Grey looked at the female as she looked at him, she did not wait anymore and immediately casted two tier 2 attack spells to start the process of killing he fellow.

Grey launched tier 1 combination spell, [Whirlwind Step Freedom], the spell was a combination type spell of wind type spells.

The spell did not give Grey increased speed, what it did was to give Grey superfast dodging ability, by using the wind to control the body motion.

Grey felt it was important to continue to live than run away as it seemed that it was impossible to run away from her.

Grey weaved and turned as the spells that were supposed to hit him, missed him by a small margins, whilst being attacked Grey retreated.

"Huh...? Do such spells exist in tier 1."

The woman was clearly shocked as Grey evaded every attack she launched at him.

Whilst the woman was still shocked, Grey took the opportunity to cast tier 1 combination spell, [Manipulative Reflective Light].

The spell's name might be misleading but the spell was a combination of wind and light type spells, designed to help Grey get out of difficult situations.

'I have to capture him. How is it that Arin has not noticed him? I mean they sent him to this meant grinder of war where even royals can die never mind a peasant.'

The woman's aura changed as she saw that Grey was a real genius when it came to spell design, she wanted to capture this individual.

The woman was about to batter Grey with continuous spells upon seeing his dodging ability, she wanted to overwhelm him.

"WHAT?! What did he do?"

That was the woman's response when she saw Grey disappear after just dodging her spells, the fellow just disappeared in front of her and she could not hear any sound that he created.

That was the effect of [Manipulative Reflective Light].

'I can still feel my intuition telling me that he is around, it's just not sure where the exact location is.'

The woman kept looking around the battlefield trying to find him, as she looked around, she felt him getting away from her. That made her feel that she was right about him being a spell genius.

'The fellow is trying to escape, I thought he would struggle till the end. I guess he his more clever than the other ones.'

The woman started to chase Grey just by using her intuition as some sort of radar, she could not pick up his exact location, but she had a general area of his location.

'The fellow must have created a spell to make himself invisible. Since when was light used for concealment? I thought it was only darkness affinity holders that could dabble in concealment.'

As the woman was searching for Grey she was caught up in an explosion as she was not paying attention and was only thinking about Grey.

"Damn these worms!"

The woman was infuriated as she retaliated with a tier 2 combination spell, [Corrosive Frost Breath], towards the people who had involved her in their battle.

The area several metres of her was completely destroyed, there was black frost in the air due to the spell.

The mages and regular humans whether from Arin or Ruhen were frozen into ice sculptures which then started to disintegrate due to the corrosive darkness elements.

Grey who was in the general area felt the biting cold even when he was fair away.

'I am glad I did not get impulsive, this woman only wants to capture me alive. I believe if she really wanted to kill me she would have used those types of destructive spells. All my trump cards would have been lost trying to survive.'

"Huh?!"

As Grey was thinking, the place where he was located was hit by multiple attacks, which Grey dodged most of them as he still had [Whirlwind Step Freedom] casted.

BOOM!

"How…?"

Grey asked in perplexity as he had thought he had dodged all attacks, as one attack literally materialised in front of him and blow him off and removing his invisibility.

The attack seemed to have been in concealment before it reached him, and he could not dodge something he could not see.

Grey was trembling in pain, his body did not seem to have any physical injuries but he was feeling the worst pain ever.

The pain was preventing him from having coherent thoughts which prevented him from casting spells.

Grey turned his head with difficulty as he saw the woman come out of nowhere.

"How… Did… You… Find… Me…"

Grey had difficulty at talking due to the pain, but he was sure that he had kept evading her.

"You might have a powerful concealment spell, but you are not a concealment expert."

"Ahh… That… Big… Frost… Cloud…?"

'She used that spell to cover herself and then disappear from my scrying, she then used her large amount of experience in concealment to get close enough to guess my position?"

"I guess you could say that, now come on in peace. I don't want to hurt you before we get to the torture chamber."

Grey had a severe face.

"Which… Spell… Did… You… Use… To… Prevent… Me… From… Casting…?"

"Oh…? That was a spell created by the interrogation division to create as much pain in the body without any injuries. But it's main ability, as you have found out, it is to interrupt casting."

'Very ironic that I have been looking for a method to do exactly that, but they have already done it, it is just very crude.'

Grey looked at the woman as she effortlessly lifted a 1.75 metre man with her 1.68 metre beautiful body on her small shoulder.

Grey looked around their position, it did not seem that any person could see her as she lifted him.

'I guess it is time to act.'

"Mage… Could… You… Tell… Me… Your… Name… I… Am… Grey… Gram…"

"Oh, what bad manners of myself. I am Francesca Crawford, and I already know your name. The little one squealed out your name whilst she was begging for her life."

'She must be talking about Alice, I guess she did not survive.'

"Are… You… Famous…?"

"Mmh? I guess you can say so."

As she was answering, she was already running towards the rear through the Centre where the battle was at its most heated, but no person seemed to see them.
