7 Orphanage Anniversary

"My goal is to reach level 3A strength"

"Do you know how many 3A strongman do we have in the entire Odin?"

"How many?"

"Two. Lord Consul and Commander Chen Sha"

Lorraine was stunned. Chen Sha was one of the only two 3A strongman and he just told her yesterday to reach to that level?!

Lorraine cut off video call with Feng Lin and blankly walked to the kitchen.

Alicata orphanage was first established during the war conflict. Its noteworthiness was that You Beichen, the first Consul of Odin Federation grew up there.

The current Consul of Odin federation was not always at Alicata. Since Princess Lorraine married to Commander of Odin Federal Military, their couple sometimes had to be the representative in social charity instead.

The orphanage was surrounded by mountains and rivers with beautiful scenery.   

The celebration was held at the grass garden in front of the auditorium. No media was invited. Interviews and video recordings were prohibited as per Chen Sha demanded. 

The old dean gave a speech about the history of the orphanage and thanked the government for its continuous support to the orphanage.   

Chen Sha delivered a brief speech on behalf of the federal government, wishing the children to grow up healthily and become the pillars of the federal government. Children below listened seriously with earnest faces.   

Lorraine felt that Chen Sha was like a gentler version of a commander and the children were like miniature version of the federal military. Neither of them noticed any problems. All were very serious and became more and more hilarious.   

If Chen Sha had a child of his own, would he still do the unsmiling training soldier-like manner?

Wouldn't that be producing the miniature unsmiling version of Chen Sha?   

Two icebergs, one big, one small, together their mother would not need to turn on the air conditioner at all.   

Lorraine imagined that weird picture and couldn't help laughing.

After Chen Sha finished speaking, he looked around just to see Lorraine beaming smile among a bunch of kids. He couldn't help stunning for a moment. She was like a weed simply growing from a crevice of a rock in pleasant.

Lorraine gracefully stepped onto the stage, make one good common curtsey, beaming smile and said to the children: "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to meet you. It's my first time here and I've made some candies and cakes. Hope you all like it. Everyone please queues up and pick yourself your favorite color and shape. Each of you will get a bag. If you want other colors or shapes, you can exchange it with your friends."   

Qing Yue and Qing Chu commanded several robots to lift out several large baskets of candies standing on the grass. Each robot is responsible for a basket of candies. They wear clothes that printed the colors and shape of the candies, so it would be easy for children to decide which one they want and where to line up.   

Kids looking around and found that there were animals and flower candies that little girl like, as well as gun and battleship candies for boys. With excitement, they couldn't hold their serious face anymore. All looked at the old dean expectantly.   

The old dean smiled and said, "The ceremony is over." Everyone cheered and spread around to pick their favorite sweets. When they discovered that there were lucky eggs hidden in the gift bag, they threw them to the ground while laughing and screaming excitedly, changed a training field into a playground.

With satisfaction, Lorraine thought, this was more like a child. That she didn't waste her painstaking effort to prepare gifts.   

She currently had no income, and she had no gut to ask Chen Sha's money to do her favor. So she could only put more effort and time in it. Qing Yue, Qing Chu, and the two robots in the house were head spinning working by her. They spent three consecutive nights to prepare all the gifts.

The old dean led Lorraine and Chen Sha tour around the orphanage.   

Lorraine saw many people wearing military uniforms coming in and out, as if feel like they had entered a small military base.

The old dean explained: "Because the orphanage was first established and funded by the military, and has always been partially under military management. That's why children have strong bond with the military. When they grow up, many of them will join the military. Until they earn income, they will return to fund the orphanage, generation after generation, forming an imperceptible tradition. Today is a special day. Those grown children would definitely come home and have a look."

So this was it! Lorraine suddenly realized.   

On a rising sun hillside playground, a group of children were playing warship game.   

They were obviously different from other children. Some have strange ears and noses, some had hairy tails, and one child had green skin.   

Chen Sha's eyes suddenly became sharp. He asked displeased: "Why I didn't see these children at the ceremony?"   

The old dean hurriedly explained: "Because of genetic mutations, their immune systems are unstable. Doctors advised not to let them go to crowded places and their daily outdoor activities are limited."   

Chen Sha looked at the group of children, and remembered something: "I have signed and approved the orphanage's application to visit the military base. Remember to let these children come as well."   

"But their bodies..."   

"I will have the military doctors communicate with their doctors in advance and make all arrangements properly."   

The old dean suddenly smiled: "Great! Actually, every time we do such an activity, we can't let them go. They are sad, and we are also sad."   

Suddenly, children rang melodious cheers. It turned out that an 'enemy battleship' hidden in the bushes was found by them.   

It turned out to be Qian Xu. He raised his hands in surrender. The children laughed and pounced to him, all of them rolled into a ball on the grass.   

Lorraine frightened and suddenly hid behind Chen Sha. He looked back at her puzzled.
