Chapter 5.

"Where are we going now?" said Becca. "We are going to get something to eat," said Luka. "What sounds good?". Quietly, Becca in her crude mind whispered to me, "You, duh". I pushed Becca's shoulder to make her shut up. "What was that Becca?" said Luka. "Um… nothing. I asked J what sounds good to her" said Becca, as her face turned a bright crimson color.

"Whatever you girls want… I'm up for anything" said Jesse. "I'm not overly hungry," I said. "Chinese food sounds good too J! What a great idea!" said Becca. "Luka, what sounds good to you?" said Jesse. "I agree with Becca, Chinese is fine with me," said Luka. "What about you Jenny?" said Jesse. "That's fine with me" I said, glaring at Becca. Becca is the type of person who can eat out an entire restaurant, and still be hungry. I, on the other hand, can eat the amount of an average person, nowhere near as much as Becca. Jesse told the driver to go to a Chinese restaurant nearby. We drove around for ten minutes, but then pulled into a restaurant.

As we got out of the car, the air seemed as if it got twenty degrees colder. Not to help, it was night time, so the air felt even colder. I was only in a t- shirt and shorts. My body started to shake, and goosebumps arose up my arms and down my legs. "Jenny, are you cold? Here, take this" said Jesse as he took off his massive sweatshirt, briefly exposing his well-defined abs. As he handed his sweatshirt to me, Becca quickly did her best to make herself look cold, so she could see if Luka would give her the same reaction. "Thank you, Jesse, you don't need to do that" I said as I threw on the sweatshirt. "Yes, I did," said Jesse as he held the door for us.

As we entered the building, we were overwhelmed by the smell of foreign foods. "How many today" said the hostess in a thick accent. "Four please" said Jesse. "Anything for you Mr. Marinos" said the hostess eyeballing him. I couldn't help to feel a little awkward in this situation. I almost felt jealous. She took us to our seats and basically threw herself at Jesse. "What can I get for you to drink Mr. Marinos?" said the woman. "Serve my ladies first" said Jesse. "What do you want" said the woman sternly. "I'll have a Coke please," I said. "And I'll have a diet," said Becca. "Okay, what about you gentlemen? What can I get for you?" said the woman eyeballing Jesse and Luka. "I'll have a whiskey, neat" said Jesse. "I'll have a scotch," said Luka. "I'll have that right out for you" said the woman. She walked away and I turned to Becca. "Desperate much?" I said watching the woman walk away. Becca couldn't help but laugh. "That's the usual reaction when we go out…" said Luka. "The unfortunate side effect of looking this good" said Jesse smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and stared down at the menu.

By the time the waitress came around, she clearly had no interest in serving us. Her eyes were glued on Jesse and Luka. "Mr. Marinos, what can I get for you?" said the waitress, staring at Jesse. "I'll have whatever Jenny is having" said Jesse. Dumbfounded, I stared at Becca wondering what Jesse just said. The waitress rolled her eyes, "Okay, what can I get for you?" she said staring at Becca. "Just an FYI Jenny is the other one… but I'll have the chicken with rice" said Becca. "I'll have that too" chimed in Luka. "Okay, what can I get for you?" said the waitress, obviously annoyed, as she stared at me. "I'll have the steak with noodles," I said. "I assume you are having that as well Mr. Marinos?" said the waitress eyeballing him again. "You bet," said Jesse. "And ma'am if you don't mind, we are kind of in a hurry…". "Of course sir" said the waitress as she walked away.

Becca and I were sitting across the table from Luka and Jesse. "So, how much longer to the house?" said Becca. "Well, from here, it is another hour-long drive," said Luka. "But it will go by fast, there isn't much traffic where we're going". "Where exactly are we going?" I said while taking a sip of my soda. "My house is on the Santa Monica coastline. We're going there tonight, then tomorrow I'll show you the property" said Jesse. "Where do you two stay?" said Becca. "We live in the house as well, although we both have separate rooms. You two will share a room, just like the other people who live there" said Jesse. "Who all lives there?" I said. "Most of my close friends, or the family members of my close friends. Just people who I care deeply about" said Jesse.

