Chapter-25 Pictures?

It was awkward. Elliana had never guessed her classes would be this awkward. She felt like she was some kind of animal on display in a zoo. Everyone was gazing at her with interest, and the more they looked at her, the more awkward she became.

She was used to people staring at her. Even if she wasn't popular and often bullied in school. Thanks to Madeline, she had her fair share of people staring at her. It was not new, but maybe it was happening after so long that it made her nervous and awkward.

Besides, in school, when people used to stare at her, it would usually be followed by bullying. So she didn't want any of that to happen here too.

The three lectures were like trauma sessions for her, and she had to clench and unclench her fists multiple times to keep her heartbeat normal since the vampires could hear her.

After the bell rang, Elliana stood from her place and was about to leave when her phone pinged with an incoming message.

It was a message from MMMH. She smiled inwardly. Elliana had changed the name Mr. Marino My Husband to MMMH so that no one suspects anything, even if they get her phone.

[How is college going?] The message said, and though it was nothing adorable and just a general question, Elliana still felt warm in her heart.

"It's going well. Thank you for asking," Elliana hurriedly typed back and waited for his reply anxiously with a big goofy smile on her face, unaware that her smile was attracting more attention from the onlookers, which included her classmates and their friends who had arrived to see them.

[Why are you using your phone? Aren't you supposed to be studying? Are you bunking already? Don't be naughty.] The reply came.

Elliana -"..." She looked at the message repeatedly with a pout.

Wasn't she supposed to reply?

"The bell rang already. I am heading for lunch," Elliana messaged before stuffing her phone in the purse and finally looking around at everyone who was looking at her, more like staring at her.

She passed everyone a small smile before descending the stairs.

The news about a new beauty in the university was already spreading in other departments like wildfire, and everyone waited for her photo to be uploaded on the University student forum.

Her side profile was already uploaded by a student, and everyone was waiting for her full picture.

However, none of them wanted to take her picture without permission since it might land them in serious trouble according to the University's laws.

Now the question was, who would go to her and ask about her pictures?

When they noticed Elliana was leaving, one of the vampire girls, who was a little confident since she only had to persuade a human, walked hurriedly when her friends probed her.

She ran so fast that she stumbled on the crowd and accidentally pushed Elliana forward.

Elliana's eyes widened when she felt her body falling forward, and she placed her hands in front of her face instinctively.

Has the bullying already started? But she didn't even do anything. It would be the same everywhere for her, no? No matter how calm she pretends to be, people would bully her, no? These thoughts immediately ran inside her head.

When she didn't feel any pain in her body even after a few seconds passed and felt someone holding her waist and close to their body as their breath fanned her head, she opened her eyes hurriedly.

Elliana's eyes went wide as she looked into the unfamiliar amber eyes that were searching her face as if trying to find something.

"I am sorry, girl. I just wanted to stop you, I swear, because I wanted a picture- "The vampire girl stopped when her eyes met Daniel's cold ones.

"Are you okay?" Alcinder, still holding Elliana close to his body, asked, and Elliana came out of her thoughts before pushing herself away.

"Thank you for saving me just now," Elliana's cheeks were red from embarrassment, and Daniel looked at her face with sheer curiosity.

Even Alcinder couldn't deny that this girl had some kind of aura that makes people want to protect her.

He was around ten meters away when he saw her falling. He doesn't know what it was. The way she closed her eyes and placed her hands in front of her face as if she accepted her fate and knew something like this would happen to her evoked a feeling of protectiveness in him.

"It's okay. Be careful," Alcinder looked at the girl one last time and started walking ahead while Daniel looked at her with a lingering gaze.

Elliana looked at the boys who left and looked like the typical bad boys of the university and sighed in relief.

That was a close call. Mr. Marino clearly told her to stay away from trouble and not be mischievous. She will have to be mindful of her image and these boys. The way everyone bowed as soon as they stopped near her only meant they were powerful and held some kind of significance in this University.

"Hey, I am sorry about earlier," the vampire girl caught Elliana's attention, and the latter smiled.

"That's completely fine. It can happen to anyone," Elliana said, not wanting to fuss about it anymore, and the girl looked at her with a grateful smile.

