4 CHAPTER 4

" YOU TOOK WHAT ? " Elise whisper yelled as she stared at the boy who stood facing her , a crimson stone resting in his palm .

" The stone ! I am pretty sure , this was what the book meant . " Niall replied , a hint of exclamation playing in his tone .

" Niall , when did you even get it ? " Elise questioned as she shifted the books on her chair to her bed .

Taking a seat , she waited for his answer .

" I don't exactly know when , but I can assure you I got this when whatever that was , was trying to murder me . " Niall replied as he sat on her bed , the mattress melting under him .

" You don't just take things like that . It could be cursed for all we know . " Elise replied , opening the secret chamber she had made for her table , a box full of biscuits in it .

" Yeah , but you don't get to think that much when you are basically trying not to get killed , besides if I leave this somewhere else , we might get cursed for that . "

Niall replied leaning forward to take a biscuit for himself as Elise helped herself .

" Right , but you do know that we are oddly so calm about this . I mean , where did the blood disappear to ? " Elise questioned , her words muffled as she munched onto the biscuit .

" That's right . " The boy replied as he stared down at his shirt .

Now that was creepy . There was not even a single stain on his shirt . Glancing towards Elise's shirt , again , there was no blood on it , just a few crumbs of biscuit that had fallen .

" This is fucking creepy . " Elise spoke as she glared at the stone , the crimson reminding her of the blood that was spilt .

It screamed danger .

" What do you think we should do with this ? " Niall asked as he looked at the stone before glancing back at her .

The girl simply stared at it , before looking away , a frown on her face as she thought about it .

" Maybe we should keep it somewhere safe . " Elise spoke as her eyes met with Niall's , confusion dancing in them .

Elise leaned onto the bedside wall as she searched on her phone . There was absolutely nothing to be found about the book .

" Don't use your phone while charging . " Niall spoke as he walked into the room . It was past nine and here she was , still on her charging phone. "

" It's ok . It's on ten percentage . " She replied , her eyes still glued onto the device , scrolling through the numerous websites trying to find literally anything .

Elise was startled as Niall snatched the phone away her hand , the charger pulled off as he took it away from her .

" I don't want to see you touching this unless above fifty . " He spoke as he plugged the charger near her table .

" I need it ! " She spoke as she crawled off the bed , trying to get past Niall as he guarded the device .

Pinching the boy , she successfully passed him , touching the phone she turned as Niall spoke .

" Want me to call your mom and tell her how long you were on this ? "

" Really ? It's important that we find something about this or should we wait for something else to pop out to murder us ? Elise questioned as she popped an eyebrow , her vision set onto the boy who stood rubbing his arm , the pinched area slightly pink.

" Okay , okay I get it , but just keep the phone away for ten minutes will you ? Niall pleaded as he walked back to the bed , falling onto it face flat .

Keeping the phone back , Elise walked back to bed , the craziest idea in her mind .

" What do you think about sneaking out ? "

" No ! "
