Five Years Later

Five years flew by and I grew up, my body is now exceedingly stronger and it is not so tiring for me to use my mana. I have also learned a lot of new things about souls and skills, I cannot use magic spells and abilities I used to know during my previous life. In my opinion, the reason behind is that my soul went through cleansing which got rid of any imprints left by skills. However, if I try to perform spells with mana from my knowledge, I will acquire it but it will be at level 1, of course, abilities which are connected with physical conditions are out of reach.

Nevertheless, I am quite delighted with it; I decided not to learn my fire magic, for now, it will be too demanding to ask William for (Attribute Concealment) spell every time, I also have it but during this five years, I could only increase it to level 9 basic-level. Only after it achieves the value of 10, I may try to upgrade it to a mid-level which is not enough for me to hide from really formidable opponents. As for others, I think my abilities are sufficient or at least they won't be able to tell that something is amiss with me.

"Alexander, don't be late, you will have your first lesson with Mr. William," told me, my mom.

"Don't worry mom, I know."

It was a splendid morning, not too cold and not too hot a perfect temperature for a practice of my (Life Creation) skill. Today is the 784th year of New Age, November 5th, the Great Calamity is 13 years from now and from my feelings I am still too lacking in strength and abilities but I cannot do anything about it. It would be problematic to tell my parents why a five-years-old boy should go to monster zones and mysterious caves.

During these five years, I trained my mana pool and leveled just once, let me take a look at my progress.

That's all I have got, Rune of Light doesn't have any attribute so I was able to acquire it but Healing Light was quite a surprise for me. When I was experimenting with healing spells it was created, first I thought that this spell's attribute was light but now it turned out that its both: Light and Life. As for my attributes... They are very unbalanced, but I have no means to fix it... So, after I had discussed this problem with senior William, it was decided that I will obtain a bloodline first and then level up, after that increase my other characteristics through Gaia's additional points. Ok... Now I should go and check on my creations, I didn't lose time and became very proficient in my main spell.

I went through a dense forest and came to a Giant Sequoias, yes, it is one of my creations as well. I tried to create a tree of life, but my mana was insufficient so, the Baby Tree of Life was born, it is not a real and majestic tree of life but a smaller and much weaker copy but still it is a very special existence. I came closer and sat underneath, a lot of small orbs were floating around me, they were wisps which I created, now you can discover hundreds of them around this forest and I am their creator. Initially, it was very problematic for me to create life but with time I started feeling better, my creations loved me and thanked me for giving them life. I still don't know how exactly my creatures get their souls, is it from my skill or from Soul Cleansing Gate, nonetheless I am happy to see them cheerful and full of joy.

"You came!" sounded a weak and gentle voice from above.

"Yes, I always visit you and Elder," said I.

A small snow-white bird landed on my shoulder and started rubbing her head against mine. It was a very magnificent creature, my first intelligent creation. I called it Feefee; I used a Caladrius bird as a foundation for it, Caldrius is a rare bird and historically can only be found in the Western Mountains sometimes some White Cathedrals are breeding them but not all of them.

"How was the night, Feefee?"

"It was cold but when Feefee is close to Elder it is warm," replied the small bird.

"Then you should stay closer to Elder," I touched the tree trunk and continued," I think he also wants to stay close to you."

"I have an idea, what if, Feefee brings other animals to the Elder? They also feel cold at night," innocently asked Feefee.

"Maybe later, but for now, it is hard to separate them from their homes."

"Then what is Feefee's home?"

"Isn't Elder you home?"

"No! Feefee's home is where Feefee's master lives if the master doesn't live with Feefee then Feefee doesn't have a home."

"Ok, ok... I will take you with me soon, don't worry."

I stroked her head and laughed, she was cute and innocent. From my observations, my creations possess zero knowledge, so Feefee knows nothing about the village and the world beyond the forest. It took me a whole year to instruct her how to speak and communicate with her, also low intelligence also influences Feefee's performance.

"Feefee, I will soon go deeper into the forest and you are going with me, so please tell small wisps not to go far from Elder."

"Don't worry, master, wisps always listen to Feefee," said the bird and puffed out her chest.

"Of course they listen to Feefee, Feefee is a very good girl, so they like her."

I can't help it; she is really adorable and it is impossible not to pat her head or massage her under the beak.

"Ok... Feefee I must go, be a good girl and don't mess with other animals."

"Master is already leaving? Feefee wants to go with her master."

"Feefee you are an elder sister for Eldar, he is afraid of staying alone, so Feefee must stay and comfort him."

She sighed and flew towards the Small Tree of Life.

"Feefee understands, Feefee is a good girl, she will take care of small Elder."

"Thank you! Don't forget, tomorrow we will go deeper into the forest."

"Feefee won't forget."

I went back into the village; it was still nearly an hour before noon but I want to spend more time training, so I can become stronger than in my previous life.

I went to the Dr. Roses house and knocked.

"Oh, hello Alexander, isn't it too early for your training?" asked me, Dr. Rose.

Dr. Rose is a real beauty but still very young and... Factually, I am the youngest one.

"Hello, Dr. Rose, I was so excited and couldn't wait, sorry."

I tried to act cute and childish or otherwise, everybody would know about my secret.

"Don't worry, did you have breakfast?"

"Yes, but it would be great to have another one," I laughed.

She softly flicked my forehead and said, "It is bad to be greedy."

"But Dr. Rose is kind and she will always forgive me."

"Ahaha... You are right, ok, come in. I will prepare you some breakfast."

We both laughed and I entered the house.