Just then, the waitress arrived with our food. As she sat the plates down in front of us, I was overwhelmed by the smells of the different foods. My plate was beautifully decorated, as was everyone else's. We all shoveled the delicious food into our mouths quickly. As soon as we were done eating, Jesse signaled the waitress who took no time at all to get to our table. "What can I do for you Mr. Marinos?" said the waitress. "Just the check please" said Jesse. "Absolutely" said the waitress. "Did you enjoy your meals?" said Luka as we cleaned our plates. "Enjoy is an understatement. That was probably the best food I've ever eaten in my life" said Becca.

The waitress returned with the check, ogled Jesse and Luka again, and we left. We got in the car and the driver sped away. We had an hour to go, and I was already exhausted. I felt my eyes getting heavy. Quickly, I was intoxicated by this strong scent of cologne, which I assumed was Jesses. Next thing I know, I laid my head down on Becca's arm. Then, I drifted off to sleep. I woke up what seemed like minutes later. I woke up to Jesse rubbing the side of my arm. I opened my eyes, and realized my head was on Jesse's chest for the whole car ride and his arm was around me. I looked down and noticed a small puddle of drool on Jesse's shirt. I started to panic, I prayed that Jesse wouldn't notice, but it was obvious he already did. Every now and then he would look down at me, but I didn't have enough energy to pick my head up. Nor did I really want to...

Next thing we knew, we were at the house. We pulled into the driveway, to reveal this amazing house. This upscale, two story home was clearly one of luxury. Although it was nighttime, the lights inside and out illuminated the house. Off in the distance we could hear the crashing of the waves hitting the beach. The sky was full of thousands of bright stars. The air was crisp, and clean. "Welcome to your new home, girls" said Jesse in a tired, yet masculine voice. "Come on, let us show you around," said Luka. As we walked to the doorway, we saw a giant camera up in the archway. Becca and I exchanged glances, and just assumed it was protection for the home.

Luka opened the door and ushered us in. As we walked in, we were completely mesmerized by the enormity of the house. "This is your house?" I said to Jesse. "This place is huge!". Jesse laughed. "Can we show you girls around?" said Luka. "Absolutely!" shouted Becca. "Actually, it is pretty late, how about we show you your room, then we can give you a tour in the morning?" said Jesse, watching me slowly walk in. "Oh, that's fine, whatever you want to do J" said Becca. "Yeah, that's fine with me" I said in between yawns.

"Wait, we left our suitcases in the car," I said turning to Jesse. "No, our driver already took them to your room," said Jesse. "Follow me". We followed Jesse and Luka through the giant living room, filled with leather furniture, an enormous television, and a massive chandelier in the center of the room. As we walked down an enormous hallway, I heard Becca say, "J this place is incredible". "Baby you haven't seen half of it," Luka laughed.

I could feel Becca staring into my soul as we followed the boys to our room. We followed them for what seemed like forever. We went down a giant hallway, filled with doors to the unknown. Then at the end of the hallway, Jesse opened a door. We assumed it was the door to our room.

"Here it is," said Jesse. "Hope you girls like it". We were mesmerized to see two beautifully made beds, a giant television, a small hot tub by the back window. Outside, we could clearly see the outline of the ocean. We looked by the ends of each bed to see our suitcases lined up. "Jesse, this is amazing," I said. "You seriously don't need to do this for us". "Jenny, you don't understand, I want to. I made a promise too". "Well we appreciate it" I said, still dumbfounded by the enormity of the place.

"Well, we'll let you settle in, tomorrow we'll introduce you to everyone, and we'll show you around" said Luka. "Goodnight Luka," said Becca. "Goodnight Jenny," said Jesse. "Goodnight Jesse, goodnight Luka" I said, barely keeping my eyes awake. Becca shut the door, by the time she turned around, I was already sprawled out across the bed. "J, you have got to be kidding me". We just got here, and you don't want to explore?" said Becca. "Nope, I want to sleep. We can do all of that tomorrow" I said, my words muffled by the pillow. "Fine, we can tomorrow, I guess we can go to bed," said Becca. "B it's two o'clock in the morning, I've been on a plane all day. I'm sure you want to go to bed too. I'll help you unpack tomorrow, but for now let's just go to bed" I said, sternly. "Fine. Goodnight J" said Becca, as she crawled into the thick sheets. "Goodnight, B" I said. Finally able to close my eyes and not worry about being awoken again.
