59 Chapter 59: Deadpool the face surgeon
After Deadpool had picked up his gear, he walked over to Wolverine's body and stood right above his head looking down on the expression on Wolverine's face.
"Don't worry, I won't end you right now, there are lots of people who want to see you alive and well, so that they can see your pretty face when you realise that someone from DC is doing your daughter." Deadpool said mysteriously.
Wolverine knew that Deadpool had a few screws loose. But the fact that Deadpool knew that he had a daughter worried him.
But Wolverine found relief in the fact that Deadpool thought Laura was in DC. She hates big cities, at most she'll stay in low-key small towns.
"What do you want." Wolverine said in a growl.
"Ah, you haven't spoken to me in so long, that I forgot that you know how to use your mouth other than growling." Deadpool said in shock.
Suddenly as if he had realised something very good he started speaking in excitement.
"Let's put your mouth to good use!" He said as he put the barrel of his gun in Wolverine's mouth.
Seeing the scary look on Wolverine's face, Deadpool felt slightly sorry, after all, he had taken a real liking to Wolverine.
"Let's remove that frown from your face, you're way cuter when you smile." Deadpool said very lovingly, and then pulled the trigger.
Seeing Wolverine fall to the ground, Deadpool noticed that he still had a frown.
"BANG BANG" the trigger was pulled two more times.
"That's better, now you're pretty enough to get any straight man curved." Deadpool said as he looked at the gore of a face of Wolverine.
"Some people harvest organs to sell on the black market... I harvest adamantium skeletons to sell on the black market!" Deadpool said as he walked towards Wolverine. But suddenly he stopped in his tracks as if he had realised something.
"AHH right... I shouldn't do something illegal when there are witnesses." Deadpool said mysteriously.
"What a pity!" He said as he looked at all the free money laying inside Wolverine.
"BANG! BANG!" Deadpool shot another two bullets out of frustration, but this time it wasn't aimed at the face of Wolverine.
"Since I can't get rich, you shouldn't have any valuables either!" Deadpool said in bitterness as he looked at the destroyed jewels of Wolverine.
As Superman was flying a felt his magic ring that he received from DR. Strange, vibrate. it was sending a signal that soon, Dr. strange would open a portal.
Superman landed in the middle of nowhere and waited for a minute before a golden portal opened up.
Seeing the face of Dr. Strange, Superman flew through the portal.
A few hours later, the atmosphere was serious as Dr. Strange, Reed, Dr.Banner and black Widow sat around on sofas as they spoke with Superman.
"Didn't you say that it would take longer?" Superman asked.
"It was just an estimation, I had a breakthrough. The device is done, however there's a problem." Reed exclaimed as he held onto two similar looking devices.
"Each of these needs to be right above the north and south pole, and at exactly the same length from earth, and started at exactly the same time."
Reed explained how the devices would work.
"And what will they do?"
"They'll work as super EMP, resetting all electronics on earth. The cost of that is that all data will be lost however the price is worth it in contrast to continuing living under Ultron's rule." Reed said.
"All the data will be lost? Do you understand the consequences of that?" Superman asked, making sure they knew what they were doing.
"Yes, all data we have on every single person will disappear. All records of criminal activity, all scientific data, all medical data,.. everything will disappear and the digital world economy will cease to exist..." Black widow said as if they had gone through all the outcomes of this.
"I see.. and you're willing to do this..." Superman whispered to himself. He himself didn't know a better way.
"It's not that we are willing, it's that there isn't another way." Reed said, hearing Superman's whisper.
"Fine, then I'm assuming that Captain Marvel is the one that will go to space with me? Where is she?" Superman said as he realized that he hadn't seen her since he returned.
"About a month or two after you disappeared she said that something important came up, so she just flew into space... We haven't seen her since." Black Widow said, not liking that she didn't know something.
"Don't worry, I'll cast a spell and teleport to both you and me to the exact spots we need to be in... the question is, how will we start the devices at exactly the same time?" Dr strange said.
"You don't need to think about that, as soon as we're in our locations, just press it whenever you're ready, and I'll press it at the same time." Superman said.
"You don't understand, it needs to be exactly at the same time, the two electrical pulses must meet at exactly the center of earth for them to have the right effect! You only have an error window of 0.000000000000000001 seconds. and if you do it wrong then the devices will be bust." Bruce Banner explained.
"Still, I can do it, leave it to me." Superman said confidently.
"Let's not waste any time then, are you sure that the devices are ready?" Dr. Strange asked the smart people.
"As sure as you are that the sun will rise tomorrow." Reed answered.
"With how things are going, I'm not so sure that the sun will rise again...." Dr. Strange said as he started drawing up magic circles.
"Exactly." Reed said.
Dr.. Strange almost faltered when he heard that answer.
"Well, are you at least certain that it won't do anymore harm, no wait, don't answer that, let me focus!" Dr. Strange spoke.
"Superman get ready, I'll teleport you to the exact coordinates, then I'll teleport to my coordinates and press the button." Dr. Strange said, looking at Superman.
Seeing Superman's calm composure gave the others a feeling that everything would end up well.
Superman saw that a teleportation rift opened up and swallowed him.
As soon as he got to space he saw the brilliant earth, the sun and then he focused his eyes on the other side of the earth where he saw Dr Strange.
Dr strange was looking at his magic circles as if he was calculating something, then suddenly Superman saw him press the button in slow motion.
His super senses allowed the world to slow down to the point of it looking like it stood still.
Superman waited for the exactly right moment and pressed the button on the device exactly at the same time as Dr. Strange did, then... Nothing happened.
Dr. Strange had pressed the button... but nothing happened as well. 'Huh... don't tell me Superman got the timing wrong, no, maybe the device is broken?' Dr. Strange thought.
Suddenly two delayed EMP were released from the devices and rushed like waved towards the earth.
The EMP waves passed the planet's ulterior and then met in the core.
As they met each other they amplified one another and became strong enough to engulf the complete planet in an EMP field.
Suddenly every TV, computer and other electrical devices on the planets stopped working.
In some random location, Ultron was apprehending a teenager.
"You have committed a crime, you will be apprehended!" An Ultron Spoke to a teenager that had snuck outside of the allowed hours.
The teenager looked horrified but suddenly he saw the Ultron stop, and the lights in its eyes went out.
"Huh, did it get buggy?" The teen looked confusedly at the robot.
