Grey moved in the battlefield whilst caring the pale looking Abe Kohler, even though Kohler had used pure mana to stop his bleeding.

In the short time that Kohler bled, he bled from four big injuries, also considering the blood that was in his limbs when he lost them.

Thus he was missing blood.

"Agh! This hurts... Thank you Grey... Sorry for swearing at you back then... Reflex..."

Grey just nodded with a very tired look on his face observed their position in the big battlefield, all he could see was fighting and death.

"Not to judge you or anything, but you did not seem confident against those two, which is something that usually does not happen with you, are you alright."

Pant. Pant. Pant.

Grey looked at Kohler with an contemplative look on his face as he heavily breathed out.

'You try and cast the equivalent of a low tier 2 combination spell whilst having tier 1 magic channels. The pain alone is similar to the pain of having a Source Ignition. I am lucky I did not pass out from the exhaustion. I could only retreat knowing the male would not abandon his female counterpart to chase us.'

"We have to meet up with the rest of the team, I chose this direction because I assumed they would have retreated in this direction, if they are alive they should be in this place."

Grey left his awareness try to observe through the walls of fighting humans.

Grey could not heavily use spells for the next minute or two, or he would risk his magic channels developing tears on the internal structure.

That could impede further progression in his magic career, thus finding back up in this field of battle was necessary.

"What's up? This is actually my first time hearing you swear."

"I think we are being trapped in a big net, I believe that whole battle was to tire me. My enemies…"

Grey did not waste time to think of anything as a cloak of fire started to materialise on his shoulders, his results from using his awareness to study the land did not give him good results.

"GREY, DAMN YOU LOOK COOL!"

Grey had his face grimace in pain when casting the spell, the pain was difficult to deal with, but it was lessening as the time progressed.

However the net around them had not yet enclosed, thus there was still an opportunity to act.

Grey picked up the big fellow, he did not give Grey trouble with his mass, due to recent mass lost and the fact that Grey was very physically fit.

Grey took off in an explosion of high speed, flouting a metre in the air, it was the second time showing a flying spell, but all of them could only allow him to fly a metre in the air.

The flame cape was powerfully jetting fire out which increased his speed as he wizzed in the battlefield trying to reach the place where the net was still open.

As Grey flew, Abe Kohler looked at Grey like it was the first time they were meeting, his teammate was a tier 1 mage like himself but he could fly using a spell.

Flying spells were usually found in tier 3, and those who had them hid them, most tier 3 mages would go through the tier 3 realm without using such a spell type.

"Kohler!"

Kohler was put out of his stupor as he heard Grey shout at him, and at that moment he knew what he had to do.

Mana flowed from his body in large amounts, immediately large tall pillars of earth surrounded the duo.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

There were big explosions as the pillars were bombarded with powerful spells, as the attacks stopped the pillars started to crumble.

It seemed the attacker knew the amount of attacking required to neutralise the defensive earth pillars.

"Grey... I am feeling a massive threat from that woman."

"I know, me too."

Kohler and Grey looked at the woman who had attacked their defence, she was standing in front of them in the direction that they were moving towards, her behaviour gave out her attitude.

"I cannot let you escape again Grey."

Grey had calm face as he observed the place they were in, it seemed as if they were slowly being isolated from their Arinese allies, which was difficult to do in a big open fight.

"Grey is seems our allies are dying much faster around us, that does not make sense, correct?"

Grey did not answer him, he kept looking around for an opening.

"Grey, you do not look too good. Though I must say it is to be expected from you to force those cousins to use Legendary spells, but you still somehow managed to come out on top. Though I must say we are very curious on how you survived against a Legendary spell of that type considering you were the most close to its blast centre."

Grey did not answer the woman, and she did not seem to be angry rom being ignored.

"Grey do you know this woman who clearly holds malice for you, but it seems as if she is talking to an old friend, weird right? Though I must say she has that vibe that Lt Stein has when she is around you."

Kohler's statement prompted Grey and the woman to focus on the big fellow for different reasons.

'Is your intuition really in tune with gossip?! But I must say, your character judgement is on point.'

"Grey… I am in trouble…"

Abe Kohler had a troubled look as the woman focused on him, even though her face did not change from an amicable one, the look of her eyes was murderous.

If the woman had a murderous look previously, right at the moment she wanted to do the deed, the overflowing mana showed she was ready to kill this Abe Kohler.

However before she could lose her top a hand was put on her shoulder.

"Lieutenant these two were trying to make you lose your cool."

"Ah Signe, you have come?"

'Fuck, so we were found out. Another of one of my enemies, the one I let escape. I cannot say I did not see this coming, past Grey you should have finished the job.'

Grey looked at Signe's face that was full of unrestricted hate and loathing, Grey could also observe bits of self blame in her myriad of emotions.

Abe looked at Grey as he still had a calm face even though he was scowling inside.

Their improvised plan was to make the woman lose her top and use the opportunity to escape, even though they had not talked about it.

The fact that Grey allowed Abe to keep talking about whatever he was talking meant that he agreed with it.

"Grey did you really lose your virginity? Tell me about the girl, so I can hunt her down and kill her after dealing with you."

Grey did not answer the question, even his face not even change, even as Qila was being threatened.

"Knowing you, it is just casual, is it not Grey?"

'I know what you are doing, stalling, but I also need time to let my magic channels rest, a minute should be enough for me, what about you?'

Explosions of the fighting could still be heavy around the area.

"Grey, someone came into this entrapment through the hole they had not closed, who do you think is coming."

Abe and Grey looked just beyond Signe and the other woman's position.

"Lieutenant I should finish Grey before the rest of his team come here?"

The woman looked at Signe with contemplative look.

"Signe, are you confident to win? Even when he tired like this, I am sure he can still kill you."

"Mam, I understand. Then why don't you get rid him, I am sure you can finish him no problem."

"I can kill if I tried hard enough, but I don't want to kill him. I want to take him alive."

Signe's face shifted from happiness to confusion and to hate in a matter of seconds.

"I know what you are thinking, but I just got information from Jason which changes the plan from a kill mission to a capture mission. I will not risk him escaping by engaging him, we will wait for the net to close."

Even though the woman had given proper reason why they would not kill Grey, the look of happiness could not be hidden from her face.

Signe looked at Grey with more hate and loathing.

"Kohler, get ready for battle."

"Grey, but that is a tier 2 mage?"

"I know."

'I cannot allow myself to get trapped in this place, I cannot give my enemies more advantages. Let's start with this.'
