35 Chapter 35: Sunny Returns

At the roof of the Stark tower, there was a microphone and a speaker. As Superman landed Jarvis spoke.

"Good day superman!" Jar is said, as if happy to meet him.

"Hi Alfred."

"Alfred?" Jarvis questioned.

"A nickname, so why did you guys light the sign?"

"It's the other place." Jarvis answered mysteriously, hinting that it was SHIELD calling for him. But Superman knew what it meant.

"Alright, bye Alf... Jarvis!" Superman said as he flew towards the helicarrier.

Superman found himself in a Nick Fury's office with Captain America and the director himself.

"Superman, you must have heard the news of Reed Richard and his team disappearing in space, we suspect another alien invasion. We want you to fly up there and look around, see if you can find clues that our cameras and telescopes can't." Nick Fury explained.

'Its not an alien invasion, it's a magical dimension.' Superman Thought.

"Sure, I'll do it now." Superman said.

As he was going to leave he found Captain America standing and waiting for someone.

"Did you also receive the mission?" She asked as he walked close enough.

"To space you mean? Yes." Superman answered. 'Did she wait for me?' he wondered.

"Fine, let's go!" She said as she turned around and started walking to an open area so they could fly away.

Superman was shocked, so far he has only reprimanded her and teased her, yet she was taking the first step to working together.

'Is my charm really irresistible?' He asked himself in his mind.

"Fine but don't slow me down!" he said provocatively.

After all he knew that the fantastic four, to be, are not lost because of an alien invasion, but because of other magical reasons, so Superman considered this a waste of time, at least he could enjoy teasing Captain Marvel.

Superman reached space and started to fly around the earth, looking around to see if he finds anything, not really taking things seriously.

Captain Marvel took another route, trying hard to find any clues. They did so for two hours before starting to turn back.

Superman turned towards the sun, enjoying its light, and that's when he noticed something very strange.

Right above the star, he could see something very, very far away. 'What is that? A galaxy of stars? no that's something else...' Superman thought.

Seeing as Superman had suddenly stopped and he looked quite serious, Captain Marvel couldn't help but wonder if he had found any clues.

As she looked towards the sun, she had to look away because the light was too strong for her eyes. 'What did he find?' She wondered.

Superman suddenly took off at a very fast speed. He had to go closer to find out what he was seeing.

He flew around the sun and continued to fly at extreme speeds.

Captain Marvel just saw him disappear as if he had teleported away, she tried following but she had lost track of him because of his speed.

she got too close to the sun and had to return.

'Did he really find something' She thought while her brows forrowed.

Superman flew faster and faster, and finally when he was out of the milky way galaxy he stopped.

He saw what it was... It was space ships in the millions, and they were heading towards the earth...

"With that speed, maybe within two years, maybe three. Who are they?' Superman thought before he flew back, this time not holding back his speed, appearing in front of Captain Marvel and hinting at her to go back.

She was very shocked at his speed "It was like teleportation... So he was still holding back before." She realised

The more she learned about him the more nervous she got. This guy wouldn't turn on humanity, would he? Who could stop him?

Superman was in deep thought as he landed in the middle of a street without thinking

When he got surrounded, he woke up from his pondering. There was a little girl, about 2 years old with her mother standing close by.

The girl pointed at him and started stuttering. "S-S-s..."

"It's her first words! Go on honey!" The mother got very excited.

"S-s-Sunneh!" the little girl said her first word in excitement while pointing at Superman!

Superman's eyes started twitching. He smiled as he stepped forward to pat her head.

"Good job little girl, but it's Superman!" he said with a chuckle. And as he was going to fly away he heard her speak her second and third words.

"Sunnejh Sunnejh" she seemed very excited.

The mom just smiled awkwardly.

'I haven't been called that in a long time, are they still calling me Sunny' behind my back? Has humanity betrayed me?" Superman thought as he flew back to the helicarrier where he found everyone waiting for him in the Main room.

"What did you find Superman." Agent Maria Hill asked on the behalf of the director who was also waiting for some answers.

"Our scientist didn't disappear because of an alien invasion." Superman said and everyone released the breath they had held.

"But you were spot on Director, there is an alien invasion on their way." He said as everyone awoke from their relief instantly.

"Superman, give us more information!" Captain America had arrived and asked.

"Because of the season it was hard to see them. but I flew outside of our galaxy and noticed what seemed to be a new, smaller galaxy but it's not, it's spacecrafts on their way to earth. I estimate two years time, three at most." Superman had explained his findings.

And everyone got sombre at this.

Suddenly the biggest hologram screens in the room changed to the face of Tony stark.

"Hello, hi, can you hear me, oh now I see you." He said quite casually.

"Tony?" Nick questioned.

"I'm always listening, you should really update your software protection." He added.

But Nick Fury didn't seem surprised.

"I have a plan for the invasion, in fact, I've been preparing for one since the alien invasion." He said, ready to surprise everyone, showing them why he is the greatest genius.

So the truth is that I might have gone slightly overboard when I said that she hulk is marvels greatest work. I haven't even watched the show.

I just saw the trailer and said "Nope."
