Chapter 12

Li Yuan spent two weeks cultivating diligently in his courtyard. He dissolved the 4th and 5th layers of the Seven Waves Pill and reached the 8th Stage of Qi Gathering Realm. His soul improved all the way to the Peak of the 20th Level.

He opened his eyes and terrifying cold light came out of it.

"It is the time to remodel my eyes," said Li Yuan.

Since his soul reached the 20th Level, he decided to remodel his eyes.

Why? Because to use the Heaven's eyes to its full potential he must reconstruct them.

Li Yuan took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Waves of soul energy attacked his eyes and started remodelling them.

Blood came like a waterfall from his eyes. But, Li Yuan was sitting without moving like a statue. A faint glow covered his eyelids.

After 50 days of continuous remodelling of his eyes, he finally opened them. His pupils colour changed from being black to golden. And there was some special charm to them that will make anyone stare at them and unable to look away.

The Heaven's eyes. This is what Li Yuan called his new eyes. He could now use the Heaven's eyes technique to its absolute limits.

The Heaven's eyes could see anything and everything if he has enough soul energy to freely use it. With Li Yuan's Soul level now, he could use it only one second. But, it was worth it.

He activated the Heaven's eyes and suddenly, the door opened. He was engrossed with his Heaven's eyes that he didn't notice that Qin Yin was near to his courtyard.

He looked at her and quickly noticed that there is a single problem.

Qin Yin who happily entered his courtyard as she wanted to tell him that she advanced to the Sage Realm after three months of closed-door cultivation. She wouldn't have reached the Sage Realm quickly without Li Yuan's assisting her by giving the Seven Waves Pill to her.

She noticed that Li Yuan's eyes were fixated at her. His pupils which were now golden gave a special charm to him. Coupled with his handsome face, he could be considered a lady killer now.

Li Yuan turned his face with his lips twitching. He has seen everything. And by everything, he means everything. He knew women snap when it comes to man seeing their naked bodies. And for him, fighting an army of devils is way less stressful than dealing with a woman who snapped. So, he decided to keep this matter in his heart and spare himself from any future headache.

Also, he couldn't help but sigh at his bad habit of forgetting about the outside world when he cultivates for a long time.

In his past lives, Li Yuan will spend hundreds of years if not thousands researching and cultivating without caring about the outside world which caused him to develop this habit.

"When did your eyes became golden?!" Asked Qin Yin with bright eyes.

"For no particular reason. Also, congratulations on your breakthrough" said Li Yuan. Qin Yin smiled and said " Your pill is quite amazing! I wouldn't have finished this quickly without it."

"That was expected." Said Li Yuan.

Qin Yin's eyes stared at Li Yuan. Before coming to Li Yuan, she went to report to Grand Elders about her breakthrough to the Sage Realm.

And after finishing, The 1st Grand Elder told her about what happened between Li Yuan and Jiang Yi.

"You don't have a chance with Qin Yin !" This words got stuck in her mind and kept repeating it.

What does he mean by these words?!

Qin Yin wanted to ask Li Yuan. But, she found it to be extremely hard to ask. She could only sigh and change the subject "Li Yuan, I plan to go to my clan after a few days and tell them the good news.".

Suddenly, Li Yuan's eyelids twitched violently which made an extremely cold light to flash in his eyes.

He felt that Qin Yin will suffer a catastrophe if she leaves now.

"I see... Then, I will go with you." Said Li Yuan. Qin Yin was stunned as she never expected that he will want to accompany her. She knew that Li Yuan is a person who doesn't like to waste time in things other than cultivation.

Qin Yin smiled beautifully and said "Could you be worried about me? I am a Sage now and only few can harm!".

Li Yuan's eyelids twitched even more and he couldn't help but think " Girl, you are raising death flags now with your words."

"I just want to move my body a little. I stayed here for too long and I feel that my body became rusty" said Li Yuan while stretching his body. He looked at Qin Yin and said "We will leave after two days. There are a few things that I should make."

"What are they?" Asked Qin Yin with interest.

"Go and prepare your things!" Said Li Yuan as he kicked her out. Qin Yin pouted angrily and left

Li Yuan stretched his body and looked at all the materials in his storage rings.

"That girl always brings trouble to me." Said Li Yuan as he started making things. The reason he didn't stop her from leaving the sect because he knew that she wouldn't change her minds and will go anyway to her clan. Also, he felt that he will greatly benefit from this journey.

Li Yuan finally came out of his courtyard. His storage ring was filled with many things that will shock anyone seeing them.

Qin Yin was already waiting at the sect's gate. And when she saw him, she said: "Why are you always late?".

Li Yuan looked at her and said: " Lead the way!". Qin Yin shrugged her shoulders and started walking. Li Yuan's eyes shone with terrifying light as he saw a person hiding not far from the that his body radiated murderous aura. His concealment ability is quite good that even Qin Yin couldn't sense him. But, he was extremely unlucky as he was noticed by Li Yuan who just remodelled his eyes.

Li Yuan took out a needle that was extremely thin. This needle is even thinner than a hair strand. Then, he threw the needle toward the person who is watching them while infusing his Qi into it. Due to the needle being extremely thin and the peculiar way of infusing Qi into it, the needle was hard to detect.

