out what was happening, Mrs Park with due struggle to survive tried her best for her unborn baby, she had to keep him safe any other way but it was unfortunate she couldn't make it.

Everyone fought for their survival even though half of the moon people were completely wiped off like someone wanted them to disappear from existence so bad but they fought harder but couldn't make in time to protect their queen to safety.

In devastation, on the war ground the king 'Park' lost his mind over his dead and injured solders and the death of his lovely wife and unborn baby. He faced the troop all by himself though he managed to get half of the soldiers blood on his hand, they were still a lot for him, he was far from victory and so close to defeat. After loosing his wife he lost his soul to dust and he died fighting.

But that wasn't the end of it all....

"He's missing" an unknown resident shouted to his leader who whipped his head around in displease "the prince!" he added making their leader stare at him weirdly "so your saying the baby, ran away" it came out as a complete joke getting everyone laughing but he wasn't.

"She's already dead but her belly is as flat as bread" that shut up everyone "look everywhere for him, dead or alive I want him, the Family Park isn't granted life in my eyes" he shouted as he ordered everyone running here and there to look for him, but in the end they still couldn't find him "he's premature he wouldn't absolutely make it" he scoffed and like that they just walked away leaving everything in stumbles and specks of stardust disappearing into the air.

All the dead mooners were placed together including the Park family but in their special chambers ready to see them off to the stars. In the moon kingdom when their people die they would dissipate into the air from tiny star dust, and their born special shinny objects would eventually turn dark and gloomy to more of a lifeless statue without any glint of light and that is kept as their remains.

.

.

Everything turned lifeless in the moon kingdom even the live people seemed more like lifeless being traumatized in the way they could never have excepted it, but there was something...a secret.

What the invaders didn't know about the moon people is when your born, the moon goddess would shape your character like a statue but it would be bright and glowing. No one knew what happened to the prince but the moon shaped object lay beside it's dead mother absolutely dull and a little glint of glow onto it, it was a miracle they had never seen anything like that before.

They decided to hide it from the eyes of everyone only trusted mooners knew about this and kept the moon statue in it's proper safety in hope that maybe one day it would glow brighter than the moon it'self, it was an assurance.

But the problem was it never glew even after the many eclipse to pass by it remained to it's original dull condition, it was confusing everyone was it even still alive???

And that's not the only problem, after the invasion nothing remained the same, it was dull, dead, dark and hopeless everyone seemed to have gave up eventually but only a few didn't they still had hope the prince would be still alive. This great caused war was named as a curse because it was painful everyday watching every beautiful thing to dark dust and everyday suffering from the loss it was a curse within them, a curse that couldn't be taken away or abolished easily.

One hopeful day, the moon statue glint up, a bright glow that made everything electrifying and shook the moon to it's cores, did the moon goddess accept their prayers?? And then the prophecy was revealed!!.
