Chapter 13: LIFEvDEATH
A claw strike missed and went past Raytoria. It almost hit his head. As for his situation, he looked like a boy ragged tagged by someone. His clothes were quite the damaged one but not torn up, due to it being a weighted clothing.
Aside from that, he had a gashed-up face, so deep into his left jaw. Ever since the start of the sparring with the demonic wolf, he felt nervous, as a normal human on earth, he never had to fight till death there. Everything's new to him here. Thus why, he was quite stiff. Different from the sparring session he had with his adoptive father and senior brother, this sparring was not a friendly one and the fact that the demonic wolf wants to eat him made this much more tense for him.

"Hah!" Raytoria avoided another claw strike from the nimble demonic wolf to the side and then followed a counter attack with a punch to its rib part and then fell back to avoid the demonic wolf's own counter attack.
Thankfully, Raytoria's stamina held up and if he didn't have this stat, he would be long gone tired of just avoiding the attacks of this beast.
Thus, the attack and defense of both Raytoria and demonic wolf continued.

"Master, do you think he'll realize it?" Harden faced his master to the side.
"Hmm… it's his first life and death fight, he just needs to adjust. You know, as a normal human, his strength is far from normal. His speed has already surpassed those stage 5 to 7 foundation fighters. So, I believe he'll learn it soon enough, let's just watch." Maxwell answered.

Within the cage that was as wide as this underground room, only leaving some space for Maxwell and Harden to view Raytoria's fight, both the boy and beast kept on attacking each other like there's no tomorrow. Cuts and broken stones on the ground could be seen, the whole stage was a mess.
Another claw strike along with the two back feet strike from the demonic wolf has made Raytoria surprised. He didn't expect the demonic to do that as to why he was knocked a few meters with some cuts made into his arms.
"Guuuh!!!!" Raytoria roared. He realized that the demonic wolf has been getting advantages over him with surprise attacks while he couldn't get an opening to strike back. "I must end this fast!" He thought.
As soon as he stood up, he felt the beast ran up as fast as it could toward him with its mouth wide open. He just looked at it and within a few moments, he bent his knees a little and used it as a momentum to jump forward, he made a straight punch when he jumped and directed it to the mouth of the beast. He went inside the mouth with great speed as a hole was created from behind the demonic wolf's head.
Raytoria punched through the beast's head. The demonic wolf died afterward.
"Haahhh… Haaah…." Raytoria was gasping for air. All the strength he could muster were put in to that attack. He didn't think of anything and just instinct kicking in.
"I won…." Raytoria smiled. His whole body covered in blood.

After the fight, Maxwell brought Raytoria to his room and healed him using a healing potion. Raytoria drank the whole vial and saw that his cut wounds were healing at a faster rate, he then went back to this room to sleep and rest.
The whole fight actually went for 2 hours only. Would've been a lot faster if Raytoria knew his strength but both Maxwell and Harden didn't say much about it and just praised Raytoria for his victory and provided him insights from his fight.
Raytoria thought of the old times where they record their pvp fights and make improvement from there. Having his adoptive father watch and give him insights was the same thing as he did before. He made note of it and listened carefully to both Maxwell and Harden's words.
As the time goes fast, night time arrived and he was preparing to sleep for next day's training.
A familiar notification rang.
[Hell's Training Day 331 done!]

Raytoria smiled upon seeing it.