The person who was watching Li Yuan and Qin Yin finished notifying Jiang Yi about them using a talisman. But, he suddenly felt pain in his shoulder followed by everything becoming dark.

The needle was coated with a poison called the Mind Devouring Poison, a Peak Tier 4 poison made from the Mushroom he found before entering the Tang Empire's Capital. It will kill anyone below the Sage Realm instantly. And those at the Sage Realm will have to use all of their strengths to suppress the poison.

Li Yuan nodded as he prepared nearly a hundred needles all coated with different kinds of poisons.

This daddy here will kill every single person who comes to him.

Since Jiang Yi received the news, he sent a huge amount of assassins to hunt and kill Li Yuan. For Qin Yin, he ordered them to bring her alive and unharmed.

Qin Yin chatted with Li Yuan during the journey. Because she advanced a few days ago, she still couldn't get used to her new strength. So she didn't notice that in some moves that Li Yuan made, a needle will be thrown from his hand and take the life of a person.

Li Yuan threw a total of 30 needles and said: "That Jiang Yi sure likes me".

Li Yuan stopped attacking after he killed every assassin that came to kill him and Qin Yin. Of course, the news about the death of the assassins reached Jiang Yi and angered him greatly. So, he sent two Sage Realm cultivators to kill Li Yuan and bring Qin Yin.

The journey was peaceful and Li Yuan knew that it was the calm before storm. Still, he wasn't worried as he patted his storage ring.

They reached the Fire Glass City which has was ruled by the Qin Clan, Qin Yin's clan.

When the guards saw Qin Yin, they were stunned for a few seconds before smiling happily.

"The young miss has come back!" Yelled the guards yelled with happiness. They infused Qi while speaking and made their voices echo in the entire clan.

Quickly, multiple presences rushed toward Qin Yin and Li Yuan.

Qin Yin smiled as she sensed those familiar auras and her smile grew bigger when three people stopped in front of her.

One was a middle-aged man with sharp eyes and quite a long beard. The second was a beautiful middle-aged woman who Li Yuan right away knew that she is Qin Yin mother because Qin Yin looks nearly identical to her.

The other was a young man who was average in appearance.

"Yin'er, you became even more beautiful!" Said Qin Yin's mother as she hugged her.

"My little Yin has grown up!" Said Qin Yin's father. The young man smiled gently as he saw his sister.

"Father, Mother, Big Brother, let me introduce you to my friend, Li Yuan. He helped me greatly when I was in the Tang Empire!" Said Qin Yin as she introduced him to her family.

Li Yuan greeted them with a light bow.

"Then, I shall thank you for it," said Qin Yin's father as he bowed lightly to him.

Qin Yin introduced her family to Li Yuan. Her father's name is Qin Jia, her mother's name is Shi Xueyun and her brother's name is Qin Kai.

The couple were at the mid-stages of Qi Sea Realm while Qin Kai was at the Peak of Qi Gathering Realm.

Qin Jia was extremely happy and ordered the clansmen to prepare a banquet for Qin Yin and Li Yuan.

In the banquet, Shi Xueyun was putting food in Qin Yin's plate and urging her to eat. Qin Yin could only smile bitterly at her mother as she put more and more food in her plate.

Qin Jia asked Qin Yin about her stay in Tang Empire and when she came back while Qin Kai was talking with Li Yuan.

"How did you get into Qin Yin's good side? My sister is too fierce!" Said Qin Kai which in turn made Qin Yin smack him in the head.

"Don't listen to my stupid little brother! He doesn't know what he is speaking of" said Qin Yin.

"You see!" Said Qin Kai while rubbing his head. Qin Yin gave him a threatening look which made him shrink his shoulders and said: " My Big sister is the best!".

Li Yuan saw the happy mode of the family and couldn't help but smile lightly. He stood up in the middle of the banquet and said "Excuse me, but I have to do something. It will only take one hour."

Qin Yin wanted to go with Li Yuan but he stopped her and said " Stay with your family. It has been a long time since they last saw you." Qin Yin could only nod and let Li Yuan leave.

"Say, do you like that guy?" Asked Shi Xueyun which caused Qin Yin's face to turn red.

"The way you look to him makes me remember how your mother looked at me in the past!" Said Qin Jia. Shi Xueyun looked at him and smiled. She said" Really? I remember that you chased after me from one city to the another as you wanted me to glance at you!".

Qin Jia smiled embarrassedly and said, "Honey, we should keep these stories for ourselves!".

Qin Yin and Qin Kai started laughing and continued the banquet. Of course, Shi Xueyun wouldn't let Qin Yin without asking her a few more questions.

"How did you met him? What is his background? How did he capture your heart?...." The more Shi Xueyun asked questions, the redder Qin Yin's face will be.

While the family continued the happy banquet, Li Yuan left the city while sighing.

His eyelids continued to twitch and headed toward the direction that caused his eyelids to twitch more.

"Why I am doing all of this?" Said Li Yuan. He didn't know why, but he felt that he shouldn't let anyone reach the Qin Clan.

He saw two middle-aged men appearing in front of them. They were from the group that followed Jiang Yi to the Profound Heart Sect. Their cultivation was at the 1st stage of the Sage Realm.

"You two, I want to finish quickly. So let get over with it" said Li Yuan.
