Emma buried her head in James' shoulder, trying to still her constant sobs.

Her mother was dead. And there was nothing she could do about it.

Emma muttered to herself.

"No, no, no, no, this can't be a reality. She's not dead. My mother's not dead. She can't be," she mumbled to herself, knowing that this was the truth that she really wasn't there anymore.

Her breath was shaky, and her hands trembled, as she took one last look at her mother's blood-drenched corpse.

James didn't speak a single word, this time not knowing how to comfort his girlfriend.
