Returning Back

As soon as he stepped through the door, his eyes darkened again and for a moment he seemed to step into the void, but the next second he found himself in his familiar home.

"Am I back home?" he asked, looking around in surprise.

He turned his head to see his messy room, if it wasn't for the clothes he was wearing he would have thought he was dreaming.

His clothes were the ones that Trader Halt had given him, and the bag of gold he took out of his pocket was tangible proof that what he was experiencing was real.

"Oh my God, have I traveled between worlds?"

Ideas and possibilities flashed through his head as he looked down at his hands, which were trembling with shock and excitement.

Looking at the gold in the pouch, Luck got up excitedly and entered the open door of his room without touching it and started to wear sports clothes.

"First of all, I should try to sell this gold"

After putting on his everyday clothes, he stood nervously in front of the door of the house. He was afraid that if he touched the door he would go to the other world again.

"The brave die once, the coward a thousand times." He swung the door open and walked out.

Luck, realizing he was still in his world, shouted with joy. "I made it out!"

When he realized that his next-door neighbor was looking at him and his child with strange expressions, he lowered his head and walked away in embarrassment.

"Did you see him?" The woman pointed with her head at Luck who was walking away.

"If you play games all the time, you'll end up like him. Someone who considers going out the door a success!"

Unaware of the neighbor's talk about him, Luck took quick steps outside to go to the covered bazaar and jumped into the first minibus and went to the covered bazaar.

Nervously entering the door of the first jewelry store that caught his attention, Luck was relieved when he realized that he was still in the jewelry store without any change.

"Hello, how can I help you?" said the woman behind the counter.

"Hello, I have some gold coins, I want to sell them."

He took 2 gold coins out of his pocket and put them on the counter.

The woman took the 2 gold coins in her hand and her eyes lit up with interest.

"These are really interesting things." The woman took the gold coins one by one and examined them.

Pointing to the dragon designs on the gold coins, she said, "They are beautifully handcrafted, and they are all identical."

Looking up at Luck, the woman said, "Do you want to sell these?"

"Yes, how much are they worth?" he asked curiously.

"Let's see." The woman put the gold coins on the scales and weighed them.

"Two ounces totaling 20 grams, worth 30,000 federation dollars."

Luck's heart leaped with excitement as $30,000 was worth 3 months of work in a situation where the minimum wage was $12,000.

30.000, agreed..."

The woman behind the counter interrupted Luck, "But where did you get these? I don't want to get in trouble if they're stolen."

"No, no, they're not stolen. You can check them all you want."

"Then excuse me" The woman, who had spent a few minutes at the computer after taking pictures of the gold coins, was smiling when she came back.

"Excuse me, I wanted to get confirmation from a policeman I know because stolen gold coins are often sold in jewelry stores. There are no reports of theft for these coins."

Luck smiled confidently, knowing that there was no way gold from another world could be stolen.

"I told you so."

"Yes, you are right. The engravings on the gold are so beautiful, I can sell it to collectors at a higher price, so I will pay you 32,000 dollars."

Luck made the sale with his credentials and left the jewelry store with a big smile on his face.

"I need to buy spices." Having had the pleasure of making money, Luck began to crave more.

He had paid 80 silver for a few grams of salt, which, according to his calculations, amounted to 12 thousand dollars.

"Oh my God, I must be the only sucker to pay that much for a few grams of salt."

Seeing a shopping mall on his way home, luck had an idea and entered the mall.

With the confidence of $32,000 in his pocket, he began to browse the shelves of various spices.

"Oh my God." Luck looked at the pound of salt in his hand and chuckled at the thought of the profits he could make.

"A kilo of salt is a hundred dollars, how much gold can I make with that?"

"A kilo of black pepper 200 dollars hahahah."

He started throwing all kinds of spices into the shopping cart. Each packet of spices was like jingling gold in his eyes.

Thinking he had enough spices for now, Luck bought some meat and a bottle of wine to surprise his mother when she came home.

'You have a right to be happy, Mom'

After arriving home, he marinated the meat he had bought and started cooking it.

After the meat was cooked, he prepared the dining table and waited for a while, then he heard the click of keys coming from the door.

"What is that smell?" hisr mother asked, smelling it even from outside the door.

"A little surprise for you."

"Surprise?"

"Ta-da" Luck, with a big smile on his face, gestured to the table he had set.

"What the f*ck did you do?" his mother asked, squinting her eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"You don't kiss a*s like that unless you've done shit. Tell me what did you do?"

"Nothing, I swear, I just wanted to surprise you." He threw his hands up in the air to show his innocence.

Seeing Luck's expression, his mother calmed down for a moment, but then she saw the expensive wine on the table.

"What the f*ck did you do? Where did you get the money to buy these?" she asked, pointing to the wine.

Luck realized that his mother was pointing at the expensive wine and understood her anger.

"I won it at the game, Mom."

"You won in the game?" his mother asked skeptically.

"Yes, Mom, I won a tournament in the game and I might even make a professional team soon."

Since his mother would not believe that he could earn money in any other way at the moment, he told the lie he thought was most convenient.

"You're not lying, are you?"

"No, mom, I'm telling the truth."

A smile appeared on the face of his mother who believed in Luck. "I guess those games finally paid off, hahaha."

He pulled the chair for his mother to sit.

"I'm going to make money too from now on, mom."

"Don't rely on games though, try to get a normal job Luck."

For the rest of the night, mother and son chatted as they enjoyed their meal.

When he gave $25,000 of his winnings to his mother, she could not hold back her tears. It was not easy to run a household and take care of her other son who was studying at university in another city.

Luck retired to his room while his mother washed the dishes and began planning for the next day.

At first, he was afraid to go to Gliese when he opened the door, but now he was afraid not to go to Gliese.

The next day, when his mother left for work after breakfast, he changed his clothes again.

he filled his backpack with bags of spices. As he thought about what he could sell in Gliese if he went, his wardrobe caught his eye.

"Clothes!" He palmed his forehead as he remembered that the first thing he had ever sold was a piece of clothing.

His bag bulged as he opened his wardrobe and put the few pants and shirts he found in his bag.

Synchronizing the time on his wrist with the clock on the wall, Luck put his hand on the doorknob, opened the door, and stepped through.

He walked through the door without the blackout he'd expected and without the sensation of stepping into a void.

"Fuck, don't tell me I can't go to Gliese anymore!"

He slammed the door shut with a huff.

"I have to go to Gliese." He opened the door and passed through it again.

This time, following the blackout, he seemed to step into the void for a moment. When he opened his eyes, he was in the other world again.

"I did it!"
