"If Mr. Marino leaves me after 26 days, I want to move on," Eliana looked at her lap, her hands fumbling with the fabric of her dress.

"This... This is too painful. I feel like my heart is bleeding. I don't want to love anyone ever again, but I don't want to keep hurting either. So do me a favor and take me to your kingdom," Elliana whispered, shocking Nathaniel once again.

He couldn't believe that the girl who was always afraid of a place full of witches because she felt like no one would accept her, would readily say such words.

"Do you even understand what you are saying? If you came to the mountains with me, it means forever away from Sebastian," Nathaniel said, hoping that she would understand where she was leading herself.
