450 Patiently Waiting

Carter was standing and staring out over the oasis. He was quiet and looked a little withdrawn. He just came out for a little bit of fresh air. He had not left the temple much since bringing Tuya back up here and placing her in her room. She had not woken yet and it had nearly been a week. 

She was alive, and she felt alright, but she had not woken. Half the time he found himself pacing the room and stopping every single time that she took a deep breath or thought that she moved. Carter hadn't fed much and couldn't eat anything. The others had offered him substance as he did not want to take from Tuya. Vintas and Portia were the first there every morning and a few times throughout the day checking on him.
