287 Without The Mask

Evelyn didn't know what she should say for a moment.

She cleared her throat seeing that Regan was getting angry again and smiled nervously as she said

"I was just joking."

"You better be. I won't talk to you if you did such a thing again."

That was again a lie but seeing how Evelyn believed him Regan let it stay like that. She should know that he loves her but she should not know how she had him wrapped around her fingers.

He could cherish her silently.

Around fifteen minutes later, both of them were seated on the bed and Evelyn was in his arms as both of them read a book that was held by Regan.

Contrary to how Regan was focused in the book, Evelyn was still thinking about the books she had read the whole day.

A sudden gentle kiss fell on her temple and she heard Regan's deep voice.

"This place seems a good place to stay. I wish to know what goes inside there all day."

Evelyn blushed as she imagined Regan knowing her thoughts.
