9 Chapter 9: Minor

"The Renowned Clans have places that can increase the speed of one's cultivation. Those students of Renowned Clans are the only ones who are able to reach to Advance-level within 20 years of their age."

Ren Aiguo said, "As for you orphans, you are mostly left behind. Out of 1000 orphans, only one is able to increase their cultivation according to the Magic School Academy's standard."

"So focus on, from where are you going to get resources. Why don't you join any Renowned clan?"

"In Fujio City there are only 2 Renowned Clans: the Chu, and Luo."

"You can join them, they value talent and I am sure they will definitely try their best to recruit you."

"I am not interested."

Gu Jin said.

Ren Aiguo was stunned before showing a small smile, "You are new to all of this, once you face the crisis of no resources, you will leave your this eccentric behavior."

Gu Jin ignored him.

The taxi drove to the airport.

Gu Jin was quite surprised to know that many things in this magic world are similar to the real world.

Throughout the journey, Ren Aiguo babbled.

Soon they reached Fujio City.

Fujio City is a city surrounded by mountains and rough terrain. It was said that the mountains of Fujio City hold mysteries.

Gu Jin got to know many useful information from Ren Aiguo.

Such as Fujio City may look peaceful but that is not the case. Many times monsters from the mountain run rampant in the city.

Once upon a time, this world was ruled by monsters, beasts, and demons. At that time humans had no magic to fight back. Over time humans developed strong bodies that can resist the attack of monsters and beasts. And one day a human was able to awaken Mana.

The Mana was harmless to monsters, beasts, and demons however it was able to repel them. Eventually, many humans were able to awaken Mana and Magical Elements.

It was said that the first Mage of China awakened his first element in Fujio City.

Gu Jin was somewhat curious.

Ren Aiguo drove Gu Jin to Magic School Academy.

When the car stopped, Gu Jin alighted and was dazed by the view in front of her.

In front of her stood huge and wide towers. The towers were joint and had at least occupied an area of 52,000 square feet. All the towers were painted white with transparent glasses.

Gu Jin came out of her daze and went with Ren Aiguo to complete her admission procedure.

On her way, she saw many students in red coats with white inners. They were all giving her strange looks. Other than them Gu Jin saw many students in different colors of coats too.

Some wore blue, black, green, and purple.

Ren Aiguo's voice sounded, "Other than Magic as a major, you have to select a minor too."

Gu Jin asked, "Minor?"

Ren Aiguo nodded, "In minor, you can have Alchemy, Array master, Armament, Magic Seeker, and Magic Awakener."

"There is only a small amount of minors but it is more than enough for now. Mark my word, don't opt for the first three, they require a lot of herbs, metals, and magic stones, you won't be able to afford them."

"You have a year to think about your Minor so take your time."

Gu Jin glanced at him wordlessly.

They went to the front desk to complete her admission process.

Soon she was allotted a room in the dormitory.

Ren Aiguo accompanied her.

When they reached the Girl's dormitory, Ren Aiguo said,

"This is my number call when you are in a problem. Of course, the prerequisite is you are not in a big problem."

"By the way, I have accompanied you till here and guided you so much why don't you tell me what your real Mana is?"

Gu Jin thought and said, "Indigo"

Ren Aiguo was stunned but soon he fell into deep thought.

Gu Jin turned around to enter the Girl's dormitory.
