7 Chapter 7

It's been 11 months since I arrived at the camp. I am the last and the only recruit left. My fellow recruits have all graduated and been transferred to military bases. During those 11 months, I didn't slack off; Arthur Armstrong, my personal drill instructor, trained me with various types of guns and combat experience, where I was able to defeat a ten-man staff sergeant with hand-to-hand combat using my martial arts; Arthur Armstrong is 41 years old, by the way. Command Sergeant Major Nicostrato Cocci is my second drill instructor. He is an Air Force drill instructor. I've only leaped over 100 times from altitudes ranging from 15,000 feet (4,600 m) to 35,000 feet (11,000 m). 'HALO' jump. My maximum height so far is 35,500 ft. I leaped at night with Command Sergeant Major Nicostrato Cocci. It's dangerous to jump 35,500 feet at night, but we have all of our equipment, including night-vision goggles, and it's the most incredible thing I've ever done in my life.

I slowly opened my eyes and stretched out my whole body. I got out of bed and dressed. I was clad in my camo uniform. I still don't have a badge, but I'll get one if I pass the S.A.S. test. As I glanced at my watch, it was 4:00 a.m. I put on my boots and then went out to start jogging. I jogged around the entire camp five times, sweating. After that, I went to the headquarters to get my breakfast. I ate my meal in the under of a tree, and I was the only one there. After finishing my meal and taking a 5-minute break, I went to the showers and washed my sweaty body.

When I was done, I changed into my other uniform and walked towards the stations, where Arthur Armstrong was waiting to see my performance. I waited about ten minutes for my drill coach to come. "So, the S.A.S. exam is coming up next month. You should take advantage of this chance. Your training is easy, "Arthur said this while writing in his report book. "Well, this is different," I replied as I held the black gun.

"That is UCIW CALIBRE 5.56x45mm NATO, WEIGHT 6.25lbs/2.8kg, BARREL LENGTH 7"/17.78cm, LENGTH 22 "/55.8cm (stock collapsed), RATE OF FIRE Semi-auto; select-fire 600 rpm (+/-100 rpm), SIGHTS LWRCI flip-up front and rear back up iron sights, MAGAZINE Magpul 30 rd P-Mag or any standard M16/M4 magazines, and MUZZLE DEVICE A2 flash hider 5.56-1/2-28 TPI, "Arthur said as he examined the text.

I grinned and aimed the gun at the target. I took a deep breath and fired; after a second, the ammunition was out, and I put the UCIW on the table and stared at the target. "You sure are talented with every gun," Arthur said as he examined the target and scribbled on the report paper. I didn't miss a single shot, and all of them were in the middle, 9, and 8.

Following that, I took the other gun and checked it while asking my drill instructor what it was.

"That is MAC 10 Maximum firing range: 100 meters, and Effective firing range: 50 meters (.45 ACP); 70 meters (9×19mm Parabellum) "Arthur said as he read from the paper.

I aimed at the new target and set the distance to 50 meters. I slowed my breathing and began shooting. It's 52 rounds long, and it's going to get longer. I put the gun down on the table and stared at my target after it had been a big hole. "Hmm... I like this MAC 10 and UCIW; do S.A.S gift them to me?" I questioned as I refilled both magazines.

"It said 'Yes,' in this letter, so I think both of them are yours now," Arthur said as he tapped my shoulder.

"So, let's get started with the training. Sir, there is no time to lose!" I said this when sprinting to the mud, walls, ropes, and various types of firing ranges, each with its own set of weapons.

Arthur had already begun his timer. Drill Sergeant stopped the timer after I finished and rushed in front of him, standing upright. "45 seconds and 100 points from the shooting range, well, I would tell you're getting better by the day," Arthur said as he tapped my shoulder.

After that, I went to the bathroom to get rid of the dirt on my body. After that, I told Arthur that I was going to the Air Force Base to fly with a fighter aircraft—an F-22 Raptor air superiority fighter. Then Arthur said I should go, I went outside to the helicopters. I choose the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. I summoned a staff sergeant to accompany me on the Blackhawk flight.

About an hour, we arrived at the Air Force Base and landed on the helicopter pad. My Drill instructor greeted me. We exchanged salutes, and he took me to the warehouse where the F-22 Raptor was resting. We spoke for 10 minutes before getting equipped for 5 minutes. I arrived at my F-22, as well as my drill instructor. I was in the opposite lane, as was my drill instructor.

"Radar Contact"

"Climb and maintain fifty thousand"

"Clear for take-off"

"Thank you"

I fully trust and gaining speed at an astonishing speed. After I was ready to take off, I pulled my controller and safely got into the air. Before going higher, I waited for my drill instructor to line up beside me. My drill teacher nodded and gave me a thumbs-up as we pulled up and flew higher. We've reached 45,367 feet and have planned to keep there. We'll both be landing in France and returning the next day. We arrived at a French Air Force base after an hour. It was also at night and I also got to see the Eiffel Tower.

Major Salvatore Borroni welcomed us.
