A different variety?

"Little brother, this isn't going to work on me," Fu Jie answered honestly.

Ah Lu pursed his lips as he heard this straightforward response. There weren't really many people who would be unaffected by this boy's charm. 

In fact, even Ah Bai wasn't as good as him when it came to acting innocent and guilt-tripping people. 

Fu Jie sighed as he looked over at Ah Bai and asked, "What happens if I say no and go back right now?"

Ah Bai suddenly broke out into a smile as she answered, "You can't" 

"What?" Fu Jie looked at her with suspicion.

"Martial Brother Xia, do you really think you can get out of here that easily?" Ah Bai asked and without waiting for the man to continue, she added, "The opening of the cave has already been closed." 

Fu Jie's eyes widened slightly as he heard this and he was stunned to a point where he no longer knew what he was supposed to say to that.
