Trouble on the first day

*RIIIIIINNNGGG*

Suddenly hearing a loud ringing in his room, Aeon was woken up confused as to why was this happening. He then heard

"It's now 6:30 am, all personnel are now allowed to enter cafeteria and eat breakfast until 7:30 am"

Hearing this, Aeon quickly took a quick bath and left the room. Inside the corridor he saw no one which he thought was very weird, so he made his was up the stairs and into the main floor, where he also didn't find anyone.

Finding this also weird, Aeon decided to look around the base as to were people went. After 2 minutes of searching, Aeon came up on a line where personnel of different ranks were linned up to enter what seemed to be a huge cafeteria.

Standing at the back of the line, the man in front of him that held the rank of specialist, turned around and saw the young Aeon and said

"You must be new." He then extended his arm and shook Aeon's hands before saying

"The name is Karl Dryxus, you just call me Karl"

Aeon then replied "Name is Aeon, just Aeon how did you know im new?"

Hearing his reply Karl smiled a bit and said "You have very peculiar features and not hearing anything about you indicates that you are relatively new and rumors about you haven't hand the time to spread yet.

That and also because you are wearing a recruits uniform and arrived very late while simultaneously looking around in confusion"

Aeon simply scratched the back of his head while looking down in embarrassment, which prompted Karl to laugh.

After their introduction Aeon and Karl immediately hit it off despite their age difference, with Aeon being being 14 years old and Karl being 21.

Since they still had some time until they could enter the cafeteria, they both spoke about their lives. It turned out that Karl is from a family of farmers living in the outskirts of the capital and that he joined the military in the nearest city to the capital called "Lordell".

There he spent a full year being a recruit until he was deemed talented enough and transferred to the main base along with being promoted to private.

Karl was surprised to learn that Aeon was actually an orphanage instead of being an untalented noble being sent to the military.

After talking for almost 10 minutes they were finally able to enter the cafeteria, where Karl said "It was nice to meet you Aeon, but I have to meet with a friend of mine before eating so I hope we meet again"

"Alright, until we meet agian" said Aeon as he extended his hand for a handshake and then departed ways.

Aeon the went to get some food from the servers, but discovered that most of the good food had finished, which made him understand why the whole base was empty when he first woke up.

Getting some Tuna sandwiches that he got used to from previous bases and decided to look for a place to sit and eat.

When Aeon finally found a place to sit and eat a few meters ahead of him that required him to walk between some people.

As he was about to arrive, he suddenly spotted one of the Recruits moving his leg to block his path in an attempt to trip him and make him fall.

'I really tried my best to avoid causing any commotion on my first day, but it seems trouble follows me everywhere. You tried to trip me so don't blame me for what is about to happen'

Aeon simply just walked into the leg, but what happened never entered the mind of the assailant that tried to trip that him.

*CRACK*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" a loud shout reverberated throughout the cafeteria.

As soon as the loud shout was heard, multiple Senior Privates and Specialists surrounded the area, and asked what had happened. One of the friends of the boy that attempted to trip then said

"This dirty noble broke my friend's leg"

"First of all im no noble, I was raised up in an orphanage. Secondly, he broke his leg trying trip me so its not my fault, it's his for being so weak and pathetic" shrugged Aeon

Most of the people that heard Aeons words started laughing, while others started to ridicule this the egoistic kid in front of them.

"Come with me boy, I will take you to the General's office for disciplinary actions" said one of the Senior Privates as he started to extend his arm towards Aeon.

Just when he was about to touch him a feminine voice was heard "There will be no need for that"

Immediately recognizing the voice everyone other than the boy with broken leg and Aeon saluted.

"I watched the ordeal since the beginning, and what the golden haired boy said is true. Now take this fool and his lying companion to the General's office, and the rest of you disperse"

Listening to her orders, on of the privates took the lying recruits while the rest went back to eating.

Walking up to Aeon the female officer than said "Creating trouble on your first day I see..."

"..." While Aeon simply stared at a certain direction.

"Hurry and finish your food. Per the general's orders, I must show you around the base"

Hearing he words Aeon simply walked to the empty seat and started to eat his food.

Meanwhile Corporal Stephanie thought to herself

'What the Father told me told me yesterday was true, there is more to this boy than his peculiar appearance.

My trait {6th sense} started warning me the moment he was almost grabbed by that Senior private. It's a good thing I stopped him before things got out of hand.

I feel like things will start to get interesting once again in the base'