All humans weren't like these. There was a reason why humans and vampires don't interact much here. The main reason was that humans here liked to play the victim card most of the time, and every time a vampire was caught hurting humans intentionally or unintentionally, their credits were deducted.

Just like human world Universities, these credits were crucial for vampire students, since they decide their final marks and position and the kind of job they would be getting.

Apart from their supernatural powers, everything was similar to the human world.

"So, can I get a picture of you? It's for the school University forum. Your picture will be displayed for the voting, and if you win, you will be crowned as the campus belle of the year at the fresher's party," the girl explained a little since this human didn't look repelling and had a good attitude.

"Umm...will it bring me trouble?" Elliana asked innocently, and the vampire's heart melted at her expression.

"Of course not. What are we here for? We won't let anyone bully our classmate," The girl spouted before thinking twice, not only shocking others, but herself too.

Blue, who had been spying on the princess and noticing all the events, shook her head in sheer amusement.

This is what we call Elliana's effect. She doesn't even know how effortlessly she evokes this protective feeling in everyone.

"Thank you. Umm... How do you want the picture to be? Do you mind taking it with me?" Elliana asked, and the girl clapped her hands.

"Girls!" She shouted and soon her friends rushed to her.

According to their directions, Elliana went inside the class and stood near the window with a slight wind blowing her hair smoothly and curtains moving along with it.

Faint sunlight basked her in its beauty and warmth, making her look even more beautiful as her eyes looked even lighter than before.

"We want our department to win this," The vampire girl said before she took a few pictures of her, two standalone and three with the group and herself.

Once she was done, she showed Elliana her work, and Elliana smiled.

"Can you send me these photos?" Elliana thought of showing them to Sebastian, and the girl nodded.

"I am Melony, by the way,"

"Elliana," Elliana said, and once they exchanged the numbers and Melony sent her photos, Elliana started walking to the backyard garden to eat her lunch in peace.

She was contemplating if she should send the photos to the prince now or show them to him in person. With a soft smile on her face, she sat on the bench near the forest and took out her bento box with utmost care.

Since there were not many people in the backyard garden, she could eat her food in peace, and that's all she needed after her awkward day.

As soon as she opened her box, she smelt the heavenly smell of the chef's cooking and smiled with happiness, excited to try it as her stomach grumbled with hunger. She clapped her hands before closing her eyes and thanking god for the food.

She took out one potato nugget and dipped it in cheese before stuffing it in her mouth.

"I didn't know people still bring lunch boxes to colleges," she heard a mocking voice and turned around with her mouthful.

Daniel and his friends were standing there, along with the boy who saved her, and she looked at them, unsure of what they wanted. Were they here to bully her? Don't boys like them like that?

The guys looked at the girl whose mouth was full, looking back at them, and didn't know what to say anymore.

Elliana quickly ate the food in her mouth before wiping her lips like a lady.

"Would you like to have some?" She asked Daniel in particular, since he helped her in the morning and because she didn't want to get on their wrong side, and the latter found himself in a compromising situation again.

This girl! She is doing it again! She is using her cuteness to trap him! Daniel growled in his head, nodding nonetheless, and his friends looked at him with raised brows.

However, he wasn't the only one who found himself unable to deny it.

"Won't you invite me? I have helped you too. I saved you from planting your face on the ground in the hallways, remember?" Alcinder's voice almost sounded like he was whining, and Elliana looked at her bento box with displeasure.

It wasn't enough food to share with everyone, and she would end up staying hungry. She looked between the boys and her lunch with a pout.

She didn't need to voice out her thoughts. Anyone could see what was going inside her head and they didn't know if they should be angry since she was disrespecting them or should they find her cute. Was she seriously worrying over a lunch box rather than the dangerous vampires who were asking to join her?

Seeing her still contemplating, Alcinder finally gave up and sighed.

"We will buy you more food. Whatever you want," Alcinder didn't even know why he was doing this, and Alex and others looked at him in shock.

He never offers to buy them anything. And he was ready to buy food for this new girl, who was a human?

"Umm... Okay," Elliana said after a long time, as if it was still a tough decision, and Blue sighed in helplessness.

The princess was clueless, wasn't she?
