143 The Uncomfortable Touch

After that day, Oliver noticed that Evelyn was unusually silent. She smiled but her smile was not that bright.

Initially, he thought that it was because of the weakness she was feeling in her body because of the fever. But as a few days passed, Oliver realized that something was wrong.

He had actually tried to ask her but she didn't tell him anything.

Oliver's exam was near so he was busier with his studies. He spent more time in the library and hence he also couldn't spend more time with Evelyn now. He could only let her promise him that if something happens she would tell him.

Evelyn promised him but she didn't fulfill the promise.

It was evening.

Gianna and Cooper had gone out to look at the fields and Oliver had gone to the library. Hence, Evelyn was alone inside the room.
