Animal meat

Darkness descended upon me like a suffocating shroud, blotting out all light and sound. I felt myself sinking deeper and deeper into its icy embrace, until I was completely immersed in its inky depths.

From somewhere distant, a weary voice whispered: "Run away."

I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. I was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or even breathe.

"Run away from whom?" I finally managed to gasp.

"From yourself," the voice replied, its sadness echoing through the darkness.

Suddenly, flames erupted around me, their scorching heat igniting my panic. I screamed in terror as the flames danced and writhed, consuming everything in their path.

I felt my skin blistering and my hair singeing. I struggled against my invisible bonds, but they held fast.

I was trapped, surrounded by flames and darkness.

Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the fire was gone. I opened my eyes, gasping for breath. I found myself bound to a chair in a vast, empty chamber.

Darkness enveloped me, suffocating and oppressive. My senses were assaulted by a strange and nauseating odor, but the impenetrable blackness prevented me from identifying its source.

Suddenly, a door creaked open and a figure stepped through, carrying a flaming torch. The flickering light revealed a boy dressed in Berber clothing, his body slender and agile. His head, however, was that of a hyena, its snarling maw and razor-sharp teeth instilling a wave of terror within me.

"Where are the jewels, boy?" he demanded in a guttural voice.

My mind raced, searching for a way to escape. I glanced around the room and saw the others, hanging lifeless from the poles. Their mutilated bodies testified to the horrific torture they had endured.

The boy with the hyena head approached me, his torch illuminating the mutilated corpses. I felt a strange sensation, as if my own life force was draining away.

"I searched and didn't find anything on you," he said, his voice dripping with disappointment

I glared at the hyena-headed boy with all the anger and disgust I could muster. His hyena head cackled maliciously, its yellow eyes gleaming with bloodlust.

"Did you really kill all those people just for a few damned gems?" I spat.

The boy chuckled, his laughter echoing through the chamber like the sound of bones rattling.

"Not just for the gems," he said in a voice that was both human and animal. "For the meat as well. animal flesh is the most delicious and exquisite meat of all."

I recoiled in horror, my stomach churning.

The boy leaned in close, his hyena head filling my vision. His breath was hot and fetid, and I could smell the coppery tang of blood on his lips.

"What is the difference between regular animal meat and the meat of rational animals?" "Rational animals are more intelligent and complex than regular animals," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "And that makes their meat all the more delicious."

I felt a wave of nausea wash over me, and I had to fight the urge to vomit. This hyena-headed boy was a monster, a creature who had no regard for life. He was the embodiment of pure evil.

The hyena-headed boy snarled, his yellow eyes gleaming with malice. He leaned in close, his foul breath washing over me.

"You'll be joining these fools now," he hissed. "I'm famished. I'd love to taste your sweet flesh."

I recoiled in disgust, my stomach churning. I could see the hunger in his eyes, the anticipation of tearing into my flesh.

I knew that I had to act quickly. I needed to find a way to escape, or I would be his next meal.

I closed my eyes and concentrated. I focused all of my energy on slowing down time.

The world around me began to slow to a crawl. Everything moved in slow motion, like a dream.

I opened my eyes and saw the hyena-headed boy standing before me, frozen in time. He was a grotesque sight, his hyena head twisted into a snarl of hunger.

I took a deep breath and gathered my strength. I whispered a single word:

"Scream!"

A piercing scream erupted from my lips, creating a sonic shockwave that shattered the silence. The hyena-headed boy was caught off guard, and the full force of the scream hit his face.

His skin began to tear, and his eyes widened in pain. The dagger in his hand fell to the ground.

I saw my chance and took it.

I leapt into the air, carrying the chair with me. I twisted my body in mid-air and positioned the chair under me. I landed with a thunderous crash, shattering the chair into a million pieces.

I rolled to my feet and snatched up the dagger. I cut the rope that bound me with a single swift stroke.

The hyena-headed boy collapsed to the ground, his face a bloody mess. He was still alive, but he was no longer a threat.
